Big K’s Burgers Drive-In

As a kid we used to go to this place, they used to have the best burgers it was always a special treat to eat there, fast forward to today. I was in the area and decided to give them a try and what a total decline in quality. I had a double bacon burger, bacon is supposed to make everyhing taste good, don’t believe it! bacon couldn’t save this dry, tasteless thing mascarading as a burger. The thing lacked flavor, no ingredient in the burger made a difference. What a shame another places that focuses in quantity rather than quality.

The cheeseburger and fries where good overall. The sauce was a tad-​bit sweet but I got used to the flavor after a few bites. The buns where toasty which made the burger a lot better; would try again.

A classic hole in the wall burger joint, both their mushroom burger and their bacon burger are fantastic and worth trying. Their burgers are just a little bit greasy and the fries are a little salty, but isn’t that the staple of a classic burger joint? I would definitely recommend this place if you feel like cheating a very strict diet. if you don’t feel like a burger, they also have tacos and burritos too. I can’t comment on them because I haven’t tried them myself. I’ve been coming to this place since I was in high school, and it’s well worth coming back every time.

I like coming here for the old school style charbroiled cheeseburger with avocado and bacon!

My roommate loves the burgers and zucchinis from this place. Almost every single time I go to the taqueria that’s across the street she somehow manages to pull me here. I’ve only tried maybe a handful of zucchinis and they are surprisingly good, never too greasy and always the right amount of salt. Going thru the drive thru is a nightmare. First off their speaker where you would usually order doesn’t work so you have to pull up to the window, now if there’s a car already at the window don’t worry, a nice little lady comes out from behind the restaurant with her little notepad ready to take your order.
The place looks pretty beat up but idk what they put in their burgers that has my roomie coming back for more

I give it a four stars because its my first time. And as my first time i was surprised that there burgers and fries are good; even tho the place is small. I hope there other meals are as good as there burgers.

I love this place, I been going here since I can remember. The burgers are great. My fav is the hot wing dinner (: they have a good selections and a great family deal.

Out of all of the restaurants in the area that are similar in style, i might prefer the burgers here. meat seasoned nicely, fries salted, and everything came out piping hot. Double cheeseburger did the job. Good thousand island type sauce.

but my friend also got a chicken burger with a pineapple on it the
chicken tasted awful they from all friends nobody wanted to eat it
not even the dogs probley wont come here again

I am so disappointed in this burger joint. They provide a take-​out menu with the wrong prices on it. Also, the menu says you get a choice of fries, onion rings or zucchini and then charge an extra dollar. In addition, refills used to be free and now they charge fifty cents. Lastly, they used to give you a full sandwich bag of onion rings and now you are lucky to get one-​forth of that amount. Bottom line… They have gotten cheap with the amount of food for a more expensive on the price by nickel and diming you to death!!!

I work right down the street from this place. I’ve only had one thing and Ive been coming back for almost 3 years now lol. Im obsessed with their Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger and fries. Fresh ingredients and crispy bacon, it all comes together in your mouth. Crispy golden fries, what more can you ask for for 5.99. its funny that Ive been coming back for this one particular item. Service is fast and they are very friendly here.

I rate this a 5 because my Ivan loves this place and says it’s the best and so on and so on i think it’s ok but I don’t really like burgers so don’t take my word for it.

This place is yummy. I had FAT fries and didn’t have to pay much. I live in LA, but grew up in Santa Ana. I stop by before coming home. The burgers are good and the services is fast.

I work just down the street from the place so I come here when I need my grease fix. Having said that, you kind of have to go here with a pragmatic mindset – It’s a local fast food joint and it’s really, really cheap so don’t expect too much.
This is where I go when I get the urge to coat my stomach lining with chilli cheese fry grease. MMM. They also have really cheap all-​day breakfast. Be careful because they overcooked my eggs once, which those of you who savor the gooey deliciousness of egg yolks will understand is a mortal sin. I forgave them, however, since I didn’t have that much of an appetite that day and they’ve cooked my eggs perfectly before. Besides, at $ 4.99 for three eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast, it’s hard to be picky!

The only reason I came here was I missed the entrance to go into another Mexican place and was way to lazy to bust a U. So I pull to the drive thru where I waited 10 mins since you order from the same window where you pick up… OK so I’m thinking geesh this has to be fresh since it made to order. Well it is made to order, somewhat, I ordered the Big K special… thinking that would be their best offering since its freakin named after the place and it has «special» in it right. BLAH. it was a plain old cheeseburger with watered down thousand island dressing and a few sprinkles of lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. It was OK… but I think I had better burgers made using a flat skillet at home. Sorry. The fries were nothing special. Perfectly cooked and seasoned tho. I have a feeling I just ordered the wrong thing. But I doubt I will ever try this place again since there are so many other burger joints here in Santa Ana.

the food was kinda boring. got a cheeseburger and the hot wing dinner. the wings tasted old, like they were in the freezer for a while or something. the ranch was watery and had very little flavor. the cheeseburger was ok, i’d say the best part was the toasted bun. i’d say the best part of my whole experience there was the orange bang.
the service was nice. the girl at the counter brought my food to me when it was ready.
why i even chose to come to a place like this in the first place i really don’t know. maybe i was fiending chicken wings and this was the closest place that had them. i guess if you’re in the mood for this kind of food it’s ok, but i don’t see that being a common thing.

Okay now I gotta admit that I’m Unilocaling this place partially because I have been going to this place since I needed a high chair, literally. Yeah it’s been that long.
Alright so it’s the hot wings plate. It is about I would say 8 – 10 hot wings with a little side salad and fries with a drink. Oh and bread with butter too. They are this perfectly cooked spicy hot plate of amazingness! For all I know this sauce thats drenched on the hot wings could be from like Costco family sized sauce. But screw it, it is incredibly delicious. It’s not thick like Hooters wings, not breaded theyre «naked» as Hooters calls it I guess. Not too big either but the amount they put in the plate more than makes up that part. The little side salad is nothing big either but combined with the steaming hot and caliente sauce it just works. Let me tell you these hot wings are so good and smell amazing that I have to open the to-​go box on my way home… it seeps into your car I can’t help myself!
Also, if like my husband you are a «i eat the sides before I eat the main protein» type of person then you will enjoy the fries. The hot wings overlap on the the fries and the sauce drips on the fries so you don’t even need to add ketchup. They’re the good soggy fries drenched in the hot wing sauce and it tastes fantastic. I don’t even live in the neighborhood anymore but I make the trip down to Bristol and First. go to the drive-​thru and order up the Hot Wings Plate Dinner with a large Orange Bang drink.
The burgers are great, they always are better at these charbroiler places. The breakfast is so filling too. It’s been around for a long time and their is a good reason why. So go, now!

For me the House special is great. The Bacon, avacado and cheese burger with a side of onion rings and drink. Even though it sounds common they make it just right.

Cheap prices, lots of food, freshly made which makes the waiting longer… Dont bother with the drive-in.Try the steak breakfast burrito you can actually hear your arteries clogging
