1st time @ a CBTL! Get the Blueberry Pomegranate Tea Latte! Also, had heat up spinach, egg and cheese on ciabatta bread sandwich. Pretty good for being in the front cooler and then heated up in the bag. Friendly staff :)

Coffee Bean does a great job combining the small coffee house feel with the consistency of a larger company. The Mexican hot chocolate is delicious and very filling. The iced tea lattes are also great. I love that you can use any kind of tea. The staff is always friendly. Sean remembers us every time we come in. Many students do homework here, but I personally find the atmosphere too relaxing. I just want to talk with my friends when I come here.

Good, clean place. Also coffee is above par. There’s is an older generation, free-spirited kind of crowd that hangs out a lot in coffee bean a lot… which doesn’t bother me, but definitely something to take into account! Overall I love CB&TL!

Great customer service etc but the wifi barely ever works. I have gone in so many times recently and then have to leave BC I can’t get any connection.

Clean, very pleasant environment. Great place to spend a lot time — especially during the excruciatingly protracted length of time required to have a simple espresso prepared.

We are used to ordering our coffees with all sorts of special things done to them. Iced, but dry with only ¼ scoop of certain flavors, etc etc and these people bent over backwards to make it just like at the coffee bean at home. Nicest people and helpful!!!

Worst coffee shop ever. Nothing tastes good. Ordered 7 drinks here. I believe 1 of 7 were made wrong. 6 of 7 were nasty. These drinks had no hints of coffee & looks watered down.

I’ll change it to 5 stars when they put a password on their totally insecure wifi that doesn’t blocks my VPN. No password = no encryption = someone’s going to steal my trons.

I stopped by on a Thursday while trying to avoid some of the 101 traffic around 5:30pm. This was a great place to get away! This Coffee Bean is located in a quaint strip of shops & restaurants. The store is very spacious and the employees were friendly. I had a chai latte and it was spot on! Just one improvement point — the bathroom was below par on the cleanliness scale.

This is the worst coffee spot on Coast Village Road. I have been a couple of times and will not go back. It takes forever to get your drink! It’s hard to find parking and it’s always cold inside. The drinks are too sweet for my taste and are made with powders which I don’t love.

I think this place gets overshadowed by Starbucks, which is good in a way. Usually there’s always a table to sit at with Free Wifi, the coffee is fresh, and its very accessible off Coast Village Road. Friendly staff to boot! There’s a reason why this is Ellen Degeneres’ fav coffee shop!

Always cold. They leave the doors open and have the air on, even when it is freezing outside. Uncomfortable furniture. They used to have a working fireplace but its never on anymore. Bummer. Drinks are not that good. Just not… cozy. I want my coffee shop to be warm and welcoming, and it didn’t feel that way at CBTL.

I was really craving a dirty chai latte this morning, so I packed up the baby I nanny and we walked a mile to this location. And I was so excited when I ordered, and I was so excited when they called my name because my drink was ready, and I was so excited when I took my first sip. And then I was incredibly disappointed. The drink was watery, chemically tasting, and had zero sugar in it. I’ve ordered dirty chai lattes at LOTS of places. It’s one of my go-to drinks. This is the first time I’ve ever been disappointed. I had already walked a pretty good distance before I gave it a try, so it wasn’t worth walking back. When I got home, I added a ton of sugar and more soy milk. It’s almost drinkable. I learned 2 things today: always try your drink before you leave the store, and never order a chai latte from a Coffee Bean again.

Great place to relax with a vanilla latte! The staff are friendly and they have free wifi for your studying or online searching needs! The parking can be a hassle but the street behind works great if staying longer than 90 minutes. I also recommend iced peach jasmine tea, lots of ice and tea plus a little sugar will refresh you immediately.

Every time I’m headed up north(which is at least once a month) I stop in here. Every time the employees are kind and curious and I appreciate how they treat the people I believe(through my excellent people watching skills) to be their regulars. And if you go to Coffee Bean regularly you know your beverage is going to be great and this one in particular always makes a good drink. My fellow Americans, coffee lovers and you residents of the Montecito area, give this place your business.

This is the only coffee chain location in SB I would consider going to hang out. Located on Coast Village Road, it’s classy and very Montecito. I hate the Starbucks in Montecito. Miserable music, dark, annoying all around. I haven’t been since the grand re-opening but I’m not going to go because Coffee Bean is so nice. It used to be Tutti’s, a great breakfast/lunch place in the 1990s. The view of CVR is lovely, as is the large tree you see from the back area. It’s pretty and the cute little Montecito kids who come in with their mommies are adorable.

Iced Chai was delicious and just what I needed on this beautiful day. After getting to the store next door and realizing I left my sunglasses somewhere and of course I retraced my steps. They led me back to The coffee shop. Imagine my surprise when I walk and and the barista is wearing my Ray Bans and asking her counter part if they look good on her. I walk in ask if I left my Ray Bans and sheepishly her coworker hands them over. Pretty sad to think they wouldn’t have at least put them in lost and found for a few hours let alone minutes… :(sad because I am «that girl» who never has her things put in lost and found. Happy I walked in at the right moment and got them back:)

Nice place in nice area to stop for a yummy Vanilla Latte! Very creamy and decadent. Happy my niece turned me onto you down in LA. Nice midway stop on the way home to get awake for driving! :)) Parking seemed tough.

Relaxing. I love the look, feel and ambience. I always enjoy a stroll along Coast Village Rd. and this is a perfect stop. Standard Coffee Bean menu. Great service. Parking can be just plain awful. I don’t «plan» to come here. If I’m passing and I can park, I’ll stop in.
