Alright… Food is fresh & good and the service is great! Last time I came about a year ago, I thought the lunch special was a good deal, but now it seems not worth it. It starts at 2pm now, which is not considered lunch, and the food seems over priced. They no longer serve hummus with the plate. Little upset but it’s still good food.

Always bomb. Haven’t been in the area in months and taking my first bite, nothing’s changed. it’s still as flavorful as ever. thankfully as i walked into the door I noticed that I can cut the line to pick up a to-go order and was in and out in under 5 minutes. Saw familiar faces working there still so props to them for being there so long. I swear my dedication to them always

Stop using cheap carry out containers! Your food is good but you ruined my day with cheap foam containers that All cracked spilling sauce and staining the office.

Spicy Lemon Garlic Chicken: Exactly as described in other reviews — incredibly tender, melts right off the bone and in your mouth. The sauce on it literally bursts with flavor and doesn’t seem too spicy at first but it builds over time and ends up having quite a kick at the end — not a problem because it is easily quenched by the delicious garlic sauce. 5⁄5 Spicy Sweet Coleslaw: I don’t even know what possessed me to order this bc I usually *hate* coleslaw but I sure am glad I did! It is spicy. It is sweet. It has sesame seeds. It’s a mix of shredded carrot and green and purple cabbage that somehow defies logic and doesn’t have a trace of bitterness. It also seems quite on the healthy side because it’s neither oily nor overly doused in the sweet sauce. Quite tasty and I’ve never eaten anything like it. 5⁄5. Baked Potato: Came PIPING hot wrapped in aluminum foil and with a sour cream cup and pat of butter. It was good, not overcooked and a nice big potato too — it was the perfect starch to make sure none of the spicy lemon garlic sauce went to waste. However, the potato itself had no seasoning on the skin and wasn’t that slow cooked in an oven type of thick skin that i prefer on a baked potato. Still — it was just a side i wasn’t expecting much more. 4⁄5 Falafel Wrap: Average. Falafel just wasn’t as flavorful as the places I’m accustomed to in Chicago. The beet inside was also mealy and I didn’t prefer the flavor it added. also the flavor overall of the wrap was not anything spectacular. 3⁄5 Garlic Sauce: I don’t know how they make this stuff but they should keep that recipe under lock and key. It is also not so potent that you feel like your mouth is garlic-laden for three days afterwards! 5⁄5 I ordered this for delivery through doordash. Much healthier than my typical Sunday night Indian food splurge so I do certainly think I will be trying it again :)

Lunch — 11:30 a. m — no line, take out Food — ¼ chicken(dark with spicy lemon — small portion tiny thigh/leg & little wing), rice(raisins give the sweetness) & potato salad(very neutral — used the garlic sauce to dress it & it was very good) Comes with pita bread & garlic sauce(.50 extra) Service — fast, they can use a little smile once in a while? Come on, lunch rush hasn’t started — show a little smile and kindness to your customers?! I don’t know but ladies at the register are the first representatives of this place before you get the food. My impression — not so welcoming, order it, pay for it & leave already attitude. Maybe not her day?(Had money on the Panthers?) Yes, I get that it is cleaner more healthier option for lunch in the area. It was okay overall but I wouldn’t come back to wait in line to get the food.

Chicken Maison has the Mediterranean style chicken on lock down. Looking for a healthy lunch? Of course you are, it is after the holidays and poolside season starts in 4 months. With that in mind do what Kelley U. told me to do and check out Chicken Maison located on the edge of Costa Mesa/Santa Ana. You know, the part of town people from Santa Ana like to pretend is Costa Mesa so you think their land value is higher and the area people from Irvine refuse to venture to, always being sure to turn no later than Sunflower. Anyway — The interior of the restaurant is neat, the fast casual service is friendly and the cuisine is dirt cheap. In my case $ 9.99 for a ½ Chicken, Salad, Rice, and a pair of Pita halves. Even a drink! Cannot beat that, right? Order a second serving of Garlic Paste, more on that later. Within 5 minutes your plate will arrive and the fun begins. Maison employs a rôtisserie to get their brand of Chicken to sport a skin that is just-so. The breast meat was a tad dry but the leg and wing meat is possibly the moistest white meat I have ever had. The juiciness had me looking like Colonel Sanders with my digits in my mouth and a maniac’s smile on my face. There was nothing wrong with the Salad or Rice but that Chicken really owned my plate and here is the crazy part: The Chicken isn’t even close to the best part of the meal. You really need to try Chicken Maison’s Garlic Paste. Zankou’s is so powerful it can double as smelling salts and will have people avoiding you for 3 hours. Chicken Maison’s is a kinder, gentler kind of paste. You can almost spoon it up and eat it like mashed potatoes and it is as addicting as black tar heroin in an alley on Skid Row. Seriously, I was using it on the Chicken, Pita and anything else that was within 2 feet of my fork. This is easily the best condiment in Orange County and yet another reason The Halal Guys can go to hell. My return is imminent thanks to Quoc H.‘s imploring that I try the Lemon Garlic Chicken along with the Kebabs and Gyros I spied while noshing that delightful Chicken and Garlic Paste. This was a great lunch find and I owe it all to Kelley U. for the suggestion.

