I flew in from Austin, Texas to have my passport photos taken. I was running very late because everything was going wrong(delays at rental car, accidents on highway). Joe was very understanding yet realistic with the timing(I needed to arrive before his next appointment). I ended up being more than 20 min late, and arrived with minutes to go. As a courtesy to calm my nerves about yet another thing going wrong, he showed me the template and even removed the red marks left on my forehead by the hat I was still breaking in. My particular photo was a quick sit, click, and edit operation — Joe was very well organized and has his process down pat. I highly recommend him for passport photos, and trust he’d do a fine job on any other photography needs.

Needed a passport photo taken for the United Kingdom. Called on a Wednesday, had an appointment for the next day. Appt took 15 minutes total. The person who took my photo already knew the requirements, which was great. Definitely recommend this business for folks needing passport photos.

Had some passport pictures taken from my baby for his international passport. Taking the pictures took 30 seconds and editing 5 minutes. The price was USD45. When I noted that was quite steep the employee explained babys are more difficult and he needed to photoshop the background. Given the fact that the white blanket he laid my baby on was filthy and full of brown stains I have no doubt that that took some photoshop work. However, obviously I don’t think the client should be paying for that. Furthermore, 30 seconds for taking the pictures does not seem longer that adult photos will take. The studio is outdated as is the equipment. The most important piece of equipment, the camera, is a Nikon D200 which is a camera that came out in 2005. The photos came out quite bad. Not very sharp and due to the rough photoshop work on the background there a little piece of the head missing. Most likely due to the fact that there were stains on the blanket at those places which needed to be brushed away. I have no experience with them for other kinds of pictures but given that passport photos are pretty straightforward I can’t imagine more complex photos are any good at this place. I recommend going to Sawyer Photo in Marietta. They charge USD20 for baby passport photos that meet international passport standards and I hear their place is much more professional.
