Wife the had the orange chicken which was really good. My short ribs were ok. Place seems clean, id go there again.

Came in at 9pm when they claim close at 10pm online. Rudely told us they were closed for the night because they weren’t busy, meanwhile 15 people were inside the restaurant. Lots of attitude from staff & rolls don’t make up for their lack of politeness!!!

My coworker and I came to the plaza to grab something fast to bring back. I got the chicken bowl, and it was rather un-noteworthy. It basically tasted like steamed vegetables, and grilled chicken with teriyaki sauce on top of it. Not anything really special, and tasted more or less like what I would get if I went to Flame Broiler or other fast food Asian type restaurants.

For being a «right near work» type joint it isn’t terrible, but I would never go here otherwise. Overpriced for okay tasting food. Ramen is bad, sushi isn’t worth the money, not by any margin. The only thing maybe with the money is the chicken/beef/and rice platters. Even then, its only a once in a while place at best. Breakdown: Price = Sucks Food = Mediocre

I wanted to give Wasabi Grill another chance because I felt like maybe I simply ordered the wrong thing my first time… But I think, now, that my first assumption was right. This time I ordered the: Chicken Yakisoba(1 star) — CHICKENWASSODRYAGAIN. Similar to the orange chicken I ordered last time, each piece of chicken was cut small(½ inch cubes) and EXTREMELYDRY. Also lacking flavor. The noodles were okay but quite thin and the veggies it came with were lacking and quite soggy. A few measly strands of cabbage and carrots. The flavor of the noodles were okay — a little sweet with a soy sauce base. But the chicken was something I couldn’t forgive. I don’t think I’ll be giving Wasabi a 3rd shot.

Had Dinner for 2 for under $ 25. The Ramon noodles were hearty and my mixed sushi was very fresh!

I get the orange chicken/teriyaki chicken combo which comes with rice and salad. You can add half of a California or spicy tuna roll for a small fee. I really like this place because I love supporting mom and pop restaurants. They always have given me quick and quality service and I will continue to go back.

Bought chicken teriyaki lunch bowl and almost choked on the chicken. Need to make chicken more tender.

Been here a couple times for dinner. Small mom and pop kind of place. The mom is pretty nice. Food is OK. It caters to the crowd in the nearby office buildings, hotels, and apartments. If you are around the day area and don’t feel like traveling far, this is a place for some quick sushi and Japanese food. Parking is pretty limited inside the lot but you can also use the lot across the street that is attached to the skyline.

I should’ve read the other reviews first. I had a philly and a crazy monkey roll and neither were horrible but neither were great either. Very small portions and my rolls were warm. Parking was very convenient and the location, adjacent to the freeway and McArthur Blvd also made Wasabis convenient.

This place is convenient to where I live so gave it a try. I got Orange chicken with spicy tuna rolls. I was happily surprised that the Orange chicken was really good. The breading was super crisp and not too thick. It was also not gummy like some places breading gets, especially with take out. The value was very good as well since I got rice(I liked it a lot) a salad(greens were fresh!!) and four pieces of the tuna roll. The cost was $ 9. My order was ready in about 5 minutes and this place stays open until 10pm which is good because I like to eat late. I will definitely go back.

Awesome and accommodating. My Bf and I went there with a couple of friends. We had a few drinks but the customer service was still up to par. We live walking distance and we will definitely call them again!!!

I really should learn from my experiences but I gave their delivery another shot. An hour passed. I called and they informed me they delivered the food. They apparently delivered it to some other residence. They at least offered to refund my money. I really like Wasabi. I dig their Yakisoba and some of their sushi rolls. Unfortunately their delivery is false advertisement. I’m hoping whoever got our food enjoyed it.

Terrible. I was a regular only because I live across the street and it is more convenient than satiating — but will no longer eat with them. Food is always late. They get the order right about half the time. Terrible/rude service. Chicken is dry. EXPENSIVE for quality and quantity. I have sob stories — but let’s just leave it at «don’t bother».

This isn’t your typical overpriced pretentious sushi restaurant. The fact that it’s not is worth 5 stars! The food is decent. Did the trick and got me full. I had the salmon teriyaki and a rainbow roll, both were good. Want beer or sake? They have that too. The owner or Manager was super nice to everyone. Very down to Earth here.

It’s good just not great. Very nice staff. Trying to pin point what it is and I think it’s the teriyaki sauce is really sweet and the salad dressing doesn’t have much flavor. Mine was togo but there was different dressing available when dining in. Sushi chef is onsite. California roll tasty a little too fishy and needs more cucumber for my taste. Maybe because they were closed yesterday not the freshest today. Sashimi was just so so. Chicken was a little dry. Wine and beer menu.

Sushi was acceptable. Perfect for your lunchtime craving. You know the place — it’s not the«knock your socks off» kind of experience. Ramen was ok — had it on a cold day. Service has always been pleasant, with the exception of their take-home menu not matching their in-store prices. They will use the higher price when you arrive. I know the menus are expensive to reprint, but it’s not a pleasant experience for customers. Other than that, only gripe is that the price point is a little too high, particularly on the sushi items.

I am visiting the area for training this week and of course I’m craving my favorite… Sushi. I really enjoyed coming into wasabi as I was created by friendly faces. I needed a quick meal for my lunch break but wanted something delicious. I really appreciated their roll pictures and descriptions as every where is different for rolls. My food took a little while to make for my liking for lunch break. And there wasn’t too long of a wait or rush come in yet and my roll wasn’t prepared very tightly. I had some seaweed that was not cut all the way. Some of a chunk of avocado was falling out of my roll. The crunch roll had too much crunch pieces on top and wasn’t the traditional crunch material I was accustomed to. Over all delicious but I expected the detail wouldn’t be as elegant as a normal sit down Japanese sushi restaurant.

So, despite the reviews, we decided to try this place. As stated, the food was kind of pricey for the portion size. The rolls that we had though, were tasty. The strange part of this and why the three stars is that we came in on a Saturday about 2:45pm — it was supposed to be open until about 10pm. We ordered lunch and felt slightly rushed although we didn’t understand why. One of the staff was eating at a table near by. While the«attractive» server who took our order kept shooting looks in our direction… still we couldn’t figure out why. Our food was served to us about five minutes after we ordered. At about 3, two ladies walked in and wanted to place an order, I really didn’t hear the conversation, but they soon walked out without ordering. About five minutes later, another man came in and wanted to place an order and he was told they were closed… he looked over at us(as we’re eating our foods), and was obviously upset at the posted hours were different. I really felt rushed then. We hurried up and finished our food and left. We don’t live in the area and were just there to buy some things for the house, so doubtful we’ll return.

This is not a critique of the food or the employees. Don’t know if this is a restaurant or Unilocal issue, but the hours on Unilocal for the restaurant indicate it is open from 10:30 am to 10 pm. Went at 2:30 for a very late lunch and a hand written sign in the window said they would reopen at 5 pm. Very disappointed. Wanted sushi. Very convenient to the Doubletree and Courtyard hotels on MacArthur Blvd.
