This is my first ever post. This place was so unbelievably terrible that i had to make a Unilocal account. Please do not go here. We went with three people and ordered the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and two orders of general tso’s, one with fried rice and one with white. After ordering the two orders of the general tsos the waitress even warned us to pick something else. She said that its different and people either love it or hate it. She said she loves it. We also got the appetizer sampler(fried shrimp, fried chicken, shrimp eggroll and bbq pork). We all had a couple bites and coundnt eat it. Nothing about it was chinese. The general tsos had some sort of gravy on it, instead of a sauce. The bbq pork was super dry and the eggroll actually dripped grease. The white rice was not sticky rice and the fried rice tasted like it came out of a rice a roni box. Needless to say we spent $ 45 and left hungry. I wish they had a 0 star rating because the food was literally inedible.

Double Dragon has been a regular stop for me any time I’m in Sandy for years. I’ve been coming here since I was a teen, and the only way to get me to stop is to close it :) Great food, amazing service, awesome price!

My friend from my high school days, Paul Lau, parents owned this restaurant growing up. Don’t know if they still do but food was good. We ordered the curry shrimp and Hawaiian beef, which turned out to be chicken because the server wrote it down wrong but that was okay. My wife had the shrimp which arrived about 5 minutes before mine. Shrimp curry was good(according to my wife because I don’t like seafood) but not enough curry and WAY to many green peppers. Hawaiian beef/chicken was delicious. Outdated décor but I recommend if you’re looking for some good food.

If I could give them no stars I would. My friend and I stopped here and were seated immediately. We sat down and ordered. I got sweet and sour chicken with the sauce on the side. My friend got general tsaos with the sauce on the side and was told«made fresh to order can’t put sauce on side» well that doesn’t make much sense because of its made to order wouldn’t it stand to reason you can get it your way. It literally too three minutes from ordering to food on the table. Obviously all our food was pre made. The sweet and sour was deep brown and tasted like bbq sauce. The General tsaos was rubbery and cold and hot it spots. Obviously sitting around and microwaved. When we complained the owner said«you no like my regular think it best» we replied it was not fresh and it wasn’t good to us. She argued and said I get your bill. My friend said we aren’t paying for this and she said«you never come back». Seriously??? Because we didn’t like our meals? Don’t worry… We won’t. My friends daughter was at the counter and over heard the owner telling no… bitching about us and when asked what she wanted to order she said«nothing now that I heard you talking shit about my mom and her friend.» I’ll make sure to never go here again and tell anyone I know not to. It all could have been overlooked if they offered to get us something different but bad rude staff goes too far. This owner is probably the worst manager I have ever seen in my life.

This is by far the best Chinese food! I’ve grown up in this town and have watched this place continue to stay in business through the years when the others could not. I love the vegetable chow yuk and crab puffs and my husband and kids are huge Mongolian beef fans! The price can be spendy but worth it if you only go out occasionally.

I’ve eaten here many times thru the years and have gotten good food and acceptable service thru the years. I am kind of confused as to why folks would write great reviews of this place but only give them 3 stars. If the place was so great, give them the stars they deserve. I agree this is not a 5 star restaurant but shit, they give a great meal for the money and I don’t think anyone can disagree! I give em 2 thumbs up !4.5 all the way!

In the center of town, this nice little Chinese restaurant has great food. We had the house rice, sweet and sour shrimp, and a very juicy and delicious BBQ pork appetizer. The waitstaff is very competent. I was concerned when I looked at the menu and saw seemingly low low prices but we walked out with a check under $ 25 and we’re stuffed and happy

Normally I would not go to a Chinese restaurant in an unfamiliar place but this was the only place that I Unilocal’ed and some potential. See below: What I ordered: #1 combo which is chow mien, fried rice & egg foo yung. Pros: –price to quantity ratio was excellent. –taste was above decent. –service was pretty good. Cons: –the hours could be confusing, it’s not in Unilocal so I called in before I went in due to the confusion. Conclusion: –If you are around the area and cannot find anything better, go here!

