Great food, however, do not come right when you are ready to eat seeing as the line is always out the door. Usually an hour wait. It’s totally worth it if you come about an hour before you’re hungry!

Great breakfast. Lots of food too. The Madres Migas was Outstanding. The best I have ever had, at home or on the road. I had to take half of it home with me. The pancake was Huge. It is equivalent to three of the Cracker Barrel pancakes. The place in Sanger is a must stop for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Had a couple of great Noon meals here. On the first trip, the waitress recommended the meatloaf. It was a good recommendation. On the second trip I had the chicken fried steak. Again, an excellent choice. Sides that came with the meal were excellent as well. I especially liked the corn fritters.

It doesn’t get any better. We went to the old west café in grapevine. While traveling back to Texas, we found this location. It didn’t disappoint! Great food, great service, great place. Thanks Old West Café… your breakfast ROCKS!!!

We’ve been eating at Old West since we discovered it over 5 years ago. Eaten here too many times to count. We always bring our friends and family from out of town here for breakfast. It’s exactly the place that we search for, hole in the wall type joint. Not fancy, great food, huge portions and affordable. This place hits all the marks. Staff is always friendly and we’ve always had great service even when it’s completely full which is always on the weekends. Be prepared to wait 10 – 25 min on weekends or longer for parties of 4 or more. They have several options(3 – 4 menu pages for breakfast & lunch) including some healthy ones believe it or not. The breakfast can’t be beat, my favorites are the Tex Mex panhandler and the stagecoach. But we’ve never had an item we didn’t like. For breakfast it don’t get any better than old west.

Solid small town diner, everything made from scratch for the most part. Food is well seasoned as well as an unusual menu with a variety of options. Extremely friendly waitstaff.

The food is so, so very good here. I really have nothing to say other than they should keep doing whatever they’re doing… and get a bigger location.

Very, very good place to eat real food at good prices. Nice décor, friendly wait staff. The coffee is incredible, but we’re not at Starbucks either.

If you are any where around Sanger and hungry go here. All the food looks great and the prices are right. I had the fried pork chops. Excellent.

What a fun place to stop by and visit! Food — 3⁄5 Service — 4⁄5 Atmosphere 5⁄5 Just a small town joint with the only window being a covered screen on the door. The atmosphere inside is just too fun though with tons of goofy signs and tables that are reminiscent of small town diner. Great décor for a small town vibe. Plenty of seating room inside. Portions here are huuuuge. If you are flying solo on the road, an entrée with a half order might be your bestie in this case. I got a ½ order of steak fingers with two sides for 7.49. The biggest thing missing from the whole meal? The only seasoning you can taste is salt. My food definitely needed more flavor, but you could tell it was all cooked(fried?) to order. — Steak fingers– crispy, big pieces, but not properly drained. Had to pat these and the corn fritters down in paper towels before eating them since they were covered in so much shiny grease still. — Gravy — not terrible, but there wasn’t any flavor to it! — Corn fritters — hot and crispy, but they each needed a pat down in my napkin. — Steamed vegetables — You know how restaurants do. Microwaved in a butter. They went down the hatch so I could get at least a little fiber in. Sides all sound so delicious that you agonize over which ones you should get. You get to pick two with an entrée, and you probably shouldn’t get three unless you want to fall asleep in your car before you even leave the parking lot. Okra? Corn fritters? Fried jalapeño? Sweet potato casserole? I WANTTHEMALL. Overall, a really fun stop. Worth another try when going down I-35 sometime.

Excellent spot, always busy on the weekends, but worth the wait. I have never had a bad meal here, but the service is sometimes lacking. The only thing that would make it perfect is if I could have a mimosa or bloody mary — no booze.

I had brunch here with a close friend one Friday. I’ve been to their location in Grapevine also. I recommend both! The food here is so comforting and delicious. The menu is diverse with breakfast and lunch choices. I can’t wait to go back! Only issue was there was little parking options and it was raining so we had to park across street then run through mud and in rain… worth it!

Great place, huge portions and extensive breakfast menu. EXCELLENT service. This place would be 5 stars in my book if it weren’t for… The salt. Even the eggs tasted like they were already salted. I do love salt, but I couldn’t finish my meal because it was just too salty. I think my blood pressure went up a few notches while I was still eating… My wife had the same complaint and couldn’t finish her meal either. It’s entirely possible that it was a fluke incident as I haven’t seen a single other complaint of the sort… Unfortunately, however, it’s unlikely I’ll ever visit again to give them a second chance. My only reason for checking them out was that they were on my way home from Winstar Casino, which I’m not likely to ever visit again. You can check out my review of Winstar to see why. So, to all you Unilocalers out there. Take this review with a grain of salt. Get it?

Home run! Thanks Unilocalers for your input. As we turned the corner in Sanger, my wife said this looks like your kind of place. My kind of place is not for everyone. I like a «one off» clean but funky kind of place with good food, nice folks and decent prices. This place is all of those things. We laughed as we saw some of the dishes being delivered to tables around us. Huge portions hanging off the plate. All kinds of chicken fried stuff on top of potatoes with gravy and biscuits. Not stuff I can eat but it sure looked good. I had the Migas and my wife had the Tico Tacos. Both dishes were excellent. As we finished up, Sandy, the manager stopped at our table. She said she did not recognize us so she just wanted to introduce herself and welcome us. How nice is that! We were just out doing some Sunday exploring so we are not close to this place. If you are a local you already know it is some good food. If you are a visitor, check this place out. I think you will like it. Remember, this is not a fancy restaurant with valet parking. The parking lot is dirt and the place is fun! Check it out!
