I’ve had a hard time finding a good barber since I moved to SB from LA. Alfonso is the best I recommend u make an appointment he gets busy.

Walked in and nobody said hello. I sat for about 15 minutes for a chair to open up. Another person walked in a few minutes before«my» chair opened up. The person who walked in after I walked in was helped before me. I was told that person was a regular and they help«regulars» first! Don’t waste your time. The place is very dirty and the barbers don’t look very professional…

I use to go here for years when I was a kid and in high school. Came by with my son to get his hair cut. All chairs were full and we were the only ones waiting. After a 25 min wait two others were waiting and two chairs opened up at which point I was told I would have two wait another 20 min due They both had appointments. I told them they should have advised me of the time line before I spent 25 min on a Saturday waiting. Went to Arturo’s and they got us in right away. Even more they were up front and told us it was fist come when I go there.

I’ve been living in the Goleta/Santa Barbara area for three years while attending UCSB. My first year here I would go to The«Goodland Barbershop» because it was close, that barbershop would almost always have 1.5−2hr wait and one three occasions the barber only trimmed one of my sideburns because he was so distracted with the T.V. and talking with other people. And then a friend recommended Danny’s and I’m very glad I found out about this barbershop. This is now my go to place and I always get my hair cut by Alfonso and he always does a good job and I find it easy to communicate and let him know exactly what I want. I’m not into sports and not very talkative so he talks about other general stuff and focuses on my hair, a very nice guy! Even when I go home for the summer and don’t get a hair cut for 4 months he still remembers my exact cut when I return. I also really like that you can call in and make an appointment for free, «The Goodland Barbershop» would charge an extra $ 10, all that money for poor service! As long as I live in the area Danny’s will have my business!

I usually would Get my hair cuts at like fantastic sams or super cuts when I was younger. Ever since I first came into Danny’s I will never go back to those chain hair cut places. Alphonso is my guy. When I first came in he was enthusiastic and he makes you feel welcomed. Talks sports. All the guys here do. Such a relaxing experience getting my hair cut here. My advice is to make an appointment because they get busy around. Which is a good thing because it shows how many people keep coming back.

Been getting my hair cut here for nearly 30 years and I’m not old. Great memories of my grandfather sitting in the same chair. It has changed hand but I can still get a straight Razor shave and a bug shout out to Jonathan

Jonathan Reid is the best! Charming and talented, he makes my man look movie star handsome with his cutting edge do’s. I’d give him twice as many stars if I could!

Fast and friendly… but… I had my hair cut by the owner and he seemed distracted and did not take any instruction. It was as if he was on another planet and was trimming someone else’ s hair. When I left, I had to drive to a friends for a touch-up. Disappointed and will not be returning.

Have been getting my haircut here for a while now. Great people, and a cool lookin shop. The classic barber chairs are really comfortable and it’s not too pricey. Not to say its underpriced either… Just got my haircut from the woman who’s always working, I think her name is Kim. Anyways, it turned out to be the sharpest head of hair I’ve had in a long time.

I started frequenting this shop when my longtime barber was hired here full time. The shop is small, only a few chairs, and reminds me of that stereotypical, old school locals spot: signed pictures on the wall and a game on the television. I get a haircut every few weeks in the back chair, it comes out perfect every time — and the price is right.