Average chicken is average. I wanted to love this place like some of these glowing reviews but I left wondering if I ate the same thing everyone else are. Sadly I was disappointed. I love chicken and I love Mediterranean food. I stopped by Chicken Maison on a Tuesday night around 8:00pm. This location closes at 9:00pm. When I stepped in, the first thing I noticed was the over-powerful smell of bleached. Needless to say I later found out they were cleaning the kitchen already. The smell was terrible. Before coming in I saw the special for $ 5.95 consisting of a ¼ chicken and rice and salad. I told the cashier that I wanted to order two orders of the $ 5.95 special on the window. She proceeded to ask what flavor chicken I would like and what two sides I would like. She tells me the total is $ 18. I asked her why there is nearly a $ 6 difference. She told me I cannot add sides or change the flavor on the $ 5.95 special. What gets me is that she was the one that asked me what flavor I would like and what two sides I’d like. To save confusion I asked her to switch both orders to whatever the window one comes with. Pretty easy right? I paid and looked at my receipt. She only changed one order and when brought to her attention she claims I only wanted one order changed. Fail! Anyways, the sides I didn’t want to start off with were not that great. Maybe I just got food that’s been sitting all day. The potato salad was uneventful and the hummus tasted no better than a Sabra Hummus with some stale pita bread. On the plus side though… the chicken wasn’t dry. It was flavorful but was quite small even though it was a ¼ chicken. It almost looked like I was eating malnourished poultry. The garlic sauce is cool but it reminded me more of ranch with a hint of garlic sauce. It’s not the consistency of Zankou. I literally thought they gave me ranch for the longest time. Between getting overcharged, dying of inhaling bleach and other chemicals and malnourished chickens I don’t think I’m going to be hanging out with Chicken Maison any longer. #byefelicia

I decided to come here for dinner for my post-workout meal. Typically, I go to either the Redondo Beach or the Gardena location since I’m from Torrance. Since I was in the area, I decided to go to the Santa Ana location :) First of all, I absolutely love the Chicken Maison. Their chicken is so fresh and moist! Absolute perfection. I really enjoy the spicy-lemon chicken because the chicken has a lot of juicy flavor and definitely excites my taste buds. Ironically, I had Mediterranean food earlier today at Halal Guys(which is down the street) and I was sorta unimpressed. I figured I would get Chicken Maison to redeem myself. And I was right! I ordered the ½ spicy lemon chicken with spicy hummus and sweet spicy coleslaw. Last time, I ordered the baked potato as one of the side options but I think picking the sweet spicy coleslaw was a better option. Very good decision, indeed. I give it a 4 stars instead of 5 compared to the other locations because they actually forgot to give me the sour cream sauce, which came with the order. It was fine with me because I didn’t really need it lol. At first I thought it was the garlic sauce that was missing and I kinda got annoyed but I realized my mistake haha. Also, I was surprised the ungenerous scoop of spicy hummus that they gave me. At the Gardena location, they were soooo generous and offered me hella! I remembered that I did not finish the extra hummus at all. Here, it was an average amount and I was sorta let down. All good. Still will be back! Very good option for a post-workout meal and if you wanna eat healthy :)

I love this chicken place! The chicken, as many have said, are super flavorful! So I wont spend too much time on this portion. Perfect little spicy kick. The sides: Spicy hummus is awesome. I love eating it with the rice or pita bread. It’s not just a smoked spice too, so I love it even more. The rice. So fluffy and lightly seasoned(or it seems) or it just got a nice little flavor to it. Goes perfectly with your chicken. Potato salad… not a fan. Nothing bad about it but it just didn’t go so well with my plate for some reason. Steak kabob. I don’t normally order steak kabob at places because I worry that the meat would be too chewy or dinky pieces that wont fill me up. This place asks you how you’d like your steak prepared. Ask for medium rare-closer to rare for a nice juicy tender kabob. Not too bad actually. However, the star of this place is def the spicy lemon garlic chicken. You cannot go wrong with it.

