Good morning had a Valentine’s Day it was marvelous Santa Barbara we both went deep downtown LOL happy Monday to all my Unilocalers muah from downtown SB undisclosed location by the pier LOL

I come to Starbucks frequently and am usually treated with common courtesy and amiable service. But today I’ve been deeply disappointed, as I was talked down to and treated very rudely. I ordered a passion tea lemonade and asked to have it blended, the staff member taking my order seemed to be a bit confused on the order so I told him he didn’t need to blend it if it was too much of a hassle for him. A man who was standing by who I assumed was a customer stood there listening to the whole conversation and decided to give his input by saying «you’re not even supposed to blend it, it’s not supposed to be blended it’s more work that way» in a very disgusted and derogatory voice. I decided to just make it easy on them and ask for a lemonade because they seemed too bothered by my other request. The man proceeded to add «how long did it take you to make that decision?» Sarcastically and frankly rudely. I did not react assuming he was just having a bad day and wanted to take his anger out on someone, also I thought he was just a customer. He left after he said that and he looked very annoyed, I asked «does he work here?» And the person taking my order said «yes, but it’s his day off» I left the coffee shop after that because frankly I did not feel comfortable enough to stay there. I’m sharing my experience not to be rude or obnoxious but to make sure that other people have a comfortable coffee experience.

Having coffee on a cold day like this love that they are very friendly here i will also stop by after lunch hopefully also i like that its close to work always like walking here.

It works for moms to bring their kids to, but it isn’t there for any man to do anything but be of service at. No self service coffee stations, and door codes at the bathrooms make this a rather exclusive to the mom-​with-​child kind of setup.

I indecisively arrived at the counter to meet a delightful young woman named Lily. She was incredibly helpful and recommended a speciality drink. When I told her of my dietary restrictions, she quickly and intuitively made the correct modifications. I ended with a drink that taste like Christmas in a cup! Thank you! I will be back!

The cashier was nice and even gave a recommendation, but the barista was such a rude person. Just because I asked for a little bit of cold water in my tea so it wouldn’t be scalding hot she said, right in front of us, «stupid bitch» and after she finished pouring water in a cup, she moved it to the counter, and then left to make other things. It’s tea; water, tea bag and you’re done. Nope. She then came again and moved it somewhere else. Just trying to keep avoiding giving us our tea. Come on. You’re the one being childish. I just asked the other barista to hand me my drink because it’s literally just water and tea, there was no reason for her to do all that or for it to just be sitting there.
To that rude ass waitress, get your shit together. Gather it all up, all your shit, and put it in a bagpack, and take it somewhere if you have to, just get your shit together. Thanks for the recommendation cashier, it was good.

this review is for the STARBUCKS on the corner of State St & Victoria – don’t see a # Unilocal review for this store and think i know why… it’s run by kids who don’t really care if customer is happy (& they probably don’t want to be reviewed) — went in the other day… it was empty. there were no creamers or milk containers and when i asked, she handed me a gallon to pour from… i needed more & when i asked again if she was going to put containers on the supply counter, she said she was busy… doing what? i couldn’t say because there were NO customers… she then rolled her eyes at me and smirked… I usually don’t post bummer reviews but this young woman needs to either realize she’s in a service profession or get another job where customers aren’t important – if i could give NO stars I would

FILTHY FILTHY BATHROOMS… the ladies was so disgusting that i took a chance and even went into the mens room where, believe me or not, people were urinating on the floors. Staff were totally indifferent… a health hazard.

Mocha frap and she put no salt or caramel in it– when I potent asked for the missing ingredients she grabbed my drink shook a tiny put of salt on it slapped the lidded I it making a large mess and it still had no caramel. Seriously, you had one job and being asked to do it correctly was too much. Maybe you should look into another job.

Yep it’s a Starbucks geez. Been here million times, who hasn’t??? Lol I mean location is the big thing. Everything else is about what you would expect!!!

Not to burst the Starbucks bubble, but their pastries are just old and mediocre. How come they are so second rate?

Sweetest baristas! My favorite starbucks downtown… Sometimes when I’m not getting my regular, I ask the girls for a suggestion and they always come up with something great!

Best Starbucks ever! they treat us so good over there. Super fast and great service. i go past 2 other starbucks on the way to work and end up there instead of going to the others.

This Starbucks is probably one of the speedier ones on State Street, you can really get in and out of there really quick.

I visited this Starbucks three times in two days and it was good. They have quick service and most of the people working there are nice. However, I asked for water with no ice and they gave me ice twice. When I brought it up, the barista was a little snotty with me.
I tweeted Starbucks about the ice issue and they replied. Perhaps they’ll change their policy because giving customers ice without asking is weird. The body assimilates water best at room temperature and they could at least ask first.

Pleasant and cozy shop with friendly baristas and a killer «Red Eye». This shop is my first choice on State and I’ve never been disappointed yet.
I would definitely recommend this shop and remember;
«Coffee should be served black as the night, hotter than Hell and sweeter than a womans’ heart.»

Stopped in here and was pleasantly surprised by the customer service. As I say in all of my coffee house reviews, I’m a former Starbucks barista and expect nothing but the best from Starbucks stores. More often than not, I’m sorely disappointed. This store was great. Upon reaching the register, I got a huge smile for the cute barista girl and immediate conversation. The barista making drinks looked up from his work, smiled, and said hi. Everyone was very personable. My drink came out quickly and when I asked for an extra cup of ice (I ruined myself from adding too much ice when I worked for Starbucks), I got a smile and a «sure» instead of the usual annoyed silence. You can bet that I’ll be stopping here for a mid-​trip north for a refill!!!

A cruise ship that I was on stopped at this town, so I decided to rest here for a little bit.
Service was a little slow, BUT, the drinks were good and the baristas were very cheerful. The location itself was very nice.
If I ever return to this town for another vacation, I will definitely be back!
