ACS Interlock- Orange County’s Premier Interlock Provider

There are many options out there who install ignition interlocks. So glad I chose this company. Great customer service and the device is a straight blow device which is very user friendly. Highly recommend them. s

I really recommend this place. I know there are other places but not all of them have a person on site all the time like corey is there for you to answer any questions. a lot of other places have u bring it to a auto shop and they don’t know much about the device so you have to call a 1800 number every time .this place they give u a persons cell number you can call and they are extremely nice and always have appointments available when needed .fast friendly service …

I found ACS off Unilocal and chose to come in after reading the reviews and the five star rating. I had read about a guy name Corey being so helpful. So i gave them a call and Corey answered! He actually gives his personal cell number in case of emergencys and actually lives and works in the area. You might not think that this revelevent but when your device or system has an issue you dont want to be calling a corp office in ohio thats closed on the weekend and cant help you till monday because its after hours. Many of the companies outsource the installation of these devices to companies that dont specialize in the installation or the industry to mom and pop shops such as mechanics and car audio… this is all corey does… do you want to go to a mechanic or audio store instead? No because I have had more people in my classes complain about how their devices dont work right, they make you humm, suck and blow while driving. This one is so simple… all you do is blow.
I give this review 5 stars for Coreys’s customer service alone :) He was able to fit me in the next day so I could get my liscense back faster and has been so helpful in this process. So if you are looking to install a interlock device on your car you should call ACS and ask for Corey.

I cannot say enough great things about Cory! I have been a customer for 6 months and have remained a customer after moving out of the area. The drive is worth it once every two months, for the piece of mind I get knowing how reliable and efficient this business is. I’ve been locked out once and had to pay the $ 40 fee, but this stuff happens with these things. Cory and his assistant are always more than accommodating, prompt and kind when scheduling my appts… even going above and beyond and helping me with my DMV paperwork/​navigating through the DMV setup. After talking to my classmates in DUI school, I know I have the best. I’ve referred a lot of happy people. You won’t regret going with them.

I lucked out when choosing the company to install the interlock system in my car! Cory is a great businessman, professional, kind and EXTREMELY informative! I knew I was comfortable with the company when I called around not knowing what to expect at all! He was very informative and the best was that he took his time explaining everything very thoroughly to me and I didn’t feel pressured into using ACS. When I had it installed in my vehicle, he was extremely friendly and polite and worked with me best he could on price. I have had the interlock system in my car for four months. When I call the office, the staff is friendly and They relay the message just to him. I have referred three people to them and they all agree that they are in good hands. I recommend ACS interlock and love that a payment option is automatically withdrawn from my account to avoid late fees, penalties or court problems; the cost; and the actual device in my vehicle is user-​friendly (that’s HUGE), clean and not too bulky.

Corey was able to set me up with an appointment within 1 day and installed the device within 30 minutes. He didn’t charge me a dime for installation.
Edit: it’s been a month now and Corey has been extremely understanding and helpful with my whole situation. I’d give 6 stars if I could!

When I had a few issues on how to use the device, Alma the beautiful and intelligent office girl was able to help resolve any problem. I must say that I was very impressed with her way of delivering quality customer service and would also like to ask her to help in my own business as well. Come work for me, Alma!

Found them thru the dmv list given they have the lowest install rates and even have a referral program where you can get credit for each person you send their way. Always friendly even when your not the kindest to them. Good people good price can’t go wrong. Thank you for everything!!!

This place is very unprofessional office is unorganized and the waiting room is unpleasant. I once walked in the office and noticed a dog shoved in a desk drawer, Cory Hickok’s priority seems to be his tablet game rather then his customers, I once made a re calibration appointment and the girl failed to make a note of it, my first unit was faulty resulting in me having to pay up to $ 120.00 dlls/​$ 40 for every unscheduled maintenance, they finally decide to send the unit out to be inspected by technicians at my cost, 90 days later I only get a $ 40 dlls reimbursement. Making business with this place to save a few bucks was totally un worth it the quality of the equipment is cheap and it made my already difficult situation worst.

