Note to self should I happen upon this place or their Forbidden Fruit products. Do not support. I reached out to the proprietor for my org. My org is starting a business to reduce unemployment in the area. We’re scoping things out and I wanted to know about her experiences. A potential business is specialty farming and I thought it would courteous to know each other; perhaps not compete. Before I finished introducing myself Sandra, the proprietor, let me know«there’s nothing in it for me», thus would not meet, letting me know she’s a business«out to make money». Well, what business isn’t? Sorry, as much as this farm has some impressive things, I can’t support someone whose leader is standoffish and can only think of themselves. Sandra, not everything is about you. Most disappointing is my thinking we’d get along based on our mutual love for plants and ag. I love plants so much, I got a Master’s in agroecology. I specialized in life giving soils. Oh well…

Came up to Santa Barbara with a group for a friends birthday. We wanted to do the whole wine room thing at a few different places and Cebadas was the first one that popped up on Unilocal that had a high rating. We walked upstairs into a small, intimate room with a bar setup and a couple other small tables. Our pourer, Gina was awesome. She described our selections in great detail and was extremely knowledgeable about the wines. We happened to come on a day where the owner Sandy was in. Sandy was awesome and told us all about her experience in starting up her winery. She also let us know her rosè was the highest rated in town and she was right, it was delicious. I even bought a bottle. I 100% recommend this place, it was the best wine room we went to yesterday. Five stars!

A great escape from the hustle and bustle of State St, this unique tasting room Downtown has several features that make it a place you should definitely check out… The owner, Sandy, is also the head winemaker which I greatly respect. And I’d say she’s darn good at what she does. At the moment(Sept. 2015) they have two vintages of Chardonnay, a Rose of Pino Noir, and two vintages of Pino Noir. In my opinion, they are all quite good. The manager, Geena, is sweet, charming, funny and knows vino. Chatting with her while you sip your wine is an absolute treat. Last but not least, Sandy makes a one of a kind Blueberry Dessert wine. Yes, I said blueberry! No they don’t use favoring, its actually made with real blueberries that she grows on her farm, the same land that she grows the grapes for her wine. Whether you’re visiting SB or a local, you stop by, explore, taste and enjoy Cebada. Cheers!

We went in for a tasting since my boyfriend is looking for wines to represent for his newly found company. The general manager Geena, was so welcoming. She answered our questions, poured the tastings and showed passion and commitment for Cebada. The Pinot noir rose is a MUSTHAVE, in addition to the 2011 and 2012 Pinot noir. This is a gem of a tasting room– sleek, modern and very comfortable. You must go to this place-I promise you will enjoy it!

Simply one of the best new wineries in the SB area. Chill and fun environment and friendly folks abound. I’m so excited to see where the Pinot’s and Chard’s they have(which are already impressive) go in the years to come! Keep up the good work.

I love the location, the wine and the people(I LOVE Geena the manager). Isabella Gourmet and Cebada are a perfect pairing — off the beaten path, but not that far off, the wine is delicious and I love that there are delicious food items to choose from downstairs. All in all, how does it get any better?!

Hands down some of the best wine you will sample in Santa Barbara. Very complex Burgundian style wines. Great value for such world class wines.

Great wine and Sandy, the owner is impressive to say the least!!! Her vineyard is an hour north of SB. The tasting room in SB was«hidden» but I’m so glad we found it! The wines are excellent. She does it all(growing, making, distributing) and very well. And she grows fruits as well. I signed up for the wine club and can’t wait top get my first shipment, which will include«goodies» from her farm.

The 2011 Blueberry Forbidden Fruit Libation is soooo good! Ricky is super friendly and helpful too. Check this place out! The 2012 Pinot Noir is also delicious. Comfy stools too. The shop downstairs has some cool little treats.

It’s definitely a «quaint» little secret spot –but the wines are big with flavor — try the blueberry desert wine :) Ricky completed the visit with his quick wit and humor — had a great time willie back

Originally I came into Isabella Gourmet to find a gift for a friend. Little did I know there is a secret wine tasting room on the second floor! Ricky offered me a sample of a small batch blueberry wine which was most wonderful. Too bad I had to head back to work because I can’t wait to come back for a full tasting!

Their 2012 Pinot Noir is life changing. This tasting room was first class all the way. Altogether a really nice experience. If you are lucky Ricky will be behind the bar and he is just great. Also do yourself a favor and buy a bottle of their blueberry wine — I was not expecting it to be so good. Thanks Cebada Tasting Room for the lovely experience. I’ll be back next week.