If you like microwaved, deep fried batter, this is the place for you. The food was served within 4 min. of ordering. I questioned it as soon as I seen the Oregon Lottery sign out front, never a good sign for a restaurant. The inside is very dated, which would be OK if the food was good. We packaged it all up and took it home for the dogs. I was hesitant to feed it to them but my husband thought it would be ok.? We will not be back to this place again. The food was bland, also hot and cold. The microwave techniques need to be worked on. There appeared to be nothing fresh in any of it. Pretty nasty.

We live in Sandy and enjoy our meals are Double Dragon. They are a great local Chinese restaurant with friendly owners and staff. We often order out. The crab puffs are great!

Whenever my husband and I travel we like to explore both«famous» restaurants, those popular with locals and tourist, but also the hole in the wall ma’ and pa’ establishments. The Double Dragon qualifies as a hole in the wall. When you walk it you realize it was a Denny’s type restaurant turned Chinese. The new owners didn’t do much in the way of reorganizing or getting new seating and tables. Instead the Asian theme is conveyed through the painting on the walls and glass type flower pots throughout the table dividers. The décor could use a lot of help but hey they make their point. We weren’t starving and ended up ordering the Won Ton soup and their combo #1 which consist of pork chow mein, pork fried rice and egg foo yung. The soup had tons of veggies which I really enjoyed. The dumplings were a tad undercooked but they were very sizable which is a rarity with other places. The broth was tasty and well seasoned. The combo, was very good. The egg foo yung was nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside… just right. The gravy was not too thick and not runny either just perfect, as well as not too salty which often happens at other places. The pork chow mein was nice and crispy without being undercooked. As for the rice it too was flavorful and delicious. The service was good not exceptional but the prices were very very reasonable… cheap in other words. I love good food for cheap prizes! Surely a place to stop and dine when in the Sandy, OR area or driving through.

I think the below Unilocalers summed it up when they say really delicious AMERICAN ‘chinese’ food. But it is really good. Its pretty much the best egg foo yung EVA! The gravy — while not authentic and a tad too salty — well, I love it. Its, its, its… just…good. The interior looks like if a diner was wood paneled. Totally weird for chinese, but kind of cool in a kitchsy way; lots of booths and even a long counter you can sit at. This is another Sandy food staple. My parents moved us out there in 1985 and I am pretty sure its been around that long, maybe not — but I have definitely been eating the Foo and BBQ pork since I was 9 or so(1990 baby!) The staff is as friendly as can be and recognize both my dad and uncle by voice alone and get them mixed up all the time. Huge portions, one ‘combo’ dinner can feed two hungry adults. They also have a bar and Oregon lotto machines in the back.

For Americanized Chinese food you have found the spot of your dreams. The sweet and sour pork is my favorite item on the menu and its in the bright red sweet and sour sauce you could coat an apple in, it’s so sweet. The pork is deep fried and a pretty decent size. Unlike some places, where you bite into it and find you just got sweet and sour fried dough with hints of pork bits. The portions are huge here and the price is good, which translates to low. You will be taking boxes home with you for sure. The service is good and waitresses are friendly. We used to order the specials for 2 and the table was just loaded with plates piled high with so much food, we decided to just start ordering smaller dinners or lunch specials. They have good crab puffs too, as well as hot and sour soup. It’s a good spot to stop in Sandy for Chinese. It gets pretty crowded at peak times, but we’ve only had to wait for a table one time.

Pros: If you’re looking for AMERICAN-Chinese food, this is the place to go. Lots of options from fried shrimp to a mixed stir-fry(called the Happy Family) to even cheeseburgers & fries, surprisingly. If you’re trying to eat healthy, shy away from the fried foods. House specials daily & combo specials are an option, too(if you get the special for 2 or more, you get 4 – 5 different dishes that leaves a TON of left-overs for only $ 10/person). The service is very friendly & preparation of food to table is speedy. Cons: They tend to compromise freshness & quality for speed on some of the dishes, and if you’re looking for authentic chinese food, best to head down the street to Wong’s King.
