The morning shift barley speaks English. Not just one but 3 out of the 4 working upfront can barley understand their customers. Makes for no friendly conversation. You can see the frustration on multiple customers faces. The sandwiches are sloppy. Open up a sandwich and veggies fly out every where on your flight. They over portion the vegetables and have to close their sandwiches with a knife. Those knives had sauce caked on them. It was gross. They need a better manager to get their employees kicked into shape.

I travel a lot for work and like a bone head I lost my receipt. I got a hold of the store manager and within 10 min he got me a copy. I really like coming t these guys every time I fly, not only do they have great service they also make kick ass sandwiches!

Line went decently quick with four workers on deck. I got extra cheese on my veggie delite; that’s a first. Also an extra napkin to save for the airplane. Prices are about the same as outside, 650 for veggie foot.

Was surprised that prices weren’t typical airport robbery prices. Subway located next to some premium names in this corner of Terminal C. My sub maker did a great job by rolling the meat onto itself and making it a skinny, bite size meal.

I love subway!!! I eat at Subway restaurants all the time! I really enjoy having an inexpensive healthy option for a fast casual meal. I was recently at John Wayne Airport where my flight had been delayed. My friend and I decided at get a bite to eat. We walked down to Subway because it was very cold in the airport and they had a sign advertising soup. When we arrived at the counter I was disappointed to learn that they were out of soup. I instead ordered a hot pastrami sandwich only to be told they were out of pastrami as well. It took me a second to decide what I wanted from there, so my friend went ahead of me and ordered her sandwich. The man behind the counter waiting for me to order was obviously annoyed by my indecisiveness. He sighed loudly(a few times) and kept asking me if I was ready. I ordered a meatball marinara sub. The crew member put the meatballs and sauce in a soup cup to portion it out and poured it into the bread. There were very little meatballs and sauce in the bread but at this point I was ready to just be done with this place because after pouring the contents of the soup cup into the bread, the crew member threw the soup cup across the way attempting to get it into the garbage. However, he missed the garbage causing marinara sauce to spatter all over the wall. My tab came to $ 8.75(I added a drink and chips). I gave the employee $ 20.75 and he gave me $ 11.80. When I questioned him about the change he very sternly said«NO! YOUGAVEME $ 20.55!!! At this point I was so fed up with the man’s attitude that I just left. I will NEVER eat at this subway again!!! Not only are they WAY overprices compared to other subways($ 5 six-inch rather than $ 5 foot-long) but their employee was so rude!!!

Subways food is always the same. Nothing special. My son likes it, so we eat it. This particular subway though, no cookies and the employees clearly would rather slit their own wrists than work here. I’ve had shitty jobs and you just have to fake it for the customers even if you hate your job and employer. So start faking it! You never know who will be your future boss and you might be serving them one day. Then when you show up for an interview, they’ll remember your misery or you good humor.

Terrible customer service!!! Don’t give them ur business the lady saw me walk up first talk to her then a gentlemen came out and started helping the people after me because I was not standing down in front of him. I’m like hey I was here first. I was standing at the bar where the lettuce was. they proceeded to tell me I needed to be down their. I’m like I don’t have to stand anywhere except here and take my order first since clearly I was their First!!! Stupid people! The manger was the lady who saw me walk up she talked to me and seen the other people came after me. is did Not give them my money or business!

This is the absolute worst sandwich I’ve had in a long time, Subway is so cheap! I got a 6″ turkey and ham and it had 4 slices of meat! The sandwich maker barely spoke and I had to remind them about every topping. Don’t waste your time on this crap hole, only two stars cause at least it was fresh, what little there was. I’ll never eat at any Subway again, the entire brand seems to be overly frugal.

As far as subways are concerned, this one is definitely convenient for an airport. They have quick service. Make sure to grab there. They have one of those soda machines where can add extra vanilla or cherry or whatever.

Usually at airports you get crummy food at exorbitant prices. At the John Wayne Subway you get the same Subway food you’d get outside the airport at the same prices. That means you can get your $ 5 footlong for $ 5. The sandwiches aren’t super exciting, but — as at all Subways — you can choose your bread, tell the worker what you want in your sandwich, and watch them put your sandwich together. It’s just like your local strip mall location but at the airport. I recently ordered a BLT and they heated up the bacon so it was nice and warm. Decent choice for an airport meal.

Finally something other than McDonald’s at JWA, I was actually getting sick of McD’s! You can get a foot long sub for the same price as you’d pay for a subway outside of the airport! As of lately I’ve been hooked on either the Philly Sub or the BLT. Most times they are not busy at all… definitely a better alternative than the rest of food places at john wayne.

This Subway is located inside John Wayne Airport. If you’re not holding a ticket, you can’t get through security and you should just stop reading this review. If you have successfully navigated the TSA security checkpoint, however, and you’re stranded in the airport and your tummy’s rumbling… well, keep on reading. This is a Subway. It’s not all that different from other Subway restaurants all around the country. And that’s why it is worth reviewing. Everything in the airport that you want to eat is a buck or two(or five) more expensive than it is «on the outside.» You’re trapped – you don’t want to go through security again just because your flight got delayed… you’re stuck there. Businesses know it. So they jack up the prices. It’s supply and demand, yo. The American way. But at this Subway, get this: you can still get a «Five. Five Dollar. Five Dollar Footlong.» That’s right, you hungry travelers. Cold Cut Combo, Ham, Meatball… all those Five Dollar Footlongs are still just five bucks, even inside the terminal. And they have one of those fancy fountain drink dispencers – you know, the new ones where you can get, like, diet cherry Coke or strawberry lemonade. Yeah! So head on down to Gate 12 and grab yourself a sammich. It’s better than paying $ 6.25 for a bag of dried fruit at the newsstand. No frills – just yummy sammiches… there’s just one table there… but take it to go! And don’t miss your flight!
