I appreciate you (Christian Brothers) trying to reach out but first impressions are everything. It felt like you were trying to take advantage of me. I literally work next door and have told this story to ALL of my coworkers.

I have had my car serviced here three times so far. Each experience has been excellent! The cost was as quoted, all the work was done correctly, my car was washed and cleaned inside spotlessly, the waiting room was comfortable, and the restroom was clean. On top of that I was served a fresh cup of coffee. I’ll be returning and referring my friends! Thank you Christian Brothers.

Not sure why my last review got deleted but I am posting a follow up review about a charge dispute. Their letter to my CC company had so many faults statements in it, it was hard to read. They didnt own up to a single thing they did wrong (damage the hub, rim, did not install all safety parts properly). They did not tighten the lugs on the wheels. It should be tighten with 80 lbs of torque and when they did it, I could take if off with my fingers. This building is not even worth entering for any type of service. He stated that I declined a diagnosis but he clearly came out and checked out the car with me. He sounds more like a car sales man than someone that is educated enough to go over car issues with anyone. This place is all about taking your money and not performing good services. They also use very very cheap car parts.

«Nice Difference.» That’s Christian Brothers Automotive’s slogan. So, are they a nice difference from the rest of the «stereotypical» car mechanics in our area? The answer is simply, NO.
How do I back this statement up after several crappy experiences and spending several thousand of dollars at this company? I back it up with a frown… :(
I sure wish, things would have worked out with this company because it’s in such a convenient location for me.
Here’s a FAST Pros and Cons list for you. It’s fast because I’m sick of wasting time thinking about this «shady» company.
Pros:
–Nice building– (The lobby is setup like a mother-in-law’s living room)
–They have a courtesy shuttle– (Often unavailable)
Cons:
–Service Managers– (Saying they called when they didn’t. They swear they called, but there is no record on my call log. ***This happened 5 times*** mainly for drop off oil changes, sometimes for overnight drop offs)
–Expensive service– (This is okay, IF they provided great, trustworthy customer service)
–Untrustworthy– (Yes, it’s a feeling, and I get it with them. Read below)
–OK work– (However, there is ALWAYS something wrong even after basic maintenance. These are cars and they’re going to break down! But it’s ridiculous with CBA. There’s always some bolt, or some «little extra piece» gets tacked on to my bill)

The following is a quick story to back up one of many bad experiences:
I’ve taken my wife’s car in for problem X, they act as if they’ve repaired the issue. I pay my bill, $ 900 later, I walk out. The very next morning, I get a call from my wife that X is still happening. We take the car back in, they keep the car for several days and let us know that X isn’t happening. The very next day, my wife calls me again and informs me that Problem X is still going on.
I don’t know about you, but when I take my wife’s car in to a mechanic I expect my vehicle to be serviced and serviced correctly. Problem X was never resolved by CBA.
Christian Brothers, listen to these reviews and do things right the first time. Be straight up with your customers and they’ll be more than happy to give you my money and loyalty.

You would think with a name like Christian Brothers, you could trust this business. Not the case. Look at the number of positive reviews that got filtered out on Unilocal.Same story with Google reviews, only those don’t get filtered. My guess is that employees or friends of CBA inflate their ratings with positive reviews, and that is shadyyyy.
I took my car in recently to get an issue fixed. I was experiencing a knocking noise when going over bumps. They replaced an axle and a tie rod, but when I left their place, not only did I STILL experience the knocking noise, but I had an additional problem — my wheel (and steering wheel) were wobbly! Turns out that they did not torque any of the lugs properly (they use an air gun as opposed to torquing by hand). This put me in a dangerous situation and left us seriously pissed off. When we took it back and confronted them, they admitted that the lugs were not torqued by hand and could have been loose without them realizing it.
Their work (and parts) are also warrantied for 2 years/24,000 miles and the same day I picked up the car, the issue had not been fixed, as I mentioned before. Instead of owning up to it, they denied doing anything wrong. Some warranty.
We ended up taking the car to a place down the street, Foreign Automotive. The owner gave us the lowdown on what happened with the car. They recommended we try to get a refund from CBA since they did not fix the issue and instead made things worse. My husband followed their advice and went to talk to the guys at CBA. They refused to make things right.
Do not go here, do not trust these «positive» reviews. I can’t speak for other locations of Christian Brothers Automotive, but this one was disappointing on all counts. Thanks for the wonderful customer service.

I read the review below & went to this place… I don’t recommend this place… they are expensive, but most importantly this place is not that great in terms of service /​technical capabilities. in fact while servicing the car they left a bigger damage causing even more expenses … i had to take car at a different location to get it fixed.
