Today was my first visit and all I can say is it was delicious. I ordered the lamb ribs, they were very flavorful, finger lickin good. Fiancée ordered chicken kabob and she commented it was good. Great place to eat. Owners /hostess was attentive and nice. I’ll be back.

Hands down the best falafel I’ve ever had! The food is incredible and the sit-down service is supreme. However I don’t recommend attempting to call in a to-go lunch order. I just called the restaurant intending to place an order for myself and a few coworkers and was put on hold so that an in-house customer could be helped(which is totally understandable). Unfortunately this led to me being on hold for 12 minutes at which point I hung up. My advice is to either make time to sit down or place your order in person!

Delicous, melt in your mouth beef and chicken kabobs. They make their own hummus and bobaganush. Friendliest service I have experienced in a long time.

I got a chicken pita and thought it was really good. Fresh ingredients, fast and friendly staff. Can’t wait to try more of the menu.

Great local Mediterranean cuisine. Friendly staff, I greatly enjoyed practicing my Armenian with the owners. Just about everything on the menu is freshly made in the kitchen after you order. The service maybe slow at times when there’s a large number of patrons but that’s ok, their food is worth the wait, at least in my opinion. I would recommend their chicken shawarma wrap, warning, it may fall apart on you like mine did. Either way, great food and friendly staff, what more can you ask for?

Amazing Chicken Wrap Plate! Comes with a very generous fresh salad with a citrus dressing. The Chicken wrap is huge with top of the line flavor. Rice Pilaf is fluffy and flavorful. This is a must try place! Great service and great for take out as well.

I love this restaurant. The family is nice and the food is great. Definitely a «hole in the wall» place. You don’t come here for the décor. I’ve eaten in and also taken out. The yalanchis are to die for.

Walked in and were greeted immediately by the owners. Quickly served us our drinks and gave us time to look over the menu. My husband and I both ordered plates and they came with a salad. The salad arrived quickly and was quite large. Fresh tomatoes and cucumbers were on top along with a delicious dressing. Not too tangy! For my first shawarma experience I am so far impressed. Our plates came relatively quickly. I won’t complain about the wait. The pita bread was very soft, my chicken was juicy and tender and my pilaf was cooked well. There are very generous portions for the price. Overall I enjoyed this place. It was clean, up to date, and the food was good. I would recommend to others who enjoy shawarma for sure!

I love coming here. Good fresh kebob and lamb, when available. My go to place whenever I want fresh food.

Sanger Shawarma Express is as good as it gets in Sanger! I always get the beef plate, which is cooked to order so the only downside is that the wait time can be up to 10 minutes. The meat is well seasoned and goes well with the sides that accommodate the plate. Definitely the best place to get fresh, high quality food in Sanger.

Sanger needs more places like this. It’s a nice change of pace from the several pizza/Mexican food places that thrive in this city. Flavorful food and a very kind staff. Pulling for this place to make it.

This place was pretty average. It’s a nice addition for a small town like Sanger. Don’t expect amazing décor or even air conditioning, it’s definitely a hole in the wall, but they have a TV and they were playing the SImpsons, which is a plus in my book. The food was your run of the mill Mediterranean food. I got the beef kabob, which was surprisingly spicy. It was very flavorful, but the heat caught me off guard. The rice pilaf was impressive, but I think my favorite thing was the salad/cole slaw that came with it. As others have said, the hummus is pretty bland and the pita bread is pre-packaged, not made there. Still, it doesn’t change that the majority of my meal was tasty and impressive, a good enough size for leftovers the next day, and somewhere I would go back to, especially if I still lived nearby. Also, the person working there was nice. :) Do take advantage of it if you’re local, and go next door and get some froyo after.

My Husband and I have been here twice for lunch. Don’t be detoured by the appearance of the eatery area. The food is very good. It appears to be an owner operated spot with pretty good food. We liked the hummus and pita bread. Have had the Felafel plate which comes with Hummus, 5 Felafel’s, Tabbouleh salad and pita bread. I like the wraps. The drinks are free refills, bathrooms are clean. Not much else in Sanger that isn’t greasy or burgers. They do pickup and take out too. I would give them a try… we plan to go back. My four is because the tables don’t seem to get wiped down very often and it would be nice to have outdoor tables.

This place is not good at all. The hummus has no flavor, I had the falafel wrap and it was terrible, it was dry and the pita was super cold. I personally don’t recommend this place, the service is super slow, understaffed, and it took them about 35 minutes to make my order. If you want good Mediterranean food I recommend going to Diane’s restaurant in fresno.

Food was amazing!!! Ambiance of restaurant was not. Décor was sloppy. Very hot inside with no A/C. Bathroom was filthy. But I would go back because the food was so good and affordable. I had the chicken shawarma wrap. My kids shared a Chicken kabob plate. Chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Rice was outstanding. Probably the best shawarma wrap I’ve ever had. Their garlic sauce is delicious. Side of hot, pita breads for only 20 cents! A good pit stop on the way to Hume Lake.

So happy that a restaurant that serves something besides Mexican food and burgers has survived this long in Sanger. Love their food… the hummus and felafel balls are delicious! The only problem I have is that every time I go in here(for lunch)…I am the only person in the restaurant. Why aren’t more people eating here? I hope this joint can make it in this town.

Family owned and easy to find restaurant with standard middle eastern food. The food was good and the service was excellent. Expect standard Middle Eastern Food with variations of Chicken, Beef, and Falafel. The chicken was excellent the flavors of the garlic sauce were very good. My only knock was that the beef was a slightly dry at moments and the interior décor could use a little more flavor. Looks like they are opening up a middle eastern bakery next door which looks good. Will visit again.
