Deeper Touch Massage

Got my mom a gift certificate for a massage. She had a terrible experience and when she contacted them they dismissed her comments and concerns. Wished I had gotten her a gift certificate somewhere else. Definitely would NOT recommend this place!

I have seen Ty 5 times in 4 months and can tell you he is the REAL DEAL when it comes to bodyworkers! I want to address «Cyndi B’s» unfair review that is clearly an anomaly for DTM and a regular style for this Unilocaler… First off, I am also a bodyworker running my own business. Most of us do not have receptionists/​answering services. We return calls as soon as we can, often we are unavailable because we are with clients. Does she expect same day appointments? If so, I suggest she go to Massage Envy or the Massage Place; but don’t expect to see the same therapist or get anywhere near the quality massage that TY gives, not to mention the 1 on 1 attention to fine tune your experience. A quality massage is worth waiting for… as is the quality of the therapist. IMHO, true healing happens when you develop an understanding and trust with your therapist. I trust Ty 100% and as I mentioned before that alone says a lot! ;-) Be patient, be kind and you will find the same. Thank you Ty for being true to your heart and sharing your gift.

I dont normally treat myself to massages but I got the groupon and am so glad I did. I felt comfortable right off the bat. Hector really made sure that this was about comfort and letting your body relax. He has a genuine love for what he is doing and personal consideration for his clients. Definitely give this place a try!

Epic. Hector is a natural and a professional. He really knows his practice, is extremely passionate about the art if massage and makes you feel comfortable from the beginning. My girlfriend paid for my first session as a birthday present because I was always complaining to her about my chronic shoulder pain. My initial request was for a deep tissue massage thinking that would help me but Hector noticed a more sports centered approach was what I really needed and that my back pain was largely being caused by overworked chest muscles. I feel amazing both mentally and physically.
Great place, great vibes, easy to book, very knowledgable, recommend to everyone. You gotta go.

Sad to report that success may have gone to Ty’s head… how else to explain his unfocusness in response to my text, and finally his rude ness in telling me after days of me trying to reach him for a appointment that I was more interested in some one answering the phone, even though I always texted, than a bodyworker.
His ultimate unprofessional act consisted in him texting me an apology at !:20 AM! waking me up from sleep.
Maybe it is time he hired a call service if he does not have the time or energy to attend to his clients in a timely and professional manner?!
In any case regardless of how good he is at massage, who wants to have a massage by someone who has treated them so poorly?
Moving on… I will never recommend him again.

Hector is GREAT! Felt like he’s been massaging professionally for many more years than he has. He really gets tuned into the mind and body, making for a great experiene all around!

Clarify on Location: They are located in Santa Barbara (30 West Mission Street).
It’s a very different massage place — When you walk in, you feel like you’ve walked into someone’s cozy apartment. There’s a couch, bookshelves, ornaments…
I’ve had two Lomi-​Lomi blend massages: Once with Hector and another with Ty.
AMAZING!
Both of them have their own styles, but they are both great.
It’s truly worth your time and money. Give them a try!

I had a massage with hector and he is definitely a natural. it was an amazing massage. usually, I have a difficult time relaxing on my first visit with someone. this was an exception. he is very intuitive and I will certainly return. the setting is cozy and relaxing. the massage table was different than any I had seen before, but so wonderful.

Ty does a wonderful job of taking the stress, strains and tightness out of your shoulders and knotted up muscles. Without having to ask he can tell what’s out of whack and what muscles need to be worked on and loosened up. He’s a very good massage therapist for anyone looking for deep tissue sports massage as well as a lighter touch to take away your body’s tension. He’s a true professional. I understand he also teaches massage to other professionals.

I just had my first session with Ty and I can’t say enough good things about it and him. The first great thing was Ty sat down with me and we discussed my health and massage-​needs. I expressed some concerns regarding my physical condition and when he began his work he was able to take everything into account and tailor his technique and strength to match where I was and what I needed. His massage studio is comfortable and his hospitality was completely professional.
Afterwards, I felt SO much better that I litterally went and ran in circles in the parking lot just because I felt like running! I felt like a new and improved person.
I would completely recommend Ty to anyone needing serious physical body work done, or anyone needing a great stress relieving massage. I’m very much looking forward to my next session and I’m hoping I can give my girlfriend a gift certificate for his work as well.

I have been searching for years for a massage therapist to address the many different issues that I carry around with me and I can finally say that I’ve found him.
