The worst online purchase I’ve ever made. I bought two sofas in August 2015. They sent one of the sofas in October, but I’ve never received the second sofa. I contacted the company many times. When their not dodging your phone calls, they’re busy lying to you via email. Rolf is the worst one. Lying comes natural to this guy. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and the company will not talk to the BBB. Now, I have to sue this pathetic company to get my money back. You’ll regret ordering from these shysters.

my girlfriend and i stepped into the store to shop for a new sectional sofa in january. i already liked the vibe upon entering because the staff present were not pushy and annoying like that of employees at other furniture stores we had visited prior. instead, they gave us space and helped us as needed. all of our questions were answered and the entire ordering process was explained to us as well. we left the store that night with the intention to come back at a later time after we contemplated the size/​measurements of where we would put the sofa in our living room.
when we returned, the same gentleman (hector) who helped us the first time was working and helped us again to place our order. he explained the sofa would take two to three weeks to be manufactured and if we had the couch delivered, it could take an additional few days to a week. we originally stated we would pick up the sofa ourselves once it was finished. however, plans changed and we no longer had a truck at our disposal so i called to ask if the sofa could still be delivered. they said yes and also stated it would cost the same to deliver as the initial delivery quoted price. the best part about this, is they delivered the sofa the very next day within the timeframe they stated. they gave me a courtesy call in advance about thirty minutes to their arrival and were not a minute late.
hector was upfront from the beginning and everything he told us about our purchase was accurate. the sofa is amazing and comfortable and blows our old piece of crap out of the water. thank you guys for all your work!

They made my dream couch!!! I’m so happy:) When my they delivered the couch, it didn’t fit through the door, so they took it back to the warehouse, and made it a sectional instead, re-​delivered it, and only charged $ 100 extra!

I wrote my previous review and received a message promptly from Rolf. He informed me that both the mattress and box spring were under warranty and should not have any issues. He offered to replace it, no questions asked. It’s not like I was able to just toss the box spring into my car and bring it over so Rolf arranged for delivery to swap out the bad box spring with a new one. All of this happened in about a week. His attention to my problem was prompt and courteous and I was really not expecting this level of customer service. I am extremely happy and grateful that Rolf reached out to me and did a great job addressing and remedying my concerns. It’s not the store’s fault that the box spring wasn’t made well and they fixed my problem. I am totally satisfied now!

I won’t ever buy a sofa from anywhere else. This is the only place you should buy a sofa from! I got a beautiful sofa/​love seat combo from here and it was one of the greatest shopping experiences of my life. I was greeted as I walked in and helped right away. I picked out a style I liked and thought that would be the item I was getting. To my pleasant surprise I was told «I can make you a brand new one.» This place only delivers smiles. This combo was super affordable. The cheapest you’ll find but excellent quality. I sometimes fall asleep on my sofa instead of my bed. It looks beautiful in my home and everyone comments on it. I love that I got to pick the color, fabric and design. The staff is amazing. The delivery was smooth. I’ll purchase from here a million times again.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. They have no respect for customers and are incredible rude. They blatantly lie as well. As others have noted, the shipping times are completely wrong and they are not good about getting back to customers. We took of a whole day of work on the day the piece was to be delivered — even called in the morning to confirm and it never showed. Been trying all day to talk to someone in charge and get a refund but they are always «out on a sales call.»
Also one of the reviews is actually from there owner, artificially inflating their score.

I did not end up ordering from them due to needing my furniture quickly, however their customer service was top notch. Thank you Rolf!

The other reviews are right, you walk into this place and have to think twice about purchasing stuff here. But I am glad that I did… the new sofas and bed got delivered this week and I am thrilled with them. The sofa and love seat look even better than I had hoped and the bed will be perfect for guests. The staff was helpful and the delivery guys were great. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because they were not great in communicating delivery, etc.
This place is definitely worth the trip to Santa Ana!

I found Sofas 98 on Unilocal and decided to check it out. I went in knowing the fabric/​style I wanted and found a floor model that was exactly what I wanted (style and fabric, not the size). I had the measurements of the two walls and the coffee table in our family room. The employee went over those measurements to ensure it would all fit perfectly. It was delivered four weeks after the purchase. And the price for a custom couch? EXTREMELY reasonable in my opinion. I couldn’t be happier with our new couch!

The place looks kind of questionable from the outside– just a large warehouse that’s not very full of furniture, but don’t be fooled! Their ‘showroom’ isn’t that large, but has enough variety to give you a good idea of what they can do, and there’s a reason why the selection is moderate instead of vast.
These people are amazing. They’ll custom a couch any which way you want, from:
— fabric
— color
— size (length, width, depth of cushions)
— style
We started with 2 couches on the showroom floor that we liked and basically combined them. Give them your measurements and away you go!
Delivery: they’re pretty honest with how long it’ll take realistically– 3−4wks or so till delivery (there is a charge for delivery).
Customer service: wonderful. They’ll spend an hour or more with you to figure things out, and then update you on anything you need to know. We had a bit of a problem initially with our couch and the format of it, but within 20min., it was cleared up.
Product: just like we asked for. Everything to spec., material used seem to be very standard, not cheap or scratchy. Wonderful.

