Dollhouse Salon

My good friend recommended me to go see Kelly. I made a trip up to Sanger and am I glad that I did! Talk about the best haircut experience I have ever had! I have been to multiple salons but could not find one I liked. When I went to Dollhouse Salon, I knew I had found the right place. Kelly had the best personality out of any of my previous hairdressers. Not only was her personality the best, she did a tremendous job. I’m very picky about my hair but Kelly did exactly what I was wanting. With such an enjoyable experience and professional cut, I finally found my hairdresser from here on out. I urge everyone to go see Kelly and you will not be disappointed! If I could I would rate ²⁰⁄₂₀!

Kelly did an AMAZING job on my hair, I’ve had many of problems with other hairdressers but she for sure knows exactly what she’s doing and I’ve never loved my hair so much, it’s so beautiful and healthy. She’s also very sweet and it doesn’t take her long to make someone’s hair look amazing, if you aren’t going to her you’re totally missing out. If I could give this place 10 stars I would! Kelly is the best out there!

Went here based on a recommendation from a friend, as well as the comments and likes, (which were from personal friends, and very few actual customers). Took a few different pictures with me of what Kelly said was «a simple style and cut», explained. How my hair tends to not grow, and I had been growing it out for almost a year, she said «no problem, your in good hands».
She left me in the chair, while she went and prepared my color, texted on her phone, and gossiped in the back for well over 20 minutes, No client likes to be left alone In the chair for that long while you text and gossip. Anyways, she comes back, her phone is going off, she actually said to another girl in the shop that «her husband was acting like a BITCH today, arguing over everything». Super nice for a first time client to hear. She proceeded to ask a little about me, told me she had just opened, but failed to also include she just graduated from Cosmetology school…
A gentleman walked in and asked the woman up front to see Kelly, (guess he had an appointment) after about 20 minutes of doing my hair, she then proceeded to rush in my opinion, finished coloring my hair, put me under the dryer, sat the man who walked in in her chair, and gave him a hair cut while I was under the dryer, my dryer went off, and she was still cutting or in my observation flirting with her male client, and talking real low to another, so I got up to go to the rest room, so she would see I was finished. Her and her male client finished up, and she come and got me.
Once again we went over the «style» I was looking for, I told her I did not want a volumizing cut, or any layers, well like I mentioned earlier, I felt rushed every since the male client walked in, she hardly spoke while cutting my hair, and blow out.
The color was just «ok», but when I got home and actually played with my hair myself, I noticed how un even it was on one side, picture below will show.
Of course she thought she did a wonderful job, I paid her in cash, my fault, should have paid with a check, because I would have cancelled it.
And what do you know? As I was walking out I noticed the «male client» was waiting across the street for her when I was pulling out. She must had been in a hurry to get me out of there and leave.
I got what I would call a pro cuts/​super cut quality, and should have said stop when I noticed how rushed/​nervous she was to get me out of there. She needs to go and work under someone with experience for awhile to really get «the basics» Before attempting to be her own boss and run her own salon.
Overall the salon was cute, everyone was friendly for the most part, the bathroom was clean, and it was not too far of a drive from the north side of denton. Perfect for kids and mens hair cuts.
