Love this place! My daughter had an important school interview and needed a conservative Wig to go on top of her unconservative hair style — We where able to get an affordable Wig and worked great!!! Thank you ladies for all the help! We will be back soon to add to our collection Sarah and Gloria

I went here with my mom who is about to start chemo treatment for her cancer. This was one of the hardest days of our lives and the people here were nothing but sweet, positive, and sympathetic. Vicki helped my mom pick out a wig that was in our price range and that didn’t look like a wig at all. She went above and beyond our expectations when walking in this place to purchase a wig and when leaving she had some very positive words for my mom which I know touched her and brought her to tears. I’m not a wig expert but I am sure you could probably find wigs at different/lower prices elsewhere though sometimes what you get is what you pay for. I hope to never have to go through this experience again, though if I did I would not go anywhere else to purchase a hairpiece.

I went to the world of wigs on one of the toughest days of my life. I was facing chemotherapy for breast cancer and inevitable hair loss. The lady who helped me was kind and professional. We actually had a little fun. She put lots of different ones on me. She took her time and was super patient with me. I was so relieved to find a beautiful wig that people don’t even realize is a wig. They just say«I love your new hair style. It is so cute! The price was very reasonable for what I got and my insurance will reimburse me for it.. I have seen lots of my fellow survivors with wigs that are no where near as natural — looking. its definitely worth the investment. I also placed a special order which was delivered just as stated. I am thankful I went to World of Wigs.

First place I tried, and I found exactly what I needed. My daughter and I were greeted immediately and shown around by Renee. I saw a human hair wig in my color(just recently lost my hair due to chemo) that was too long, but Renee had me sit and try it on, explaining it could be styled to look like me. I bought it and returned to have Gaby style the wig for me. Gaby is very kind and sensitive, wanted to be sure I felt well enough to be there, and continued to style and shape the wig til it looked close to what I wanted. Gaby urged me to try it for a while, and said I could return if I still needed more styling. I have a business myself, and was impressed with the service. I’m glad the owner/moderator responds to the negative reviews, especially the obviously unfair ones. I hope others looking for help with hair loss will consider World of Wigs.

Never again will I go here. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Stay away! Rude rude rude and unfortunately racist. I was actually going to spend money here and buy a wig for a costume and the woman working there stereotypically followed me(with only my tiny purse) extremely close and stared me down all over the store, ignoring the group of white people(with large bags) shopping around. Wow. I haven’t experienced such disrespect. I confronted her and said I was shopping for a costume wig and tried to be nice and talk to her to get information about these wigs(price, style, recommendations) to give her some calm, but she instead became rude and accusationall and continued to follow me closer and right next to me… right next to me… creeeeppppyyy. I stormed out. Funny enough — The group of white people left following me into the parking lot and one of the older white women from the group said something like, «I could have stuffed about 10 wigs in my bag with the amount of time she spent being racist with you and that tiny purse of yours. She probably didn’t even see us in there» OMG. LMFAO’ed

$ 15 dollar charge to order an item that they had one of in stock. My wife needed two. I objected, but to no avail. Five months later and the special order has not come in. Employees ‘not allowed’ to refund the money. Came back to speak to some one with more authority. They claim numerous calls were made. IF so, they failed to leave messages so I doubt it. Then they said they could not locate original receipt showing my credit card was charged. I had my copy. Finally refunded the one special order plus fee. But they refused to take back the unused item that was not special ordered. I understand ‘all sales final’, but the two items were to be a pair. I still feel screwed. Plan to contact credit card fraud department to see what can be done. For obvious reasons, NOTRECOMMENDED.

Well, this is my first wig purchase. I checked their website and saw all the great variety and the prices didn’t seem too bad. I went in to the store and tried on several wigs. However, I was surprised to find that all the wigs they had in the store were at least twice as much or more than the ones online. I asked about that and was given some kind of vague answers like was because of the service that you get in the store, but they didn’t really have much of an answer. I was leery of ordering my first wig online, so I went ahead and kept looking. I liked the style of one wig and the color of the other, so asked if I could order the one style in the other color and the woman who was helping me said yes I could and that she agreed that there was some difference(although slight) in the two styles. She went and got the owner to help her make the order and the owner came over and insisted they were the same exact wig and style. I tried them on and showed her there was a difference on the sides of the wig, but the owner insisted there was not and that they were definitely the same exact wig. She was looking at the tags and said they were absolutely the same wig. So I bought the wig. The owner also told me that the company and manufacturer of this particular wig was excellent and always stood behind their wigs. I needed to leave it to be blocked(stretched to fit) and then I came back to have it trimmed before taking it home. As the stylist(not owner) was trimming it I told her I would like to know the brand of the wig. She said she would get that information for me. When I was paying she checked the back area for a tag and said it had been removed. I remembered there had been a tag on the wig when I tried it on, but I had left it at the shop to be blocked and apparently they removed it. She asked the owner to check on that for me. I told her I had the receipt and would that help and the owner. The owner said she didn’t know! What? She didn’t know? She had told me the maker of this wig stood behind their wigs, but she doesn’t know who it is? She said if I wanted to reorder another one sometime I could just bring in the receipt and they could order the same brand(which she says they don’t know?) I told her I might like to order the same brand on their website(which would be cheaper and not as much $ for them — uh oh!) and she flippantly said well just put in the code number and see if anything comes up. Of course, when I got home and went to the website and put in the number it says there is nothing under this number. I like the wig, but am very upset by their deceitful and unprincipled business practices. I have a friend who drives into L.A. for her wigs and next time I will make the trek there with her.

This is a fantastic family-owned(third generation) and operated business, and the service and quality of their products reflects the high standards and values of the owners. Either the people who left one-star reviews got confused with another place, or is someone from a competitor trash-talking. I have met and know the owners personally, and they are great people. They specialize in custom human hair wigs, as well as very nice synthetic wigs. This is a charitable company that also does a lot of charity work like free cuts/style for Susan G Komen foundation in Costa Mesa, and they donate lots of wigs to non-profits to help those who otherwise couldn’t afford them — so when you buy your wig at World of Wigs, you know that you are supporting others as well.

I went to 3 other wig shops in OC hunting for a wig that looked good on me. I was so discouraged after leaving the other shops. No one was really helpful and they seemed somewhat impatient– plus the selection was just not that good. I was so glad my girlfriend suggested World of Wigs! I had a great experience from the moment I walked in. Very friendly, very helpful and a great selection!

Very disappointed in this establishment. Purchased a custom made topper that I was told was 100% human hair but it was NOT. Hot irons and synthetic hair do not mix well… I would highly recommend Hair For Hair in Garden Grove over this facility.
