Optical Shop

I was SO pleased and impressed with the service I received. This place is the only one I will go to from now on. I have a tricky prescription, and my lenses had to be redone through no fault of my doctor or the shop. I am a videographer, and the level at which most people would look through their glasses was different for me. The shop owner took a ton of time with me, tested out my vision at every possible distance, and then was able to fine-​tune what the Dr. had originally prescribed and make it work for me.
I was made aware of the shop hours, and when my glasses should be ready, and was called as soon as they came in. They even put a rush on the first pair so I could try them out during a work project, which is how I realized I needed them redone. No charge for redoing them, and they are super high quality and now I can see with no issues at all. Also, to save me the cost of getting rx sunglasses, they were able to order me clip-​ons in the color glass I needed that fit my glasses perfectly.
The other thing I found impressive was that he explained to me that getting used to my prescription could take some time, and if I had any particular issues, to call him, because sometimes there are tricks to getting used to a new much stronger rx, and he could give me some suggestions to try if needed while my «brain got used to» seeing through the new rx. He told me to call with any questions at all. So nice!
I don’t usually rave about businesses, but this was seriously the best customer service I have had in a very long time. And since it was dealing with my eyesight, it was even more important to have that kind of experience. I will recommend this shop to everyone I know.

The Optical Shop is next to an eye clinic where the doctors and staff are very professional and client friendly so it’s natural to assume that the Optical Shop next door would extend the same quality of service. However, I was deeply disappointed with the attitude and service. Tom, the optician, made you feel that you were interrupting his day by providing his service; yet, he charges top rate ($ 400) for new lenses.
He did not offer to help in any way and gave me a delivery day for pick up when the store was actually closed. I would never recommend anyone to use his services.
