We undertook a massive lawn conversion, and from consultation, to creation, to execution, Jennifer Voss’s talent, knowledge, commitment, and work ethic were amazing — beyond our wildest dreams! She has a deep and abiding concern for her clients’ needs, an astounding expertise in plants, and an unparalleled design sense brimming with charm, artistry, and beauty. And the crews she works with are highly skilled, well-​trained, hard-​working, and extremely reliable. She took great care to select plants that thrive in our soil and sun conditions, she carefully supervised every aspect of placement and installation, and although the job was completed many months ago, she regularly stops by to ensure that the plants are healthy and being properly cared for by our gardener. I could not begin to count the number of neighbors and passers-​by who stop to compliment her work and ask for her number.
We are utterly thrilled – and grateful – for the magical transformation of our yard into a stunning wonderland. Jennifer came highly recommended by friends who had used her years ago, and we in turn have nothing but the highest praise for her and recommend her without reservation.

After contacting Jennifer Voss once again! for her expertise in landscape management and design, I felt compelled to write a review. Jennifer refreshed and redesigned both our back and front gardens about four years ago. She has also educated us about plant installation and maintenance over the years through her consultation and design services. I love the beauty and the variety of plants that she selected for us. She understands plant morphology indepth and it shows in plant selection which is also according to our tastes. From the right kind of walk on bark, selection of plants for location in our garden and for our coastal climate, to staying with the job until it is finished — we couldn’t be more pleased with the services of Gardefacts and our interactions with Jennifer.

We are sad to write a negative review, but it is necessary, since, after six years, we are still plagued by the ineptitude of this company. Our home was damaged in the Jesusita Fire in May 2009, wiping out all of our landscape. We hired Gardefacts. Sadly, Gardefacts never did a soils test; selected plants that should not have been selected for our soil or climate; used inferior bark mulch that causes us to have multiple minuscule splinters each time we work in our garden; failed to adequately supervise the installation, and apparently had no idea how the installation should have gone, requiring us to remove many plants, add elevations to otherwise flat beds, install drainage where none was planned or contemplated, and replace plants that had no business being planted in the first place with others more suited to the soil and climate. Not the least of our disappointment stems from Jennifer’s abandonment of the job before completion, leaving the task to the installer, who actually knew more about plants and the process than she does. On top of the tragedy of the fire loss, we are completely unhappy with Gardefacts and recommend against using this company.

Jennifer Voss, the owner of Gardefacts Landscape Design, totally transformed our garden. Our back garden started out as almost nothing more than decomposed granite and a piece of flagstone. We now have a lovely flagstone patio that she designed for us, gorgeous pots filled with wonderful flowers & plants and a very low-​maintenance garden. We advised her that neither my husband nor I like to garden so she designed one that looks beautiful but doesn’t require a lot of work. Everyone that sees our garden agrees that Jennifer turned it into a magical space.

Jennifer Voss really knows her stuff and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. She knows the plants and how to use them in a landscape as a painter would use oils on a canvas. She worked with me on the design and listened to what I wanted. She stayed with the project through completion and continues to supervise the maintenance crew. I think that sums it up.
