Hands down one of the best pool halls. The owner takes great care of the place. I live in LA and was visiting Buelton, drove 40 miles just to check out the place and it was so worth it. Tables are great, Wide variety of beers, I couldn’t find one thing that I didn’t like about this place. Will come back.

I love this place!!! So chill n with plenty of tables. My BF n I played for a couple hours, bought some beers and just had a grand slam of a time sucking at geometry. I loved it. We stopped in at another billiards place and there was only a couple tables, lots of old folks, loud country music and two Bulldogs off leash n greeting us when we pulled in. There was no odd music playing here thank goodness, was relatively peaceful except for some sports channel on TV on low volume. The guy behind the counter was a hippy n super cool. Nice vibe, loved it.

Please was reasonable. had a good time there with friend. Bartender can be more friendly. They have a lot of beer selections, and bartenders should have make some recommandations.

They only have bottled beers, but they’re selection is on point. They have ten pool tables to play on, and the staff is really polite and cool.

Had a great time with the kids here. Clean, well organized, reasonably priced. $ 8 per hour to play, pro-rated, so you only pay for partial hour. Friendly staff. We’ll be back.

Don Q is a good pool hall, the best tables in Santa Barbara. This of course comes at a cost as you have to deal with snobbery like using a felt square instead of hitting directly on the table. So don’t me wrong it’s definitely the best place to play pool if you’re serious about it. If you’re not so serious, you may feel like third-party observers are overbearing. Pros: Tons of tables, and people aren’t hoarding them while not actually playing pool.(Dargans patrons, calling you out haha) Cons: People interrupting you if that see you violate the table in any way. Not sure if these people are employees or just really love Don Q’s tables. I get the sentiment but nobody likes being scolded several times while trying to play. Come if you’re serious. If you’re not, there are plenty of pool tables in Santa Barbara.

I’ve been playing here since the mid nineties and still love this place, even after 20 years. I’ve seen billiard places come and go and this one stands the test of time and now with the new owner who’s not only a gem but a pool shark :) Sorry for outing you Jeremy, but seriously, the people there are serious about their game. Watch lil Al play and pick up some pointers. Best pool hall in SB, and pretty much the only one. ha!

I don’t play pool. I haven’t ever been into Don Q’s but I’ve known about it, and walked by it, since it opened, and it always seemed really really cool, and a great place to hang out. I was really sad when it seemed it would close a few months ago, and really happy that it’s still here! It’s great to have a local, locally-owned business. I hope it stays around forever!

Its clean and friendly here.. . VERY low key and neighborhood-y. I like that they have a Ms. Pac Man machine and a large screen TV to watch while waiting for a table. ;-)
