Had shrimp fajitas. with a side of tortillas, rice and beans. All went well until I almost swallowed a metal PAPERCLIP which was nestled in the beans. Very dangerous! It was even rusty! If you go… check the beans! :( After this was brought to the waiter’s attention… he hid from sight the remainder of my brief stay. Everone BEWARE!

Is it just me or has this place lost its touch? I remember growing up eating super antojitos and it was always delicious! Today I had my farewell lunch from work here and it sucked! I was craving camarones a la diabla. They tasted pretty bad over cooked maybe? The sauce was not hot at all. boo I regret choosing this place for my farewell lunch! I guess it’s farewell super antojitos! 2 stars because the chips and salsa were good and that’s being generous.

Came here on my lunch break. Correction on my last 10 mins of my lunch break. Let the guys up front know I was in a hurry and wanted 2 fish tacos. I must have been out of there in 5 – 7 mins. Tacos were wrapped in foil with salsa cabbage and onions and the fish was so fresh and perfectly fried. They even through a little bag of warm chips in for me. Thanks for making it snappy

Horrible service. Did not get any of our order right. No discount given for any of their mistakes and no refill on chips at all. And the chicken was horrible and the steak was fatty. My rice and beans were freezing cold. Will not be returning.

Came here for taco Tuesday, not knowing it was Mexican Mother’s Day. It was just a party of two, we were both starving! STARVING! We were seated after a few mins, and our drink order was taken shortly. Draft beers were half off. A server brought us beans, chips and salsa. Beans were good, chips were stale. After waiting for about 15 mins our drinks finally came out, and we put our order in. Michelada was on the money, but my beer was missing a lime wedge. Not a big deal got up and grabbed one myself. We waited about 20 – 25 mins for two orders of tacos! By that time my date and I were both upset! Having been there for over 35 mins and only munched on chips. Once our tacos came out, both our Pastor was over cooked. My girlfriends shrimp taco came out 10 mins later once I had already finished my meal. Probably one of our worst experience in a while, can’t blame the server but service was below average. Yes it was a busy day(Mother’s Day/Happy Hour) but spending an hour and 30 mins for 6 tacos wasn’t the way I wanted to spend my afternoon. We won’t be coming back. And won’t recommend. Sorry! If you’re in Santa Ana I’m sure you can find better tacos mins away.

Usually come with my wife here for Mexican food. We always order the South Coast Molcajete. Micheladas are good too, I usually ask them to make mine a little spicier tho. The best part is there salsa, it’s good! Makes or breaks a Mexican restaurant for me. I definitely recommend this place. Five stars, two thumbs up for me

Never coming back. Rude customer service. The foods are ok. I like the Mexican sandwiches. Probably not coming back in the future.

Well definitely gonna say this was one of the best Taco Tuesday joints I have been to in Orange County! I got 3 street tacos, chicken + asada + barbacoa and they were all so tasty and delicious, full of flavor, My boyfriend got a wet burrito with a side of rice and beans and it was so huge! we had to take half home! We also ordered Guac which was good, but didnt really taste or look homemade, but still no complaints!!! Our bill was less than 18 $ for the 2 of us and we both left the place stuffed and happy!!! We will definitely be back!

Went here for lunch with co-workers. We were seated right away. The table and chairs felt a little dirty. Waiter came by quick and served chips and salsa and took our drink orders. Ordered a carne asada burrito and a breakfast burrito. Breakfast burrito was good but the onions were raw. Carne Asada burrito was cold. It tasted like it was sitting around for a while. My co-worker’s chicken enchilada was dry. The burritos were not that big. Not the best mexican food. The next day I had a huge stomach ache which I can only think was directly caused by the burritos I had. Will I be going back? Uhhhh… I don’t think so.

Manager has the crappiest and most awful customer service ever. Instead of being more apologetic for the lack of services the establishment provides and offering a customary apology he acts like the Queen b and gives attitude. Awful service by him. Servers are worth more than the management by far. No wonder they hate working for him… Just lost three faithful customers because of him.

My second time here and first time ordering the Molcahete… Soo good! The salsa that comes with the chips is pretty spicy and good too. Last time I had tacos and they were pretty good too. I’ll be back soon.

Horribly over priced for the lack luster food. This is a relocated spot after the original place burned down and it hasn’t been the same since. We just left restaurant after Sunday breakfast and left disappointed. We ordered the molacajete and made the mistake of saying #1 instead of the Baja one. What is the difference 4 shrimps. My mistake was figured out after requesting a menu from the hostess to confirm what I requested. She sent our waiter and a coworker to our table to clear up the misunderstanding. Our waiter was so annoyed and commented that people make the same mistake all the time. His co-worker on the other hand pretty much made the same comment however, added that we could add shrimp but we would be charged. I agreed, I wanted the shrimp. Who the hell eats a molacajete without shrimp??? The shrimps where quickly brought out and I enjoyed my meal. HOWEVER. …we never saw our waiter again. He walked buy our table 2xs and blatantly ignored me when I tried to waive him down to ask for a refill and the check. A third waiter had to get involved to bring us our final items. 1 wrongly ordered molacajete 2 beers 1 order of shrimp to fix my wrongly ordered molacajete(4 shrimps in the order) $ 55 dollar tab… this is a rip off.

Cool spot in Costa Mesa/Santa Ana. It’s in the same shopping center as Trader Joes. I’ve been to this TJ many times and I’ve never seen this restaurant. Lol The staff was super cool, young guys that are on the ball. They even had a guy singing boleros. Lol. The food was pretty good. I liked how when they brought chips and salsa, they also include refried beans. Pretty traditional. We ordered 2 tamales. One puerco, the other rajas, these weren’t the same as I’m used to because they put chile on top but they were bomb. We also shared the molcajete. It was huge! Bottom layer was salsa and all around it, it had carne asada, pollo asado, queso, jalapeños and nopales. Omg. So good. I haven’t had good nopales since my grandmas nopales. I love nopales con chile!!! I’d definitely come back. Oh! And the tortillas are homemade.

Came here on a Tuesday and happily surprised to find they had Taco Tuesday specials! Smaller tacos for $ 1.25(don’t quote me on the price!) and they had pretty good lengua! There’s a salsa station where you can get your own toppings of onions, cilantro, and salsas. I was greedy and ordered the plate that had tamale, enchilada, chile relleno, and a taco. I didn’t really like any of it other than the taco. The tamale was dry, the chile relleno was super soggy and the enchilada was just alright. I would definitely come back for Taco Tuesday though! And a check-in on Unilocal gave me a free beer :) !

Great friendly service but with the live music forget having a conversation. Chips are good salsa is spicy but not overly so. Salsa bowl is way too small although my wife thought it was cool to get the bean dip with queso. So far so good will see how the food is… Ok food is delicious! And we were able to split a combo plate since we don’t eat a lot. Rice is very good more importantly service is wonderful even though the place is jamming. Definitely worth a return visit.

Their hot sauce is legit and their bean dip is good but their chips are wack. Our first batch were stale. I can eat stale but these were awful and chewy. We let the waiter know and he was shocked as he said no one has ever complained about their chips. I guess there is a first for everything. The second batch was better but tasted like old oil. Pass My friend and I ordered the cheese enchiladas with beans and rice to share and this were decent. Nothing too memorable to share. Avg food, avg prices, avg stars. Probably won’t be back
