The problem with this restaurant is every time I order off the gluten free menu I get sick. I’m not sure if the food gets cross contaminated with gluten. They do not have a lot of choices on here gluten free menu. They also use an excessive amount of pepper on there food. The service is usually ok. But when I told them I got sick in the middle of my meal they did not offer me a refund.

Bullet point review: –Nice atmosphere, well designed and lit. –Everything is so colorful and new… -…except for some plastic glasses, which were chipped. Possible health code violation? –Only con was ALL eight TVs were playing sports. Come on! –Waitress Jess was alright, not particularly friendly but attentive. –For fatties like me who calorie count having it integrated into the menu was very helpful. –Ordered the appetizer sample — Probably not worth the price but the food was good. Guacamole Spinach dip was the weakest. Classic Buffalo, mozzarella sticks, thin chips, celery and quesadillas were satisfactory. –Portsmouth Clam Chowder was tasty. Didn’t realize how good it was until it was almost gone. –Main meal was the Blackened Tilapia, which wasn’t as dark as I expected. I already love tilapia so the more grilled taste improved it. Red potatoes were forgettable.

The food is nothing special, typical american menu. I have been served dried out ribs on one occasion but mostly the food is prepared fine. The waiting time is unusually long even when its almost empty. The service has always been good and the place is clean.

I’ve been hitting up Applebee’s fairly regularly for their half-priced late night appetizers for a few weeks now. I’ve greatly enjoyed this. Service has been excellent. I’m a server myself so I know when I’m getting good service or the«screw you it’s late and I want to go home» service. The appetizers(whether they’re originally frozen or not doesn’t rightly matter to me for the price) are cheap and good. I’ve also had some of their desserts and was pleased with them. Last trip 4 of us went and got 4 appetizers for $ 33 and change. Not a bad deal if you ask me. The only issue I have — and it’s a mild complaint at best — is the wait to be seated for the late night. But really if that’s the worst I have to complain about, it’s all good by me.

It is a glorified bar, not a fan of bringing my children for sure. The servers were horrible, the food mediocre at best. Glorified fast food. May be fine for drinks and an appetizer but not a good place to bring your family for a meal.

It’s Applebees. It is pretty bad frozen food, microwaved and delivered to you on a heaping platter. I got married in Sanford Maine and the night before my wedding it was pouring and cold so a couple of the groomsmen and my now husband headed over here for some drinks and to watch the Stanley cup finals since our lake house was without tv. Aren’t I a nice wife. the Bobby Orr jersey even made an appearance at the wedding! Back to Applebees… They have cheap beer served in pitchers so the boys loved it. At about 10PM we got a phone call from them slurring their words and my maid of honor and I went to go get them. We had some of their quesadilla(really bacon in a quesadilla) it was pretty gross and then brought them home. The décor is like any Applebees. The new menu has calories which I like a lot!

The new menu has all items with the associated calories. It could be good or bad based on what you like. The hostess was indecisive about where to seat us and had us wait. Service was good. The spinach and shrimp salad. It was good but the stems were not cut. The cowboy burger was huge. The onion rings in the burger were great. The burger itself was at least 6inches in width and hung over the side of the bun. The burbon Chicken and shrimp dinner was tasty. It was cajan style. The potatoes were fried rather than baked

We were happy when Applebee’s came into the picture. You know what to expect food-wise *and* you can get it at midnight!!! Which is a big, big deal in Sanford, which otherwise rolls up and yawns by 9. The service has always been prompt and nice(we sit in the lounge). So when it’s late, you’re hungry or thirsty and want something easy, hit Applebee’s. Oh, and if you’re a fan of various pay-per-view sports, like extreme fighting, Applebee’s shows them for free. Have a brew and sit back and watch the show.
