I had the privilege of working with Dr Sonnenberg for many, many years. He is amazing and the best endodontist I’ve ever seen. He has done 7 root canals on my husband (most were redos from root canals done elsewhere by other dentists) and all are still perfect. We no longer live in SLC but if my hubby needed another root canal or I needed my first, we wouldn’t hesitate flying there to have Dr. Sonnenberg do it. He’s THAT GOOD!
Don’t let your general dentist do your root canal! You have a far better option and You’ll never regret your decision. Never! They don’t come any better than Dr. Sonnenberg. I know this man very very well and could not recommend him higher. He truly cares about doing the best root canal possible for you. Nothing less would be acceptable. He’s the best of the best!!!

Do you go to your family doctor to treat cancer? of course not, you go to an oncologist. Are you still going to your dentist for a root canal? It is time to see a specialist. I had no idea a root canal could be done with such care and expertise. I’ve had root canals from regular dentists, and from a specialist, and the difference is night and day. After having 2 root canals done with Dr. Sonnenberg, I would prefer a root canal by him rather than a filling done by a normal dentist. He is extremely consultative and is genuinely concerned for you and your teeth. He is very nice, and very thorough throughout the entire process. I highly recommend him over any other Salt Lake City dentist. It took me three bad root canals before I realized I was not getting the best work done on my teeth. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Save yourself the pain. Go see a specialist, get root canals done by an endodontist.
