After horrible service at another local place, we decided to try them. And we are so thankful we did. Lisa was so nice and welcoming, but most of all prompt. The service was helpful but not pushy. And the food was amazingly good. Not one person I was with was even slightly disappointed. I recommend the standard burger, the chicken sandwich, or the BBQ prime rib sandwich. The fries and onion rings were spot on too. Will be going back again!

Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. This hidden gem doesn’t look like much from the outside but wait till you take your first bite. This type of place normally worries me with regard to cleanliness. However I wss very happy to notice the 98.5 sanitation rating. My chicken sandwich was delicious and delivered to my table fast. If you are looking for a Ruth Chris dining experiance it is not here and neither are the prices excellent value for the really cheap price.

Nice little place near fairgrounds for Sunday brunch! Mmm stuffed pumpkin pancakes! Good service, obviously a popular place with locals.

Wow! We found Jeff and Lisa’s through Y elp when we were driving through the area and decided to stop based in the reviews. It was amazing – my husband had the burger, which was perfectly cooked. I ordered the antipasto salad, and the classic antipasto items such as mozzarella, salami, peppers, and olives were in small enough pieces it was easy to eat, and delicious. I am not a dessert person, but one look at their dessert menu and I knew I was a goner. I had the turtle cake, which was light and not too sweet, and my husband had the chocolate cobbler. Both to die for! In addition to the great food, Lisa was a wonderful server, cordial and efficient. We will definitely stop by next time we are in the area!

The homemade fried chicken sandwich here is absolutely awesome. The place is out in the boonies but it’s totally worth checking out. Definitely check it out!

Dropped by here for a quick lunch with my folks. I ordered a hamburger with swiss cheese, bacon, ketchup and mayo. The burger bun was soft and the meat was juicy. Yum! Cooked really good. Side order corn fritters was tasty with a Lil spicy kick:)

My mother and I go to Jeff and Lisa’s at least once a month. Best burgers in town. I have tried other items on their menu and have never been disappointed. The corn fritters are a must have. They have specials every day and homemade desserts. It is a small place but Jeff and Lisa treat you like old friends coming over for a meal. We are going again today and taking my grandmother.

In Sanford on business and had a late lunch here. Fried chicken sandwich was excellent, as were the onion rings. They had no problem handling our group of 10 and the service was top notch. When I’m back in town I will definitely come in again! Highly recommended!

I must say if I could rate this place worse I would. Zero would be how I think the environment is presented. Zero is how the menu is presented Zero is how the staff focus on the customer So I am from the north and do t rate local NC restaurants by reference to the best In The nation that we have available But the food must be fresh The presentation must be acceptable The depth of menu offerings must be deeper than three items Customers must not be hurried along because it is after 8 pm You should be able to have a glass glass. Not plastic I could go in but what is the point. This is a disgrace. Don’t go. Ever.

How have I missed this place? It is one of those places you’re always searching for. The prices are extremely reasonable! Easily the best prime rib I’ve ever had! Trust me — dessert is a MUST! Glad they don’t serve pizza ;)

Jeff is the chef and Lisa runs the joint. They’re a very welcoming and friendly couple. The little stand alone brick building is out in the sticks on Colon Road in Sanford, right across from a church. Generally, my husband and I like to go in for brunch, which is served from 10am to 2pm on Sundays. The hashbrowns are thinly sliced, crispy and delectable, you can get grits, too if you’re so inclined. I often find it difficult not to order the eggs benedict. Jeff’s hollandaise sauce is amazing. However, I’ve had occasion to try omelets and stuffed french toast with berries and oatmeal bread. I can’t say I’ve experienced a bad meal. However, once we came a bit late in the day and they were out of a couple of options, sadly. On Friday’s they do prime rib and other more high brow specials for dinner, though they do have a dish or two for eat in or take out Monday through Friday. For updates on what’s for lunch and dinner on a quotidian basis, check their facebook, they post reliably. Breakfast is also served daily, though I try my best not to be awake that early. In the future I’d like to make it for lunch, especially when they do bahn mi sandwiches! You can’t just find that anywhere in town. With such an eclectic and well-done menu, I’m definitely a fan of their work.

Here’s a little gem in the rough! It’s the kind of place I love to find and am excited to share. The Brickhouse Grill is out in the boonies… it’s going to take a minute to get there. Believe me; it’s worth the trip. Take 1 South out of Raleigh towards Sanford. Take the Colon road exit, turn left, and follow Colon Road for a couple of miles. The Brickhouse is on your right. Small. Free standing. Jeff is from Wisconsin, a professionally trained chef. Lisa, his wife, is from Maryland. They’ve been in NC for 26 years. This is their first restaurant, although they have worked at many. There’s a breakfast menu of standard items but since they make everything from fresh ingredients I’m sure there are some standouts there for you to discover. My friend and I stopped in for a weekday lunch. I had one of the daily specials; an 8oz blackened burger with blue cheese melted all over it. My side was the homemade onion rings. It was delicious. And while I was surprised to find the burger served with only the cheese… it was instantly clear when I took a bite as to why — the blue cheese was outstanding! The onion rings were plentiful and beautifully prepared with a light batter. My buddy had the Brickhouse Burger and steak fries. Both were exceptional. The burger was done to perfection and fully dressed. The steak fries were some of the best I’ve had. You’ll find the Brickhouse on facebook but to enjoy a meal you’ll have to find them at 1401 Colon Road, Sanford, NC. Phone; 919−777−0427.