I’ve been here on 3 separate occasions before and also had it catered to my workplace for lunch. This time, I went with my co-worker here during lunch on Friday and we made it on time. We called ahead and ordered and they finished our order within 10 minutes. We had no problems with the workers. They were nice and efficient. The line was super crazy after we left so we came at a good time and beat the rush! My advice is to probably come before 12:15PM. I distinctly remembered they had a special for $ 5 but now they changed the rules and it is only available after 2PM. I ordered the Chicken Maison original ¼ chicken with the 2 sides being potato salad and the regular salad for $ 7.95 plus tax. The pita bread was good and so was the garlic sauce. However, I remembered the sauce being a stronger taste and this time I wasn’t able to taste it too well. I finished everything and it was pretty good. I was content, knowing it was pretty healthy for me. I recommend getting the spicy lemon garlic seasoning though! It’s $ 1 more. I’ve tried the gyro here and the kabobs from the catering at my work and I was really surprised the gyro wasn’t dry(from all that travel time and wait time). Who knew rotisserie chicken could taste good? Normally I’d get the one from Costco and would be bored of it within a day. The parking lot is pretty small but you can park in the Target lot if you can’t find any space!

No frills Mediterranean fast food restaurant highlighted by its signature rotisserie chicken — some of the juiciest, tastiest chicken I have tried. Even better, their two zesty marinade options — Spicy-Lemon Garlic and Lemon Basil — are smothered over the chicken and really amps the flavor to another level still. Moreover, they use only hormone free, naturally fed chicken and no additives are added. All rotisserie chicken combinations come with two sides, pita bread and an amazing, creamy garlic dipping sauce. ¼ Chicken Original, $ 7.95 Spicy-Lemon Garlic, $ 8.95 Lemon Basil, $ 8.95 ½ Chicken Original, $ 9.95 Spicy-Lemon Garlic, $ 10.95 Lemon Basil, $ 10.95 Whole Chicken Original, $ 17.95 Spicy-Lemon Garlic, $ 19.95 Lemon basil, $ 19.95 Grilled kabob combinations, falafel, chicken sandwiches, gyros, pastas, soups, salads — plus veggie options like tabouleh, hummus, potato salad and Greek salad — round out the rest of their menu. There may be many good choices for Mediterranean style rotisserie chicken in Santa Ana and neighboring Anaheim and Fountain Valley. In my opinion, however, none are in the class of Chicken Maison — easily some of the moistest, tender and flavorful chicken in Orange County! CLOSEDSUNDAYS

To me, it was just ok. Per everybody’s suggestions, I got the spicy lemon garlic chicken with 2 sides. The Greek coleslaw and the steamed vegetables were my choice. It came with a pita bread and yogurt dip. Well, the chicken was full of flavor but kind of mushy. It seemed overcooked. The veggies were fresh and the coleslaw was tasty. And the pita bread was cold. It would have been nice if they had warmed the pita. Surprisingly for a non vegetarian, I enjoyed the veggies the most. I probably won’t return. At $ 9.18 for my meal(without a drink), I can get better value elsewhere. I didn’t hate it, I just wasn’t impressed.

Unilocalers you really steered me wrong. At least I can remove a bookmark, although I usually like to remove bookmarks because I went and enjoyed. The only good thing I can write or say is that we returned the unappealing, unappetizing, cold to lukewarm food, received our money back and left. Staff was unhelpful and not very friendly. Management didn’t care at all that we were so unhappy with food. The cooks can’t cook. Garlic Fries: lukewarm at best with no garlic smell, and sad and limp looking. Hummus & Pita: a large blob of unappealing hummus, no olive oil with huge, cut in half hunks of completely cold pita bread, no warming, no grilling. Greek Salad with gyro meat: for the price, surprisingly smaller portion, mostly lettuce. None of the salad fixings looked very fresh, the gyro meat was a small portion, again lukewarm to cold at best and looked like it was trying to become gyro jerky. Obviously this was a disaster for me and hubby and I will not be returning.

I… can’t believe I haven’t reviewed Chicken Maison yet. Truly one of my favorite spots out in orange county. The spicy lemon garlic is delicious and because I love to live dangerously it I pair it up with some olive oil from the little condiment bar they have going on. Pair that with the garlic sauce and the lemon-garlic on the chicken, and marry it with the plain-jane pita bread… oooh wheee, it’s beautiful. I will miss it but until I return, Chicken Maison, keep doing what you do best!
