They packed my three items in a plastic bag without asking me at check out. I said let’s save the bag. He threw it in the trash… What a waste :/

I try to love Grocery Outlet because I think I am supposed to or peer pressure or something, but it is just okay. I have gone in here and have seen some bananas that I am pretty sure even the raccoons in my yard would pass on. I have found some good deals on canned goods so that is the 3 star. It is not as big as the one in Gresham but gets the job done. I like it because if I don’t want to trek through Fred’s then I think of them for a quick pick up, however, something stops me and I usually end up going home empty handed and make some unholy substitution in a recipe.

I always like shopping at the Grocery Outlets — one can get many things at highly reduced prices, and sometimes they are unusual items not readily found elsewhere. Of course, they don’t have everything. They deal in over-runs and surplus items, though they try to keep a reasonable selection of produce, cheese, lunchmeats, frozen and canned foods, etc. stocked. If you like something and its a bargain, then stock up on it — it may not be there next time you come. Whoa! They actually have a Grocery Outlet in this small town now! I stumbled upon it when coming down from Mount Hood. I went inside and bought some things I hadn’t seen at other G.O.s. The place looks pretty new and the selection is good. Hopefully Grocery Outlet will continue to expand into every nook and corner of the West without diluting what makes it such a special kind of store.

Ok, I thought the Grocery Outlet in Gresham was nice, but this one is even better. It’s more like a grocery store instead of a warehouse. It’s NEW and a lot cleaner than the other one. Again, if your looking for cheaper organic food, this is where you may find it. Sure it’s not a giant organic grocery store like Whole foods or New seasons, but hey, they sell kombucha and Naked juices for half the price. They even sell Amy’s Organic pizzas for 2.99…who can beat that? If your looking for organic toothpaste or mouthwash, they even have that too. I just bought some Tom’s organic mouthwash for 2.99 and I checked out Fred Meyers price and they wanted 6.99 for the exact same thing. Crazy. So if your going to Mt. Hood, or coming back from the Mountain, make sure you stop at the NEW Grocery outlet there, you may be surprised how nice it is.