I love my sleeper sofa so much! Sometimes, I leave work early just to be with it.
Rolf listened to my needs and customized it to my liking. I recently sent Rolf inspiration for a new patchwork design only to realize, that would mean I’d be getting rid of my current couch, and I don’t think I can part with it for atleast another 5 years. Thanks rad dudes at Sofa’s 98!

Working with Rolf made this process so easy! We were moving into our new home and wanted Restoration Hardware-​like design and quality at a great price. Ask and receive! When shopping around the cost was nearly 3xs the cost Rolf quoted us! We drove out from LA once and went over all the details and picked out exactly what we want. A couple weeks later they were delivered! It was perfect! We’ve already referred friends to him and they too already got a similar sofa set! We’ll be back again and again!

We ordered our sofa from this company and I am very pleased. You go in, find a sofa you like, pick a fabric, and your done. Their delivery was very affordable too. Thanks a lot guys, I’ve recommended you to anyone who asks/​compliments our sofa.

Do not judge a book by its cover. And when you walk into Sofas 98, don’t let the dim warehouse and simple showroom fool you.
This is a great place to design your own custom furniture. My husband and I searched for the perfect couch for weeks but could not find something that was perfect for us. We wanted a light gray sectional that was well crafted with firm cushions, modern low arms and fabric that was soft but textured. Oh, and we also wanted a reasonably priced couch, less than $ 1000 if possible.
Somehow, Sofas 98 managed to make our dreams come true!
Adam is the most laid back, funny, thoughtful, anti-​sales guy you will ever meet. He never tried to «sell» us a couch, but provided all the information we needed to make an informed decision. He is one cool cat.
At Sofas 98, you can pick your couch, pick your fabric, even change the firmness of the cushion. After browsing for about 30 minutes, we could not decide on the light light gray or the medium gray. Adam was nice enough to let us take the entire fabric swatch thingie home, compare it with our walls and floors, and call him back with our final fabric decision the next day! He gave us a fair price (less than $ 1000 including tax and delivery) for our entire three piece sectional and everything about placing the order was hassle-​free.
Only downside is that the couches take a few weeks to be made and delivered so don’t come here if you need something ASAP but I am a strong believer that good things are worth waiting for.
Delivery is scheduled for this week, can’t wait!

I had guests coming into town so I was on the hunt for a sofa bed to convert my office into a guest room. It was proving to be so difficult to find something modern, low in height, and inexpensive.
Finally I settled on one from CB2 which was the perfect size and came in tons of fabric options. Only problem was that it was $ 1600 and 3 – 4 weeks out. My boyfriend suggested we try this place as a last resort before splurging.
The shopping experience isn’t much in terms of ambiance, but the customer service was great! The first style we saw when we walked in was a regular sofa that was very similar to the CB2 style — these guys said they can make any of their sofas into beds and they had hundreds of fabric choices. Here’s the most incredible part: they could deliver it in 2 weeks for $ 600 with a memory foam mattress. Literally a THOUSAND dollars less than I was about to spend! Done! We were in and out of there in less than 20 minutes with a new sofa bed on the way.
These guys really pulled through and delivered the couch a few days early to make sure our guests would have their own bed. I’m sad to say I took off 2 stars because after they delivered it, I realized they left two sizable nicks in my walls that need to be speckled and repainted. I’m bummed but at the very least, even with repairing my wall, I paid a ridiculously low price for the sofa.
I would highly recommend checking this place out for a sofa bed or even a sofa — especially if you’re on a budget. Just make sure they’re careful when they are delivering.

This place has made two couches for me, both custom. They have been very solid and beautiful. The price is great and I have a lifetime warranty on the frame ! I shopped around and they offered a better price and custom plus delivery !

Stopped in here with my mom and my sister, we were not a easy bunch to please… but, Rolf was amazing. We got fantastic customer service, he was so friendly and patient with us.
The furniture was great too! We will be back!

2.5 weeks after my order was placed, I called to get an update. Adam answered and he said our piece would be ready by tomorrow 3pm.
When I went in, Adam and Alex were there and they were both very friendly and extremely helpful, especially since I’m a retard with design and anything related to it.
Courtesy and speed without that fake office voice. I think everyone should be allowed to wear t shirts and jeans to work if this is the result.

Super affordable. Everything looks good. There are sofa and love seat sets for as low as about $ 360, which look good, but are a little smaller, and they make them there and can give you and of the color samples you want, but that would take a couple weeks longer. Everything on the floor is available to buy right away and take home same day, delivery is $ 50 for local. They also have higher end couches that go as high as $ 1500 I believe, many different options. They also have other furniture and mattresses available. Super great customer service, they are nice and patient.