Got my license re-​instated yesterday! It’s been one hell of a ride getting my license back you guys but with Corey’s help, he got me a restricted license which allowed me to operate my vehicle with an IDD device. This is by far the cheapest and affordable place to get your ignition interlock device. It is a hassle using the IDD for such a long time but I’m glad that I now have my license fully re-​instated. Thank you Corey!

Corey and the staff at acs interlock have been nothing but helpful and positive in dealing with such a sensitive manner as a dui n the installation and upkeep of a interlock device.
They’re flexible with appointment times and always there to take your call or return calls promptly.
They actually get u answers to your questions.
I’ve also found the prices to be competitive or to actually beat the competition’s prices.
If it wasn’t for the good people at acs interlock I still wouldn’t be driving nor would the handful of people that I’ve personally recommended to this shop.

It’s obvious that the other reviews on here are fakes if you notice they are from people with 0 friends and only 1 review, so don’t be fooled! Dealing with this business brought out an ugly side of me that I never knew existed. I shopped around for interlocks, and this place had the lowest monthly rate with no charge for calibration, which sounds like a great deal at first. There is a $ 40 fee for rolling re-​test refusals, and this is how they make their big bucks.
They originally gave me faulty equipment that had temperature issues. I was locked out of my vehicle before I could get to work, and they gave me a code telling me I had to drive straight there for them to switch the device out, making me two hours late for work. What if it was court, and not just work that I would have been late to? I would have had a bench warrant issue for failure to appear due to faulty interlock. The problems did not end with the replacement device.
I drive with one eye on the road and one eye on the interlock to make sure I blow within the 3 minute window when prompted. My music or conversations in the car are never too loud so that I would not hear the ear piercing retest prompt. Well, these interlocks are rigged to give retest refusals, and I would get retest refusals at least once a month. I had my suspicions from the beginning when I would get retest refusals, and those suspicions were confirmed when the last retest refusal time was stated as a time I was not even driving the vehicle. By the way, the state does not require a device to have a lockout system, my new company has no such thing as «lock outs», so what ACS is doing is super shady.
Additionally, they only give you 5 days to reset the lockout. This supposed lockout happened on a Thursday night, so that counts as one day, Friday no one returns my phone call or answers the phone until noon, and of course they are closed weekends. I am forced to take a two hour break from work on Monday to drive up there and have the problem corrected at their convenience. And the secretary there is completely rude and unprofessional, she always has her son there watching annoying cartoons on an ipad, and she has such a snappy know it all attitude. Like when I try to make an appointment that’s at least around my lunch hour, she goes «nope, can’t do that, you have to come at this time», or the classic «you signed the paperwork!» She even snapped at me once when I showed up early to a calibration appointment saying «because you came early, I don’t get to take a lunch!»
I decided I was over paying for their bogus lockouts, and made an appointment with a new company that doesn’t charge for lockouts. I would rather pay $ 20 for a scheduled calibration than have a major inconvenient «surprise» drive to Santa Ana and pay $ 40 to this guy. He begged me not to switch companies and even offered to wave my lockout fee this time if I stuck with him but I was so over it by this point, nothing but a rip off.
Also, when I had the device uninstalled, he still charged me for the illegitimate lockout on top of the $ 80 uninstallation fee! And of course Alma the front desk lady just said «you signed the paperwork!» Such a scam! These people know that DUI offenders are forced by DMV to have an interlock, so they think they can just treat people however they want to because they have the upper hand. I’ve spent a total of $ 250 just to switch interlock companies so that I won’t have to deal with the stress of unexpectedly missing work, paying for their bunk retest refusals, and sitting in their dirty, disgusting lobby while they reset their rigged retest refusal equipment. Very unhappy, please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!
