This is a fantastic store with amazing service. John taught me with a beading technique that will help me to be even more creative in my work. I also found the selection so extensive that it took a long time to decide what I wanted. I’m from LA and have access beads stores, but nothing compared to this place. What a terrific find and I’ll be back to buy and learn more.

Was on vacation and happened upon the store. There was a beautiful moss agate and pearl necklace but no earrings and she was happy to make a pair of earrings to match. Thrilled.

i absolutely LOVE this store! The service is amazing, the selections are extensive and the quality of stones/beads are just so very pretty! The price on some items might seem slightly pricy but when you purchase more than one item, the owner and her son always gives you a discount on the over all purchase! So when it’s all said and done, the price is very very reasonable. The owner’s creativity is just lovely. She can seem sorta definite in designing a look for you, but all you need to say it’s «no, i was thinking more like this…» And she’ll make it happen for you. She’s quick and does amazing work. Whenever I wear the pieces she puts together for me, it makes me feel good :) The side bonus is that I get a lot of compliments too! ;) It’s a FUN store!

I came here again few days ago to make a bracelet for my gfs birthday. I really love this place because their quality is amazing, they also remembered me. The bracelet turned out amazing, I hope she likes it!!! *crosses fingers* :)

This bead store and new location are wonderful. The new space is beautiful and highlights the gorgeous quality of these beads. We need to remember these beads are real gems, minerals and crystals. This is a fine jewlery store in my mind. My mom is a jeweler herself bead bound up north. She spends all her time building and rebuilding her jewels into new items. …The«mother» figure at the store always helps me find things my mom would enjoy or comes up with ideas for her. I’m grateful to pay a little more for gorgeous gems and ethnic glass beads etc. instead of plastic beads sold elsewhere! I thank the owners(son and mother?). And I love that they are carrying raw/rough rocks, crystals and gems…(for my passion) … Not to mention a «zillon types of findings» … I go there every week now! I’m grateful! Yes everything is on sale but in the end its all a good price! It’s their shop and they can do it their way eh?! Happy in Carpinteria …

I’ve experienced better bead stores in my life. The selection of the gem stones were okay but over priced and then there was a discount offered. This sales gimmick doesn’t make sense to me and it’s a bit of a turn off. I also browsed there metal findings and other random beads and that section was sloppy and dirty and wasn’t very appealing. If there isn’t much business here I can understand why. The best thing would be to just sell the beads at a fair price, have a good selection on hand, make sure your store is better organized and provide customer service. The whole time I browsed the store the person there was very intent on cleaning the store and not really providing service. If your the only one in the store you should have cleaned before hand. I could be wrong but I don’t really see this«bead store» staying in business for long but I wish them luck.

I enjoyed finding this bead store on State Street. At first I wasn’t so sure as the gals working there seemed«put out» to help, but then the gentelman started helping and he was great. He showed me the 30% off section and then offered me little extras with my order. I would return if he is working. I would skip it if the gals are the only ones there. It’s not worth the uncomfortable vibe they give off. They could learn from him on how to make customers feel special and not like they are doing us a favor. I was with a friend and she felt the same way.

Lot’s of options for making your own jewelry, or they will help make it for you. The people are fantastic and I had a good experience shopping at this place. I love it when people are helpful and kind hearted enough to be helpful. Being from this area, I didn’t find the prices were too high for the value like other people posted.

I thought this place was really cute! You can make your own bracelet and anklets for around $ 7. You choose the beads from a few strands and then you choose the clasp and they help you make it. They have many different beads, it seems a little pricey, but the customer service was superb.

Nice and helpful guy working. Mainly gemstones but a little more, too. Things were mostly overpriced. They have moved a few blocks further away from the ocean. So call first.

I like many of the pieces they have and the prices are ok. But it’s really annoying how you have ot ask them to open the cases for everything. And the workers are not very helpful/eager to open the cases. I only like this place because I can get unique stuff at decent prices

The lady was nice and somewhat helpful, but the prices are too high compared to other stores. I don’t know any other bead store in Santa Barbara, I think this is it. Too bad.
