I’ve been going to this store for the last 4 years. Much has changed since when I first started going. In the beginning they priced their items reasonably, they also used to cut their regular shoppers a break on price if you came back enough. Since then they’ve been constantly raising their prices, they treat their regular shoppers with contempt. They no longer give breaks on prices. They resort to kicking out their customers up to 15 minutes before the stores listed hours. This is mostly on the other side of the store, not the computer side. In general, it would appear that this store is greedy. Even on Black Friday/Christmas they previously were good with coupons. This year a measly 5 off 25 coupon. They also no longer give back $ with returns, only store credit. If you return a broken item to them, they put it back out on the floor so some other sucker will buy it. I sincerely question whether they verify whether their items work the way they are supposed to. In some cases, they price their items higher then what you can get it at retail stores. Its also near impossible to get anything worthwhile because there are about 4 or 5 people who man the back of the store waiting for the employees to bring out new items. There has been several fights at this store due to several people wanting the same item. Its not what it used to be. To be fair, this has been happening to a lesser degree at other thrift stores, but Goodwill is the King, followed closely by Salvation Army. But that’s a story for another time.

Staff is nice and helful. Variety of stuffs with real low price. The bad thing is that they no longer allow their staffs to hold the items for customers any more, so now i need to bring all the items with me without a cart. I feel uncomfortable somehow.

If you’re looking for vintage speaker and receivers don’t waste your time. Whoever is pricing the stuff right now is probably high on LSD. 100 bucks for lousy Fisher house speakers?! 60 bucks for a single Klipsch 1.2 that looks like someone hit it with a bat?! I actually laughed out loud. This explains what has gone wrong with Goodwill-they aren’t. Good deal anymore. Go to Salvation Army or an independent thrift.

in 1999 I was excited to find out about this place, It quickly became my store for computers. one day I was there and they had a 17″ Monitor(expensive in that era) and I wanted check with my wife if we could afford it… long story short, found out she was cheatin, split up, and never went back for over 10 years. I wish that I had though because this is my personal mecca. It has all of the things that I need and want when I think computer playground! In addition to working computers, TV’s, vcr’s and the like. You can find a constantly evolving collection of parts, gadgets, as is items and accessories that will be hours of fun and exploring for a weekend hobbyist or a budget minded repair guy like me. The prices are always below what you may find at any other local shops and they have a friendly staff that always will assist you if you need anything in particular and you can’t find it. I believe this store is hands down, the best, most versatile, and lease expensive place to buy home electronics, computers, parts, monitors, speakers, dvd and blueray players, dvd recorders and vhs players, video games, cameras, cell phones etc… If you don’t mind buying used items that work just as good as new but may have a few nicks and scrapes to them. RUN don’t walk down to this place and check them out. they are always adding new items so you never know what you might find that makes your day! Just don’t be greedy. and speaking of greedy… About the only negative thing I can say about this place is really about the customers and not the shop or workers. There are a few people that make it almost impossible to get a TV from here at a great price. They stand next to the door that things get brought out of during the day, waiting, milling round the area, sometimes as many as 6 of them. I call them chicken hawks because like the chicken hawk, they are ready to pounce on any prey that they can find. I’ve seen them grabbing the merchandise right off the cart it’s being brought out on before it even passes the threshold into the showroom. I know they are grabbing them to sell them and profit which is not uncommon, I do the same for the laptops, but I don’t stand around waiting for them or make it my job to stand there and prevent other people from having an opportunity to enjoy the pricing that this location offers for good electronics. I think it is a glutinous and slothful strategy and I wish the store would implement some way, a quota system or the like to prevent these people from in many ways becoming a intimidating factor to other customers that don’t frequent that store to stand around.
