You walk in the door and are instantly met with the sweet smell of gun oil and metal. The sun glistens off the knife blades in the display case immediately to your right, and the patches and pins to your left offer a colorful contrast to the beauty of all the gun metal black. Adorning the wall are countless amounts of rifles and shotguns, as well as all the pistols in the cases under them. Seriously though, this is a gun shop, so obviously they sell guns, but there is so much more than that here too. All sorts of military surplus, pretty cool T-Shirts, a great selection of blades, and pretty much anything you need to survive the apocalypse… or a government coup. I’ve purchased lots of ammo from this location, both for long rifles and handguns, and the price point was pretty impressive. I don’t like the«big gun retailers» that in reality are sports shops that sell guns. I once called Dicks Sporting Goods to inquire about purchasing an extra magazine for my AR-15, and was then given a rundown of all the hunting and rifle magazines that they carried, but told that they didn’t have any magazines for AR-15’s specifically. It was at this point that it was suggested that I try Barnes n’ Nobles. Mind you, this was not just the front desk on the other end, but the actual gun counter that I had been transferred to. Yeah… It was here that I hung up and went to Al’s Army Navy, a place where the employees actually know a bit about weapons and firearms. I purchased my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield .40 from here, and the sales associate actually knew information about the firearm, as well as suggestions for a proper holster to conceal it since I have my CWP. This was a far contrast from Dicks, where I purchased another weapon at a previous date and they couldn’t tell me hardly anything about it, and in fact I had to show them how to lock the chamber open on the particular model. I purchased a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 – 22 and a Savage Stevens 320 Shotgun from Gander Mountain at previous dates, but I wish I had bought them here, and now I’ll be getting all my ammo for both of those as well as my other firearms from Al’s. They’re just an all-around better company, and I’d rather give my money to them.

This is a great family/locally owned gun shop and surplus outlet. They have a nice mix of military surplus gear(I bought two pairs of military goggles that I use all the time), and clothes(underarmour, columbia) and outlet prices. The gun shop is well stocked and although they don’t actually have a gunsmith, they can do anything that you would ordinarily expect of a gun store. Friendly and helpful staff. These are great people.
