Hoot Owl Attic is a neat, little bookstore and newagey shop. If you are in the area, it’s worth checking out and digging through the books. I did find an out-​of-​print book on Zen Buddhism that I’d been looking for at Hoot Owl’s. The prices are pretty decent too. They do have a good selection of used books. HOA sells some craft supplies as well. I’m not into the newage genre as much as witchcraft and neopaganism, so there’s not as much at this store as some of the other places I’ve shopped. It’s definitely more newage than witchy.

A small gem of a place with a great selection of books, classes, gems, candles/​incense/​oils, and more. It’s also connected to The Inner Space now, where you can get a variety of readings of any type — tarot, medium, runes, hynotherapy, and loads more.
Every third Saturday and Sunday they have a psychic fair where you can get two readings for $ 35, which I love. I went first with a LivingSocial deal, and that pricing was more what I prefer for a half hour reading ($ 20) — if they keep offering that deal, I will definitely go back more often than at regular prices.
The staff was mostly friendly and helpful. If they had chairs/​couches/​space for reading and relaxing, it would be even better!

I haven’t been to Hoot Owl since they moved from Allen Rd, but if the new place is like the old, this is a good metaphysical store with an extensive book selection and a lot of pagan gifts and jewelry.
