Do not use this place for a group banquet or a company party. My group used this place two years in a row. First year was ok. Second year, the room we booked was not available at the time agreed on our contract, In fact it was being used by amateur musicians playing god awful very loud rock and roll. I know good music. This was awful. The manager said over and over they would be packing it up soon. In the meantime, my guests arrived and we sat there while the music bunch took their sweet time packing it up and moving out of the room. We finally got in almost an hour late and had to set up some tables ourselves. We were overcharged for dinners after being assured in email that the headcount was approximate and did not have to be accurate. They sat 5 dinners on the bar and basically told us «tough», and charged us for them. The place does not resemble a restaurant anymore. Its now a very loud bar for drinkers who tolerate poor service and a chaotic atmosphere.

This restaurant/​venue/​bar is huge! The outdoor patio is charming and matches the inside themed décor. They hold performances here practically every night, but that doesn’t compromise the quality of their food. I was actually surprised in a good way! The chips and salsa were awesome and it was the best pulled pork sandwich I have ever had in my life! Their margaritas were yummy and strong enough to give me a head change after having just 1. Prices were very reasonable here (pulled pork was $ 10.99 and came with French fries and coleslaw).

OG Mikes seriously needs Bar Rescue to come in and rescue this place! This used to be such a great place to go to, but they have let it go! They need to replace the carpet and floors because there are so many rips and tears. This place is run down and needs a pick me up! Also, the two bars need to be cleaned. They are filthy dirty and make me not want to order drinks! Hopefully they clean it up a bit because if they did, I am sure many of us who used to go there would come back!

I love coming here for lunch! They just got a new menu and it’s delicious. I recommend the BBQ Chicken Salad and the Clam Chowder. Also, ask for Nicole or Marsha, they’ll take great care of you!

This is a huge dive hangout. Very spacey, chill ambiance, which I prefer. There was a live band performing. Azusa something… Music was on and popping. We arrived early, it gets packed, so rsvp for a table in advance. The food is nothing special. Drinks are served in plastic cups, but they carried my favorite beer 805. The crowd a little rough. Everyone was nice to us, but there were some questionable characters. So we left early.

Use to be a cool place when it first opened, just went this weekend and just wow. Looks runned down, the crowd has really changed, music is ok but need to change it up a little more, i know because ive been djing for years. Its a cool place if you are local and want go get out and listen to some old school style jams but eh. Personally me myself i pass

Ive actually never eaten here. I went to meet some friends on a Saturday and the place was so filthy dirty I made an excuse and left early.
Maybe it was just in my head because others seem to go back again and again but it smells like urine alcohol and vomit no me. Yuck.

Just left Original Mikes we went during our lunch and let me tell everyone the service was OUTSTANDING!!! Me and my friend left so happy and glad we picked this place for our lunch… I love it great food, great service great everything. honestly was just PERFECT!

Two stars for pretty good food. It’s the awful service that lost them the other 3. The stories I have of it would make you cringe.
I know the servers mean well and for the most part they are nice enough, but my gosh the service!!! I’ve come here to watch the OSCA kid’s bands play on Saturdays and I swear ordering food is such a hassle. It takes them ForfreakingEver to take my order and then it takes them another couple of years to bring it to me and then finally bring the check. Forget refills! If it weren’t for the kids I wouldn’t go.

Such a shame, great location, huge space, so much potential…

Such a bummer and disappointment in the customer service that was received from this place. The food was pretty good but customer service was horrible!!! Went to this place to see a band play this last Sunday and sat outside on the patio. Took forever to get a waitresses attention to order anything and they were not even busy.
My friend and I had to go inside to the bar every time she wanted a drink because the waitress could never be found. When we did finally get our food it was good, but she never came back to check up on us and see if we needed anything and the empty plates sat on the table for a good half hour.
NOW, here is where I am really disappointed and upset with this establishment. The waitress was kind enough to make sure that my friend and I had separate checks, but she put both checks in one check holder. My girlfriend took her check out, paid cash and put it on the table. I paid by debit card for my part. After 20 minutes when the waitress finally came back she explained she «accidentally» charged my card for both checks. I did not authorize this and the cash was right there on the table for the check she charged me for. She went on to explain that she realized what she had done and reversed the charges.
This is a debit card and unfortunately that charge showed in my checking account immediately without the reversal. I went on to explain that I can’t afford two charges and need my money back they took. They got the manager who proceeded to argue with me and talk to me like I was an idiot telling me that the charge will not be there the next business day because they reversed it. I showed him my statement on my phone and he STILL continued to argue with me,
It is now Wednesday night and that charge is still pending taken out of my account, I have no money because of this unauthorized charge.
I will never go to this place again just because of the manager arguing with me, talking down to me and telling me over and over again he doesn’t care what my bank is showing, it will not be charged to my account. I now have to call my bank, fight the charge all because of terrible customer service all around. Not something I want to deal with when going out to have a good time.
Shame on you Original MIke’s and shame on your manager for not trying to help a customer because of your mistake. I am giving this charge until tomorrow, which will be 4 days by then and if that charge is still pending, I will be calling my bank to fight the charge.

