Good off-leash option in Goleta. Water, pooper scoopers(and bags), and usually a few abandoned tennis balls are readily available for you & your pooch. Most of the dogs(& owners) here are well behaved and get along just fine. There’s a nice shade tree when/if it’s warm. So, yeah, I’d rather head to one of the off-leash beaches in the area, but if the tide is too high and/or you’ve got limited time, this is a perfectly pleasant option.

If my dog could write a review, she will use her paws to give it 5 stars. The only reason why it is 4 stars here it’s because there are too many holes on the ground so you should take extra attention when you try to pick up your dog’s poop or chasing after your dogs. Btw, curious creatures sometimes would appear from the hole, they do provide extra excitement for the dogs…

It’s not an overly impressive space, essentially just a big dirt enclosure(there may have been grass once but alas the drought…). HOWEVER, this is my favorite dog park in Santa Barbara. you can tell the people who frequent this place are really dog people who love their dogs. Quite a few regulars and every once in a while someone will add to the community of dog toys and play things. Biggest downside compared to Tucker’s Grove is the very limited hours of operation, 3pm-sunset.

The dog park is wonderful, big open field with trees on the edges. The other dog owners there were nice and their dogs were well trained and socialized. It is in a neighborhood so the regulars asked to keep the dogs quiet, but that is how a herding dog plays, so it probably won’t be my regular spot. The hours are also weird, 3pm to sunset.

I used to live in Santa Barbara and I came to this dog park all the time. My dog and I love it. PROS: *Huge grassy area *Lots of regular dogs and people *Lots of seating *Very clean– the community takes care of it well *There is a dog fountain *Some doggie bags are available but they are limited CONS: *There is no size separation– for smaller dogs(not comfortable around big dogs) it is not recommended *Limited hours 3pm to sunset *No restrooms for people My dog has been stung by a bees here in summer time, so I recommend knowing what to do and exercising caution. Just keep an eye on your dog since it is a big park.
