I originally left a great review for Window King of Sanford, as I was pleased(overall) with the work done. Also, he offered me a discount for posting a good review. However, being only 5 months later, I need to make some updates… The rubber roof installed over our carport/covered porch looks pretty good, and does what it’s supposed to do(i.e., it doesn’t leak anymore). There are a couple spots where the metal-wrapped fascias are flexing and«bubbling out» a bit, but we are satisfied with the overall look. However, we’re very disappointed with the way we were treated by Mr. Garrett, when we called to express a concern. Our concern is this… When the new roof was installed, Mr. Garrett’s crew didn’t extend the overhangs out far enough, and now every time it rains, water comes pouring off the fascias, onto our covered porch and into our carport. So now our leaky roof is fixed, but we get even more water on our covered porch and in our carport from rain pouring off the overhangs. When I brought this to Mr. Garrett’s attention, he kept telling me that they only extended the overhangs as far as the beams go. He made it seem like it was impossible to go out further with the overhangs, which I know is not true. We paid about $ 3,000 to get a new roof installed, and although it no longer leaks from above, we get more water on our COVERED porch than we did before. I kept emphasizing this fact, but Mr. Garrett avoided it. Some of his responses were: «Well, you signed a contract,» and«You said your were moving soon, anyway,» and«My porch gets water on it all the time; just put some Thompson’s Water Seal on it.» As you can imagine, these were not the responses I was hoping for, and I find his nonchalant attitude toward our issue very unprofessional. So now, my wife and I have a new roof that solved one problem(leaking from above), but created an entirely new problem(even more water pounding our covered porch).
