I had been dying for good ceviche or aguachiles in Santa Ana. Well this place definitely met my expectations of good seafood. The shrimp was very clean and didn’t have a fishy(dirty) taste. Both the aguachiles and the ceviche tasted very fresh. No need for more searching, this is the seafood place I need.

I haven’t had ceviche in sooooooooooo long. I forgot what it tastes like! I asked the sweet young girl what to recommend. she said CEVICHE! So I got 1 order of that and it was sooo delicious. So much flavor from the lime juice. Definitely tasted like its been marinated and soaked up the juice for a good amount of time. My boyfriend wanted to try 1 order of the mixed ceviche which had octopus, shrimp and imitation crab with sliced avocado. This was great also, its not soaked in juice — but they give you slices of lime. We also got empanadas… which was incredible. The right amount of flour on the outside. and some shrimp on the inside. Mm. Youve gotta try this place!

I think this is the same as the little yellow lunch truck off Grand. If so the shrimp cocktail is awesome. Full of fresh shrimp. The tostadas de Cameron are super tasty too. The fish tacos and shrimp tacos are very flavorful and tasty. You need to go try it. You won’t regret it.

Definitely worth the visit! Fresh mariscos with lots of flavor! Prices are also very reasonable and portions are huge. Love this place. Will definitely visit again.

If you are from Nayarit, Mexico this place hits it close to comfort. Casuelitas and empanadas de camaron are right on the money. Only reason this place is not getting a 5 is due to the lack of beer and exterior cleanliness.

Best. Ceviche. I. Have. EVER. Had. This place is such a jewel. I’ll admit, the first time my boyfriend took me here, I thought it looked shady but then the food came. The glorious glorious food. The shrimp empanadas, the 7 mares, the campechana… my God, the campachana. All of it, amazing. The sales people are always nice(there’s this old man that works there that always stares at me and my boyfriend when we come, even though we’ve been going there for over 2 years. Yes, he’s dating a beautiful chocolate MORENA. Get over it.) and the service is a little slow. But that’s only because they are making everything fresh. Check this place out, you won’t regret it!

Been to the truck that is across from El Toro Cariniceria off of First and Bristol. Ceviche was a big portion, good amount of fried tortillas. mix around and add some hot sauce and you have something that i’ll drive back for pretty often. i think it was like $ 5 or so.

Hands down, best shrimp ceviche and Cazuelas I have tasted anywhere. For 25 years I thought Momma made the best ceviche. then 10 years ago I read one of Tavo Arellano’s reviews of this place, came to try it out and have been a die hard fan since. Sorry Momma. you’ve been one upped… As another reviewer mentioned, it is mystifying that this place has such few reviews, being as good as it is. dang shame! Food is fresh, tasty and served with a very friendly smile. everyone is a «Primo» here!.. Nice!.. aaait… just got my Cazuela prepped and ready, diving in!

The shrimp ceviche was delicious! I think the $ rating should be adjusted. I read somewhere you could get a large ceviche for cheap, but we spent $ 18 on two sodas and a large ceviche. Very delicious, but more than I was expecting to pay.

I really like this place! Might not be the most inviting or nice looking restaurant but the food is great… tostada de ceviche de camaron and empanadas hit the spot every time!

I cant believe this place only has 9 reviews! We come here every week for the ceviche tostadas. Make sure you order the cameron and pulpo ceviche tostada. The cameron empanadas sell out before the day is over… dont miss it. A good third choice are the cameron tacos. Ive had smaller portions and less tasty ceviche in some of the best restaurants in OC for triple the cost. A very large portion of ceviche for only about $ 4 3 empanadas for $ 5 shrimp taco $ 2.50 each

This was my 3rd time here, I always get a large ‘Casuelita w tostadas”, but this time it was different and had no flavor. It took them like 30 mins to call out my order. Wasnt really happy. The good thing was my cold jarrito. Dont think im going back anytime soon.

My brothers friend brought him a large order of shrimp ceviche the night before he flew out to Spain on vacation. I tried it and fell in deep love with the ceviche. I am a mariscos(seafood) afficionado. I’ve had the best seafood from San Diego, Cabo, Cancun, Tahiti & Bora Bora. So 2 months later I finally got the chance to drive 1.5 hours to Anaheim to try this out. The ceviche & horchata were delicious today!

As others have mentioned, this place is ghetto. It was recommended to me by a Mexican coworker who assured me that this stuff was good and fresh. First visit was Campechanes and fish ceviche, both very good. The campechanes needs the liquid to be seasoned, which you do yourself, they give you salt, ketchup, hot sauce, do what you need to. The seafood was indeed very fresh, as fresh as I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The Ceviche didn’t disappoint, it was delicious, and if you order the large, it is enough for appetizers for several people. Second trip was Fish ceviche and Shrimp ceviche, awesome. That time I needed something to tide me over ’til I got home, and tried a fish taco. It was ethereal. No kidding. As someone mentioned before, it was small, but boy was it good, as good as I’ve ever had. Two days ago, two fish tacos, and a shrimp taco. Not as great as the first time, but great. The staff is friendly, and treated this white boy right. The younger guys speak English, and with a lady my age(40s) I was able to get through with my limited Spanish. I don’t look forward to them getting a liquor license, that will bring trouble I suspect.

Mariscos los primos is a restaurant that specializes in mexican seafood. They also have a Lonchera(Lunch truck) that parks across the street from El Toro Market Monday through Friday. the los primos lonchera also specializes in mexican style seafood. It is not fancy(and actually kind of ghetto). At first I felt a little bit apprehensive ordering seafood from a truck but I have grown to love this place. The prices are a few dollars cheaper than any Mexican restaurant. They have your typical mexican seafood(tostadas, cocktails, aguachile, etc.). pretty good food for a reasonable price.

*Edit* Took them down to 4 stars, quality has not been that great during my last 2 visits. Still a good spot though! Okay, this place looks really ghetto, and it is! Great food, amazing prices. Couple of my favorites: Agua Chile Empanadas de camaron Tostadas(ceviche, jaiba, mixta) They serve up a great agua chile. Real cheap. About $ 9 for a portion that you might not be able to finish. Great dish for the hungover crowd. This place never disappoints. They are working on getting their liquor license and once they do, you are allowed to bring your own beer to this place. Overall, a must see if you love Mariscos.
