Nice enough for a concert– very much a college theater look and feel. It’s older and has a tiny lobby/entrance but the theater itself is bigger & has fairly descent sound. The ladies room is very small in general with only four stalls in ladies room. 15.00 to park on campus at performing arts center. Very short walking distance to theater. I attended a night with Melissa Etheridge here on Nov 15, 2015 as part of UCSB Arts & Lecture series. Really enjoyed! I love Santa Barbara.

This last Friday, I was treated to the most amazing show at the Berkeley Rep, a show seemingly made just for my geeky ass. It was perfect. As I walked around the venue, and later as I sat mesmerized by the über hilarious Mike Daisey, I was reminded of my days as an usher and personal assistant during college. 10 über stars for the best job in my short working lifespan. Everyone has that one job that they reminisce fondly of. The UCSB Arts & Lectures hall would be mine. Out of my 27 jobs thus far since legal working age(working 2 – 3 jobs while going to school full-time will help you rack as many jobs as me), this one was the most fun. And, outside of my current employer, was also my longest stint for a long time running at 2.5 years. Through here, I met some great peeps, got to see great shows, and was allowed to meet the most amazing celebrities. The most memorable highlights were: — Douglas Adams, just 2 weeks before his untimely death. I loved this guy’s handshake. — Bonnie Rait — Jackson Brown(I accidentally refused him access to the theatre during the show. Oops!) — the Beijing Opera troupe(they thought I was Japanese. wtf?!) — and let’s NOT forget John Cleese and his lovely wife!(The guy’s HUGE! I felt like a smurf.) I loved every moment working there, and our boss Linda was a wonderful boss. So here’s to you, UCSB. Here’s to making a difference in my social nightlife during the college years!
