If you are driving the entrance is on second St and olive st. Lots of parking available. Otherwise this is perhaps one the best high functioning non-profit organizations in OC. All money made is given back to the Santa Ana Unified School kids. The children that are refereed by school teacher or school site office manager. Receive free back-pack with uniform or Eye exam or with free eye glasses and free dental care. It is ABSOLUTELYOUTSTANDING what these group of volunteers give back to the kids of Santa Ana. For me I’ve been coming in for the last 25 years. I love how clean items/clothing or shoes the entire store SMELLSCLEAN. I can not even express how much I love this store. I have found amazing items from around the world to rare books. To trinkets to fun custom jewelry. The sad thing is they do get robbed. If item is missing tag they will not give you a price and no sale. So that can be annoying. Ones a month they have a SALE! Tax free and trust me sometimes items have original retail price tags. BRANDNEW! Whom ever donates has a privileged life and travels around the world. I love the jean rack! They also offer Jean sales for kids or teens or the extra super size big girl. Items vary month to month. The volunteers move around a lot the furniture and product. ALSA also helps welfare recipients that have to do working hours to learn working skills. I’ve also seen young high school kids volunteer. Those kids can apply for grants too that the ALSA offers. To me it is a treasure hunt when I go in. They also offer furniture and other appliances. If your moving and you need to donate items they do have a big truck out side to pick up items. All volunteers are friendly and kind. I feel lucky to have a great organization near by that makes me look good and makes me feel good. This is truly a place wear your money will go back to the children of SAUSD. Take a visit and just check it out! Especially if your on a budget and want to look good. Drawbacks; Hours can vary depending on volunteers available. *Cash accepted *checks accepted *plastic cards *Paypal is accepted The holidays are a lot of fun to visit. They do work closely with SAUSD and including the directors and principals. To assure all needed child is taken care of. I think I have made my point how much I love this store and the volunteers especially Jaime and Lisa! It is a win win situation!

I use to come here as a little girl, it was the only store where my mom would actually buy me something. The last time I stepped into this store was over 25 years ago… until today. Over the years I have had dreams about this place… the wood on the outside, the intricate windows… but I had forgotten where exactly they were from. And today it was deja vu. As soon as I stepped foot in the store I realized how much it hasnt changed, Still run by old white ladies. Not too much merchandise, and clean. My boyfriend found a pair of pants for $ 3, but I didnt find anything. I am shocked that this little place has survived. And I did participate in their dental program as a child… in fact they gave me my first dental appointment. I left the city of Santa Ana in 1993 and never moved back. But today I was nostalgic and drove by my old neighborhood… and thus wound up at this cute thrift shop from my childhood.

Grandma runs a tight ship. This place is clean, meticulous and the merchandise is spaced evenly enough that shopping and browsing is a breeze. Yolanda J’s haul is pretty sweet. I saw a display case of similar studs & small button sized round earrings in the main room; $ 2. It’s not enough to make me want to frequent here often though. :( The main reason for the generous three stars is the staff and the speed. Finding out the price on a non-tagged purse proved quite the feat. The older woman who was in charge of the room to the right had to find someone else and then a gal in her 20s came to help… in which she asked if she was«pricer.» This blew my mind because it then involved yet ANOTHER older woman and then it was settled at $ 8. The hierarchy and estrogen spillith over in their antique drinkware. No thanks.

Clean, small, well maintained shop, with limited inventory. I don’t usually find much vintage here(and what is labeled as vintage is pricey), but its fun to look through the books, games and miscellaneous items. I also love that they have rather nice dressing rooms!

Neat little place to check out. My friend and I go once a week to see what little goodies they may have. Not every trip produces great finds but there is never a trip that does not surprise me when I see what some people will donate. The ladies are very nice and helpful.

A good thrift that has a fair amount of clothes but serious slim pickin’s on the housewares and furniture. They do have a little side boutique and the prices are a bit higher, but they do put only the good stuff in there. The rest of the store is ho-hum. What really gives this the extra star is this shop is super freaking clean! They work so hard to organize everything and it pays off.

So you can’t get into their parking lot on 1st street, you get to it from 2nd street. I didn’t know this so I parked at the corner market. The ladies volunteering there are very nice and helpful, but I was surprised at how slim the pickings were. Very neat and organized with a section for upper end stuff. Housewares and furniture was barely there.

This is a large store with a friendly all volunteer staff. Because it’s a non-profit, there is NOSALESTAX! Now open later and Monday thru Sat. Inventory moves very quickly here — so it’s a good idea to come back often. Sales start 3rd week in the month and major ½ off sales are infrequent and unannounced but fantastic to hit one. The Top Drawer section features better through designer clothing — all considerably lower priced than other thrift shops. Regular thrift side also has furniture and popular priced clothing. Both sides also sell housewares, linens, and fashion accessories. There is no consignment(contrary to other reports.) Everything sold is supposed to be «clean &/or gently worn.» Donations greatly accepted. The inventory changes daily based on donations. Good shopping with something for everyone. Especially good selection of holiday stuff. Free Parking at 1037 West 2nd Street lot. Proceeds provide Santa Ana Public SchoolChildren with school uniforms, dental care, eye glasses, and college scholarships.
