1st impressions not good. Trashy and an uncomfortable setting. We rolled up since it was the only rv park closest to the Kings River before heading up towards the mountains. No one was at the office. A sign said to fill out the envelope… but nothing to fill out. No price. No check out time. Nothing displayed. No plastic. Cash only. Exact change(manager had to get change for the neighbor). Once checked in we were happy. Near the standing pond where lots of birds churped and frogs sung. Bathrooms. Full bathrooms available. Standing shower. Toilet. Sink. BRINGYOUROWNTOILETPAPER. oh and also! they close the bathrooms! all afternoon and evening they were closed until I spoke with the manager about keeping them open(since apperantly they didnt have enough keys to lend out)…why close the bathrooms when they don’t even offer toilet paper. Overall people and kids were friendly but place was not worth $ 30/night!

If this is the place I’m thinking of, it used to be called«River of the Kings» mobile home park. White trash galore back in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Meth very abundant. The two showers(1 men, 1 women) had the distinction of a certain tenant taking a dump in the shower and wiping with the plastic shower curtain. Nice… The showers were practically across from the managers little shack. I used to pay my rent in cash but [a] new management wouldn’t take cash for fear of being«robbed». Hmm. Nice place, eh? I was probably only one of a few men there who actually held a steady job in Fresno. Most everybody else would sit outside and drink cheap beer. I had a refrigerator outside and it would be regularly burglarized for my beer & meat. I had to install a padlock on it. My Mexican neighbor, some unemployed, drunk dude with a wife and 6 kids would send one of his young boys over to steal anything that wasn’t nailed down including my fishing gear. When I called him on it, he gave me 7 one dollar bills to not call the sheriff. Later, he threatened to shoot me with a .22 rifle claiming he had a «…box full of 100 dollar bills inside». Weird tenants… One fine evening, some dude got into an argument with his wife because she wouldn’t come home from a bar so he opened up a 5 gallon bottle of propane in the back bedroom, lit a candle in the front kitchen and split. Ka-BOOOM! blew the«singlewide» down to the frame and wheels, killing her dog inside. How it didn’t burn the entire place down, I don’t know. How I slept through it is even more amazing. One manager’s brother had the distinction of being the first person executed in California after reinstatement of the death penalty. Last time Is stopped by was about 2007 and nothing had changed appearance wise. I have lots of other stories about the dump but… I guess it couldn’t have gotten any worse…

They say they are a KOA, management is friendly but the park is a dump. Lots of shade. Stayed here as out was close to the giant sequoia park. Surrounded by a mobile home park. Next to the kings river. Not super bad if you are just spending the nights there.