I usually come on Friday nights cus they play Funk. My rating is strictly for the music. I ate here once a Long time ago when I was 21 so i can’t rate the food for you. PRICE on drink? I wouldn’t know! Don’t usually drink. As soon as my rump starts to shake, its the funk calling! Friday nights bring a lot of Santa Ana locals. Locals being all my OGz, homies, Thuggin n clownin people who might be quick to intimidate out of towners but not to worry! Come through cus it’s ALL LOVE! Funk is the ONE that unites us through the spirit of universal sound! Come get down down down with a funkateer like me! Big ups to DJ FROG for making me get these ants out of my pants! Funk Freaks you put it down too!

I ordered a Flatbread pizza and it came with a side of HAIR!!! I had to wait for another but didn’t really want it. The waitress didn’t really seem to bothered by it.
Actually you would think they would offer my pizza free not a damn chance. I come here every month and this is the kind of service I get. Come the hell on! Really. The waitress also gave me attitude like I was the problem. I can’t believe this is the way they choose to run the restaurant. I do have pictures to prove it. Just unfreaking believeable. I will be eating elsewhere from now on.

I’ve been her often on weekdays, mostly for the live band and food. I usually order the BBQ wings and bf orders the hot wings and side Ceasar salad. Food is great and live entertainment tops it off. Place had good parking, courteous host and always has an upbeat crowd full of dancing and laughter. This place also has karaōke and rooms/​areas for different taste example a quieter area for dinner minus the band and dj.

First time here. This was an automotive repair shop when I was a kid here in Santa Ana in the 50’s and 60’s.
Sat at the bar. Service was quick and friendly. Had rotisserie chicken with garlic mashed potatoes. Excellent flavor in both.

I’ll start off by saying WOW! It was my first time here and I loved it! They played the best FUNK and GANGSTA RAP! For a while I’ve been wanting to go out and dance and finally I found ORIGINAL MIKES! There are 2 dance areas. A big outside patio area. They also have 2 bars. The sound system was bumping. I went on a Saturday night (yesterday) the vibes were great! It was more of an older folk type environment and gangsterish. BUT, there were youngins as well, like myself. Bathrooms are kept well cleaned up throughout the night. I had an Adiós and Hennessy w/​Coke and it was the BOMB! I really recommend this place if you want to get down and boogie the old school way! Music– OLDIES (very little), 60s-​90s, Rock, FUNK, and GANGSTER RAP I had so much fun and it was awesome experience. I’m definitely coming back here! The atmosphere is awesome but the food is just OK, The service yes it’s a little slow yet the band was playing so there’s a lot of people there, would I go back? Yes for the band that plays on Wednesday night but next time I’ll just order the The hamburger

They seated us right away in the bar area. We waited at the bar area as there was a man putting away straws, napkins, cups, etc. After some time he decided to acknowledge we were there and let us know that the bar was not open and we had to wait on the bartender from outside to come in to take our orders.
Once we started getting our drink orders made an entire motorcycle club comes in with their cuts on and starts to order drinks as well. That was fine but when we wanted to order food we learned that the one bartender was also the waitress. We stayed because she was trying and doing her best. Nearly a 3 hour event for some drinks and a salad.
The issue I really had was the motorcycle club walking in with their cuts on. What if a rival came in or what if it is just allow anyone can fly their colors and drink alcohol and get loud. It is a business and shouldn’t be allowed.

When my friend asked me to go out here for her birthday I was kind of skeptical. She said that they played funk music which is not really my thing. However when I got there there were two rooms, in one room they played oldies and the other room actually had some good music. Well music that I like, such as rap and R&B.
The DJ in the room where they played rap was decent. I requested to hear some Drake and he played it for me, which made my night. I don’t know if this’ll be my first choice to go out, but overall I had a fun time.

The food and service was 2 stars the cool cars and motorcycles bumped it up to 3 stars.
I had the blackened chicken sandwich that was extremely bland. The apples on it tasted like they weren’t fresh at all. Their was no hint of spice or seasoning at all. The bread was soggy. The only good thing was that the onion rings were hot.
The service was really bad unless we ordered from the bar otherwise we never saw our server. I had to refill my own coffee twice.
It’s definitely not a place for kids on weekends.
