I’ll start with the biggest pro: It’s Clean. This seems to be the general consensus in a variety of reviews(and why I picked this location). For $ 60.00 a night, I’m not expecting luxury, but I do expect the room to be clean, and Sanger Inn didn’t disappoint. I was impressed with the overall appearance of the room as well. Despite its modest exterior, the inside was functional and the microwave/refrigerator is a big bonus. The gentleman that checked me in last night(presumably the owner), was very kind and accommodating. He even provided me with a new package of toothpaste, free of charge. Everybody knows that finding anything for free in a motel these days is challenging at best!

Checked in at around 8:00 pm ready to relax from working all day. So I’m laying up in the bed around 10:30 pm watching TV when all the sudden I see a BEDBUG crawling right next to my arm I killed it. When I went the front office to complain they did not seem to concerned so I checked out with a full refund but if I were you stay away from this place unless you want to get eaten alive by bedbugs.

This motel is underrated. It’s a cheap($ 60) motel on the side of I-35 about 10 miles north of Denton. Perfect access right on and off the Interstate. It obviously caters to travelers that just need to get a good night’s sleep. People on other review sites seem to be rating it like they would a destination hotel. It is exactly what it seems to be. A cheap, comfortable, clean place to sleep. It’s actually way better than most hotels of this class(Super 8, etc). We checked in around midnight and they were very nice and helpful. The room was very, very clean. The building is old, but the rooms have obviously been updated. New A/C unit, new toilet, new TV. It was much better than I expected when we pulled up. And the bed was very comfortable. We checked out around 7 the next morning and it fit our needs perfectly, which was a safe, comfortable place to sleep. I will definitely be staying here again!

My family and I booked 4 rooms here while visiting family in the area. It is what it is – if you want a clean room that has been recently enough updated, that is absolutely all you are getting. The windows are single pain, so you hear all of the highway noise, but leaving the HVAC on all night helps block some of the noise. They offer some great deals, such as stay two nights, get one free, but as I only needed a room for two nights, it wasn’t so great but cheap enough. Due to the need to keep the HVAC on all night and my sister liking to sleep in the arctic, I asked the owner at 10pm on Friday night, so not ridiculously late, for an extra blanket and pillow. His response first is to go pull out my reservation, and then tells me that with two people in a two bed room, I don’t need either of those. Uhm, if I thought I had plenty, I don’t think I would be here politely requesting these items, right? He finally conceded and gave me another blanket and a pillow without a case. Ew. I bummed extra pillows with cases(what a concept) off my relative’s room. The wifi was spotty. Not deal breaking, but it took me 15 minutes to check in for my flight. The free breakfast was a joke. It was packaged, artificial pastries that only vaguely resemble food and some sugary cereal that they would sell in candy stores in other countries.(No joke!) Not that you expect much for the price, but really, don’t count on it.
