He had been my dentist for many, many years. He will be missed. R.I.P.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr. Gould and his entire office. My family has visited him for over ten years and we dread his impending retirement. I’ve had braces, a root canal, numerous fillings and my wisdom teeth extracted and he made it all as pleasant as possible. He’s relaxed, funny and good at distracting you from the drill in your mouth. His crowns last 30+ years! All of the dental hygienists excellent, as well. The best part of this office is the attention you receive. Every procedure is explained thoroughly and they always let you know why they’re leaving the room and when they’ll be back. When I was a child, I used to ask tons of questions about everything and Dr. Gould seemed to enjoy answering them all.(Later, he admitted he was trying to convince me to study dentistry) Many dental offices are merely concerned with making money, but Dr. Gould really cares about his patients. He even calls them after every major procedure to check how they are healing.

Five stars for a dentist? Yep. Maybe it is the former welfare kid in me, but I always feel as though going to the dentist is a treat. I’d been skipping out on having my teeth cleaned for almost THREEYEARS. How disgusting is that? I couldn’t take it anymore, so I asked my aunt who she sees and she referred me to Dennis Gould. I was nervous to go because I have a permanent retainer to keep my bottom teeth from moving back into their previous white trash placement and let’s just say it was not very clean around there. At all. My hygienist was very kind and patient even though she had to spend A LOT of time scraping the filth from my grimy little teeth. After the hygienist was finished with me, I moved into another room and met Dennis the Dentist. He was SUPER nice and made it apparent he genuinely cares about his patients. He recommended sensitive toothpaste for me and recommended I start using an electrical toothbrush(apparently they suggest this to everyone). I was given some floss and some threaders for the pesky permanent retainer. Then Dennis the Dentist walked me to the counter and sent me on my way! It was only 122 bucks without insurance and with the electrical toothbrush, which was 20 bucks. Happy I found a new dentist to go to regularly, so my teeth will stay shiny and clean!
