Karen’s Detail Custom Frames

Karen was friendly and understanding to what I wanted. She worked with my budget and sense of urgency to have them framed. Everything came out great and it was a great experience. I recommend her to others.

I found Karen on Unilocal last fall and I can honestly say, all of the complements are spot on. I brought Karen a canvas print of a photo I had taken on a trip to the Galapagos. I planned to make it the focal point of a series of smaller photos I had taken which were already framed. Using this information Karen helped me find the perfect frame to showcase the canvas yet married well with the existing frames. The finished piece is almost lifelike. The photos are arranged on my office wall where passersby drop in because the it caught their eye.
I recently returned to Karen’s with a couple of prints I purchased on a recent trip. They were from the same artist and of slightly different sizes. I told her I wanted to frame them in a single frame to cover an electrical panel on another wall in my office. We played with various frames (she has an enormous selection) and matting colors. Once we arrived at a decision Karen made recommendations on how best to frame them. Her attention to detail is impeccable. She suggested switching the two prints pointing out the eye is naturally drawn in the same direction, something I hadn’t noticed but was obvious once she pointed it out. Karen will spend as much time as is needed to ensure the customer is happy. I picked it up yesterday and it is stunning. And it was finished early than quoted.
Next I will be bringing a signed hockey jersey for her to frame. She does it all and does it exceptionally well.

Karen is fantastic. She helped me with a wall collage of family photos I wanted to put together. I came to her with the photos, and she spent a couple hours with me laying them out and choosing the frames. I am so happy with the final product! The frames are great — some simple and some more ornate — but all keeping with a dark color. She drew the layout and made a copy so I was able to use that to help with placement. Karen suggested outlining each frame on kraft paper and putting the paper up first to determine exact spacing. So that’s what I did and it made hanging so much easier! Karen is very thoughtful. I had new diplomas that I needed to replace with the old ones… instead of creating new frames, she very economically and beautifully used my old frames for my new diplomas… and saved me a ton of $$$$.
Also, she is very reasonable in terms of rates and you will be pressed to find someone who will do better work.

Karen is very professional, helpful, and courteous.
She can take care of practically any kind of framing need here as she has a wide selection to choose from for any kind of custom work. She is great at helping pick out frames as well and is very patient with you and willing to offer suggestions.
Her prices are very reasonable for custom work and she has very quick turn around time. Do not waste your time or money elsewhere. She will not let you down.
And it doesn’t matter if you are framing one piece, or a hundred… she will treat you like a great customer regardless.

I was looking to get a frame for an item in which was not of great importance so, in this case, I did want to spend an arm and a leg. Karen had some nice quality pre-​made frames that were perfect. She then mounted the image for me for a very reasonable additional fee.

Just picked up our framed mirror for the bathroom. We love it! Sorry about the delay in picking it up, thank you for storing it for us and being patient. It’s a perfect fit. We will definitely be coming back to frame our maternity photographs.

Karen is the best quality AND the best price! I had a few paintings I bought in Europe a few years ago and had been avoiding custom framing because of the high cost. Where do I begin? I went to Karen’s store to help design a gift for my wife’s birthday (only a month after we were married). She was exceptionally kind and her artistic creativity is remarkable. My wife had instant tears in her eyes when she saw the gift (a special framing of the boat tickets we took to Catalina Island where I proposed to her as well as the bottle of champagne we had to celebrate the evening). My wife said that she wants this to be a tradition and I will definitely be back in the near future. I cannot emphasize enough how accommodating and genuinely kind Karen was throughout the process. Amazing Service and Quality Workmanship!!! Karen is wonderful, I needed to have an autographed movie poster framed for a birthday gift. I got the poster on Thursday afternoon and needed by that Sunday. I met Karen at her shop Friday morning at 11:30 and she had it finished by 4:30 the same day. She was very accommodating and even though it was last min had so many options in-​store for me to choose from. She offered me the UV protected glass so the signatures and poster would not fade. She did not charge me extra for getting it done so quick. I really liked that everything is done there at her location, it does not get sent out so I did not have to worry about my item begin damaged or lost. I am a big fan!
