½ star for the banda (it’s to loud for a small place)

I honestly don’t think I’ll come back of I do its for the servers and beer only
I was disappointed with the food need to step your game up with the seafood you serve

First time here I was expecting more from food but it was just OK although live banda makes up for it and the micheladas are good too, I’ll definitely come back since their customer service is excellent too :)

I went here yesterday for the first time, and I loved it!
The music was good and the food was good as well… I can say it was worth the drive from Long Beach!
The place is big and the waitresses are good and fast… none of them were rude and kept on asking if we needed anything.
So we are definitely coming back again. and they have live music till closing time.

If you want a place with Banda music and really good seafood this is the place. We went Saturday night… and had a seafood/​shrimp plater… the plater was divided into 5 different type of shrimp! Wow what a great medley of flavors so so good!
If you don’t like Banda music I suggest you go during the day because the food was great!
So like the other reviews state, the music is loud but not as loud as other similar restaurants, you could actually talk… don’t miss this place if your in the area…

Where can I start!
If you like bomb mariscos, not chingaderas
If you like listening to great live Banda music, not some shitty house band
And like having good service from some beautiful ladies, not some old señoras!
Then this is the place for you!!! I love coming here and I recommend this place to everyone I know!!! Ooooohhhh and not to forget that they they also have the most delicious micheladas in southern Cali!!! And I’ve been to mariscos places from San deezy to San Fran!

Come for the micheladas and enjoy the great food. There’s also entertainment with a live band. Can’t wait to try something else next time I come.

My favorite Mexican Seafood joint in Santa Ana, this place is my go to when craving a michelada and good entertainment.
Food: Fresh fish that is cooked to perfection. Either grilled or fried, the preparation of the seafood here is wonderful and you can’t go wrong with either. The gobernador tacos are probably their most popular item, we ordered them and they were super tasty and delightful. My favorite item on the menu is the botanas, you can chose any type of combination fish and shrimp. I like the salmon quesadilla, salmon is light, healthy and packed with the healthy omegas. makes me feel less guilty. The quesadillas are grilled, crispy and packed with flavor. Salsas are fresh and taste with a good kick to them.
Ambiance: Super authentic atmosphere. I recommend coming early on busy weekends or evenings as it can get packed. Also, if you’re not into the live banda or norteño music, come early as it can get bumping later at night. Super colorful, lots of pictures of famous singers that have visited or frequent the restaurant. Good service from friendly and cute waitresses.
Price: Seafood is pricey, but I’m surprised at how reasonable the prices are considering the fish is high quality, fresh and delicious. Similarly, portions are huge, which makes the price even more reasonable.
Service: The employees are helpful and patient. Efficient, especially considering how busy it gets at times.
Overall: Delicious and authentic Mexican seafood dishes that are fairly priced and of large portions! Great entertainment and music to relax with a beer and some friends.

Ive always liked this place for there micheladas And there shrimp empanadas. Whats ive notice is that in the last few months there quality of service and food has gone way up! Highly recommend this place for Mexican Seafood and great tasting Micheladas. Always like to go with my girlfriends to have a good time while listening to Banda on weekends!

Excellent choice of food and entertainment. Not sure why these Unilocal reviews are so bad. I haven’t had any bad experiences.
Aguas chiles is in fact spicy as it should be and the ladies don’t allow your cup to go empty. Lastly but most definitely not least, they don’t hold back on the amount of shrimp served.

Discovered this great Mariscos spot last weekend. Really fresh seafood and big portions. Great value! One of the best micheladas I’ve ever had. Great spot to come with a group of friends and enjoy music, and yummy seafood! I’ll for sure be back!

Delicious food and great service!
What we ate:
Mocajete combination: delicious full of shrimp super hot (temp) so be careful
Shrimp with butter and garlic: delicious and huge portion of shrimp
Ceviche shrimp and fish: flavorful did not need to add tapatio
Carne Asada plate: decent. My daughter felt it was seasoned like an American steak not like the carne asada we BBQ
Cheese Quesadilla: Ginormous!!!
Rice: butter cooked rice
Beans: refried and good
Cons:
Super loud but the music was great!
Kultura played today and I enjoyed the sound of the band and the singing.

If you are looking for a great authentic Mexican food restaurant in a low-​stress and friendly environment, this is NOT your place.
Santa Ana has the best Mexican food around, except in this place. The seafood was blasé and pricey. The guacamole was good but the chips tasted raw and dusty.
Did I say the place was loud?! With all the narco-​corridos blasting at 120db, the Latina waitresses’ wardrobe leaving little to the imagination, and the questionable quality of the food, I think we can classify this place as a really loud Mexican Hooters.

Bad service. Went to this location about a month ago with a few friends, everything started good until the end when our waitress brought us the tab without us even asking for it. They made it seem like we didn’t have money to pay for our food and few beers we had. After we told her we weren’t ready to leave and wanted to order some more food she apologized but then it happened again.

Esta bueno si vas a comer ahi pero si ordenas para llevar te dan muy poca comida. Yo ordene unos aguachiles y solo ivan como 7 camarones y pura cebolla y naranja.

Food is ok service wasn’t all that great. Their service is slow and expensive. Not to impress to go back.

Food is good, little pricey but good. Their micheladas are good too. They often have live banda, trio or mariachi.

–Service wasn’t very good, although it was a bit of a busy evening so i’ll let it slide.
–Waitresses all dress like sluts, clearly the owner knows what demographic he is going for but still, pants up as high as could be and pretty tight; same with their shirts, very tight and push up bras galore.
–When I went there was a banda playing, thats neat except the whole part where I couldnt hear a damn thing the person in front of me was saying. Shit was pretty loud, they also seem to think it is okay to have the banda play in front of the entrance and inbetween tables. Very obnoxious.

I been here a few times but this last time really made me see that there food is over priced and there service is definitely not the greatest. I recommend you guys to come eat any time before 5pm if you want to get decent service and available to hold a conversation with your partner. Any time after that place start getting over crowded and excessively loudly to even hold a conversation and you will only see your server twice to take your order and to give you your bill. Oh and one more thing they charge for water same price as a fountain drink for one moment I thought I was In Mexico only place I’ve seen they do this.

WORST FOOD EVER
My husband loves the music which to me seems wayyyyy too loud for the small size of restaurants I guess if its not a table full of drinking men the waitresses don’t give you any attention. They are not friendly and the appetizer platter is nasty as hell YUCK waist of money and over priced the worst part i live so close and would actually come here often if the service and food was better but in the end it’s their loss they seen to not care or change because the reviews on here are not any different than mine
I will give them one more shot only because my husband loves LOUD ASS BANDA MUSIC which is too loud for my 3 kids so again thats another loss

The food was okay, except for the shrimp empanadas. Those empanadas were DELICIOUS, and rescued this entire review. The only reason I would go back would be to have those empanadas. Of course it was over-​priced, the service was slow, but the waitress was no nice. so I won’t speak negatively of her. We arrived at 8 on a Friday night and it was pretty dead, but by 9:30 it was busy. The experience was lacking for me, but it’s not the restaurant’s fault I am not a fan of LOUD music, the area where it’s located, or the type of clientele it attracts.
OVERALL, try the shrimp empanadas, have lots of patience, and take some ear plugs if you don’t like loud music.

I won’t go back, it’s that simple
Too loud to hold a convo, I stared at my friends the whole night.
Two stars because the Micheladas were good, and because our server was nice, forgetful but nice.
But the Vomit in our beer bucket was disgusting!
Ladies be careful if you are wearing heels, the floor feels like you are ice skating.
