Service was great until they see someone else that have a different background everything’s goes out the window. I was there for 20 min not once the waitress offer me any coffee while I waited for my food but everyone else that was there after me was offer some kind beverage. They look at me like I’m an alien from a different planet. I though we all made progress in this society I guess wrong some people still stuck in the hatred world we are living in nowadays. Just wear all white u might get proper services.

A five star all the way. I ordered the homemade hash single leg baked beans and toast. Homemade hash was perfect absolutely no grease whatsoever. Egg instead of medium was more like fried but still delicious rye toast very fresh. One of the best parts was a homemade baked beans with bacon. Absolutely delicious. My husband had the biscuits covered with sausage gravy. Once again the beans were absolutely fantastic. I would’ve liked A harder biscuit as the bread was soft but still delicious. I would definitely go back in a heartbeat and visit this adorable café that serves a gigantic breakfast

Cockpit café doesn’t hold the same flame it used to. Last time I went I had to use the facilities and something pretty disgusting was left behind. I understand that it gets busy at breakfast but for god’s sake tend to your facilities. The food is acceptable but not enough to really wow me. Go into Wells or Kennebunk and find something better.

We arrived at 11:30 today and found out that you can’t order pouched effusive or waffles but breakfast is available all day? The inside was loaded with more flys then customers, it was hard to eat when you’re trying to swat them off your meal. My wife ordered a broccoli and cheese omelet and the broccoli was frozen, not fresh and the raisin toast was do burnt I couldn’t believe the server brought it out! We were never asked about our meals, no one asked if we needed refills(which we did). This place stinks. The two stars is for the view of the airport and watching the airplanes. One and done

We arrived to a full dining room, and quietly joined the queue, which moved quickly. A few stools at the counter opened up and before I knew it, coffee was in front of us. This vantage point allowed us to see how hard the staff worked and the great dishes leaving the kitchen and helped make up our minds. I had the twin engine and was incredibly pleased with the eggs, bacon, and home fries making up the first plate and the pancakes and sausage on the second plate. Five hours later and I’m still stuffed. The picnic tables outside provided a great place to relax while watching airplanes depart or seaplanes fly overhead heading to nearby lakes.

I’ve eaten here many times always for breakfast. Today was no different. The food is always great! Some of the best breakfast in southern Maine. I would of given them 5 stars if our server was better. She was so unpleasant. You could tell it was her last hour she just wanted to get out of there. My father in law said hi twice with no response. She did her job but had no personality, and was on the verge of just rude. It is one thing to have great food, but it totally makes no difference if your servers suck!

Fun and interesting. Prices very reasonable for breakfast and lunch dishes… typical menu with added lobster rolls, oyster stew, and other New England items. Well worth a visit. Added feature is bi plane sight seeing flights from the back deck. Kid friendly.

Typical small town diner food. Delish and basic. Awesome view though of the tiny little local airport. Kids loved it. Onion rings weren’t my favorite and they were out of fried shrimp– darn it!

Actually found this place on Unilocal.Got seated right away but it got real busy 5 minutes later. Service was good. Restaurant was clean. nothing fancy but you can watch the small planes while eating as this is a local airport. Home made bread was excellent as was the homemade corn beef hash. A must try if u are in the area. Portion was more than ample

Have stopped for coffee or breakfast almost a dozen times in the last decade, while traveling for business. My dad first brought me here when I was a teenager and we were in town to see a friends airplane. It’s nothing fancy, but you can count on good home cooked food at a decent price. They usually have a special or two which is sure to please. The coffee is good and it’s always clean if a little dated. Who doesn’t enjoy eating breakfast while looking out the picture windows at the parked single engine aircraft as well as the active runways? Great place for parents with kids interested in aviation!

My friend, my wife and I flew into this little airport and we were kinda of skeptical of the small out of the way restaurant. It turned out great! The grilled blueberry muffin was fantastic and all of our meals were great as well!

Have been here twice now for breakfast, and I do like it. Despite being on an active airport, this is your standard diner; a nice greasy spoon kind of place with lots of local flavor and color. The food is average, but you get good portions for your money. Staff is friendly, and the dining area is pretty clean. Lots of interesting historical memorabilia on the walls. Will dine here again.

Flew in here yesterday for the first time for breakfast. The special lobster omelette(I think they called it the Downeaster omelette) was excellent. The omelette wrapped large chunks of lobster meat in delicate layers of perfectly cooked egg, without the slightest hint of wateriness, accompanied by just the right amount of crisp home fries, and unremarkable toast. It’s a greasy spoon diner in the traditional sense, with lots of local aviation flare adorning the walls, and plenty of cheesy aviation-themed menu sections and dish names. I can’t wait to return and try more menu items.

One of my favorite breakfast places. The home made biscuits are amazing and the baked beans are the best I have ever had. The cockpit café is by far one of the best airport restaurants. Lots of local flavor, I have never been there when it wasn’t busy.

I take my mom here a lot. Home cooking and lots of pie! They have specials on the board. Soup and sandwich combos and just about anything you would want for lunch. It’s not gourmet, but we keep going back. It’s located at the Sanford airport(hence the name) if you are lucky you will see the bush family jet!

If you like watching the planes, this is the place to go. Full of colorful locals, too, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Middle of the road greasy spoon. No reason not to go here if you’re hungry and looking for a standard lunch. Nice young lady waited on me. Very pleasant.

Awesome breakfast but very small. Go early if you go on a Sunday morning. My favorite breakfast there is the biscuits and gravy!

Great service, excellent breakfast. You can’t beat this place for good homestyle cooking at a great price. Be sure to try the homemade biscuits. Oh, and it’s right at the airport so you can watch the planes land and take off!
