Highly disappointed…
Chuck wasn’t working there, and when I asked about the wagon they just rolled their eyes…

2 ½ stars. This place has probably been here forever and is a local favorite, that’s why it’s got so many great ratings. I really liked the people who worked here but the food was really mediocre. I ordered a chili dog and chili burger and mushrooms. The chili is really plain. Go to a chili cook-​off and you’ll taste what’s amazing chili. The mushrooms were hard to eat, near borderline terrible. Think it was the combination of the batter and quality mushrooms. The dog and burger were just ok. Really, this place isn’t that much better than a chain fast-​food but it is family run so you should come here first.

BEST chili-​cheese fries this side of Pluto Jack! Chuck Wagon, as theory has it, just appeared as an effect of The Big Bang, and Sanger, was actually built AROUND it! Lol, seriously, Chuck Wagon is the total F-​Bomb!!! In the best possible way that is. If you like hot-​dogs, then I suggest you order their chili-​cheese-​dog, foot-​long! It is not just big, but very tasty, as it is covered with their Supreme Tasting Chili! Lol. Plus they also have a «Clark Burger,» which is known in the area also. On a local note, if you ask ANYone that has been to CW, they WILL tell you that Chuck Wagon honestly makes the best chili around, hands down. It IS well worth visiting, and if you still have doubts? I will pick you up, take you there, BUY you lunch, and wait for you to tell me you like it. Haha. So, Chuck Wagon, in Sanger, «5 stars» all the way from this guy! Thanks for being delicious!

Chili freaking dogs, deluxe burrito, and a Clark burger for starts. No one else like them, not home without them.

Bomb ass chill beans. My favorite is the double cheese chilli burger. Prices are reasonable. Only thing I don’t like is Wednesdays their close. I wonder why…

I haven’t been here for YEARS, perhaps decades! Just as good as I remember it was when I was a child! Drive out here from Fresno for amazingggg chili. I got it coursing through my veins, the adrenaline and testosterone pumping through my skin and mind. All pistons firing!

No frills chili dog corner spot. Not much else around but saw lots of people eating here. They also offer burgers, corn dogs, fries, shakes, etc. Enjoyed a cheeseburger and corn dog.

This place is a legend. Love their food and that you can order Chili freeze it and make it later!

My wife and I have been trying to get to the Chuck Wagon for a couple of years. It’s a walk up Mom and Pop place that you stop in at when your in the neighborhood. She learned of it by word of mouth while flying home. A fellow passenger told her about the wonderful chili dogs. Our first attempt was a wash because the restaurant is closed on Wednesday. But this last Thursday we found ourselves in Sanger and hungry. The chili dogs are a foot long of goodness. I’m a big guy and a big eater — two were enough. A walk up to the window, order, pay and within 10 minutes we were sitting in our car munching down. If you like grub on the go you’ll like this place. One word of advice… Grab a bunch of napkins, or better yet, bring a towel. My shirt looked like I ran a mud run. But it was worth every splat! In the words of our former movie star Governor «I’ll be back.»

They have been a local staple in Sanger for many years.
Great place to come for good old american junk food when you’re craving it.
I personally love their home made chili (no beans) yummy with the right amount of spice! Warning it is super salty.

The chili chees burger is Awesome. Every time I come here I ask myself why it has been so long since my last visit. If you are looking for a legit chili cheese burger/​Dog/​Fries, this is your spot.

ChilI is awesome, everything else is OK but becomes awesome when smothered in their chili. Wish I didn’t have to microwave the hot dogs when I get home though.

While it’s true that Chuck Wagon isn’t the classiest joint in the world, it does scream home. They’re simple menu and family atmosphere has a wonderful effect on people who choose to eat here. Their chili is nothing short of amazing, and while some would argue the lack of an indoor restaurant is off putting, I disagree. Chuck Wagon’s outdoor setting encourages people to enjoy the small town of Sanger, something many restaurants lack. This «to go» style eatery has my taste buds excited for the next visit, and my heart excited for the adventure this place sets the tone for.

Great service, great food, great quantity. Every time I come here they are fast and friendly!

I didn’t want it to be true, but it is… This place is over rated. Like a few reviewers have said, compared to everything else in Sanger, this place is good. Sorry if you disagree.

Nothing fancy, ol’ fashioned simple style food for once a while.
It was one of those Monday’s that you felt like having something simple and experimental from the usual suspects (burgers, tacos or pizza). With the help of Unilocal I decided to go to this place.
When I got there I saw a line already posted outside, was hard to find a space near the building, and that was a good sign that something must be up about this place.
It was a small building with seating areas outside and none inside, which was a bummer since it was 102 degrees outside today, not to mention the freaking flies hovering over the area. The menu was fairly simple and not too expensive. Everything was about chili, which exactly what I wanted.
I got two orders of Chili Cheese fries, one original and the other with lettuce since I heard it was different and unique in taste. Let me tell you once I bit into that greasy, fatty red sauce with meat it was delicious. My heart skipped a beat and to me that was exactly what I needed.
I recommend this place for the Chili (No shit!) and will return again for more Chili Cheese fries this time both with lettuce. I just advise it is really hot even tho it’s shaded but the temperature and the flies will really tick you off. So if you’re a pansy boy eat in your car, I also advise don’t because Chili will seep out of the food and stain your car. Other than that Cheers and enjoy suckers.
I rate this place a 4.0 but the seating outside and flies including lowered it to 3.0.

Best chili dogs around! I have been here many times! If you are looking for a greasy delicious chili dog this is it.

I love their food more than I love myself. Seriously, Chuck Wagon makes everything better after a long, hard day. Especially their fries!

The long awaited chuck wagon review is here! Ok so I been coming here for about 20 years DAM IM OLD! And it’s totally a dive times 50% BUT… A good dive not something u can eat every day but for me once a month, I had almost everything on the menu and it’s all nasty good :) oily greatness and the world famous chili cheese fries!!! Probably not world famous but valley famous if u roll through the valley stop here and u will be happy, full and happy :) not in the greatest part of town but aren’t the greatest places in shady areas?
