This was one of my favorite places to go until they changed their menu and you cannot order both the spicy pork and the chicken. And you can’t pay a few extra dollars to have one of them but have to order another meal with all the other stuff. I’ve been vocal about it but it is the way it is so I’m not going to go there anymore. Crazy that a restaurant that has the product you want wont sell it to you they way you want it.

This establishment changed their name to TOFUHOUSE… I was looking for something new on their menu but they didn’t really have any NEW dishes/tofu dishes! In fact, they even stopped serving some of their food that they used to have! LAME! There’s been several times when I decided to come here for chicken katsu… first time they said they ran out of katsu… so I had to settle for something I wasn’t really craving for. Second visit I asked for katsu over brown rice and the worker said they didn’t have any more left… So i pointed at one of their chicken dish which was pictured on the counter and the worker said they also ran out of that! That was my cue to leave. On my the third visit, I tried to order something on their menu & what do you know… they said they don’t have it!!! I asked the guy working there why they have pictures of food on their menu if they’re not serving it and he replied with«i don’t know my boss said we’re not serving some of those anymore and will change the picture menu later»… UHH alright! Bottom line, I was disappointed!

I was actually very satisfied with my bibimbap. I got it with tofu and it was about $ 8. It came with brown rice, which as F.F. said was actually purple in color, which was strange to me, but it didn’t taste weird. The food came out fast and I was happy to see all of the usual vegetables included. Tasted fresh, and I liked that it had scrambled egg and not yolky runny egg. Thought the food was good and the price was right. I overdid it on the Sriracha, but nonetheless… I would come back for sure!

I’m not sure if they changed owners here or whatever, but what I found in Bibi Joy’s spot today in the Valley Fair food court was Tofu House. The name and menu seem to have changed although it still says Bibi Joy on the receipt, so I’m not sure what to call it! Either way, I thought my food was good. The menu includes bibimbap, rice bowls with choices of meat, soft tofu soups, and ramen. I love my soft tofu soups so I ordered the vegetable one which came with onions, zucchini, and mushrooms. It also came with some side dishes and rice. The side dishes were bean sprouts, japchae, and kimchi. All were tasty, especially the kimchi. Truthfully, I wasn’t expecting it to be that great, but to my surprise everything I got was actually really good! I dare say it’s up to par with restaurant quality. And it was a very filling meal. I’d definitely be willing to come here again.

Korean fast food? AWWWSHIEET! *CODERED, CODERED! EVACUATETHEFOODCOURT!* Naw, I’m just kidding :) The food here was actually pretty good. Now, before you write this place off as the McDonalds of Korean food, be aware that on Lawrence Expwy and El Camino Real, there’s an actual Korean Food court — with REAL Korean people! That’s right folks! Real Koreans, eating Korean fast food. So it’s not as if Bibi Joy is an abomination to all Korean cuisine. Cons — The Jap Chae could have been bolder, with more body. — The BBQ Pork is not grilled(you impostors!) — The portions/quality of the BBQ combo are $ 1 – 2 overpriced. Pros — As sad as it may sound… I actually enjoyed my food. — The workers were friendly — which is 100% better than the mortuary-like service at McDonalds. — The food was tasty. Not AMAZINGLYDELICIOUS… just«tasty.» Okay, here’s the bottom line: You can either eat SUPER fake Japanese food at Sarku Japan, like a f*ckin idiot, jump in a pool of rubbery goodness at Panda Express, or you can indulge in authentic Mongolian cuisine at… uhhh… that one Mongolian place. You see what I mean? Bibi Joy is no SJ Omogari, nor is it a Jang Su Jang. Yes, it is mall food, but compared to the other shit you get at the food court, this is the closest you’ll get to sit down Asian food. However, when it comes to eating food at Valley Fair Mall, I always opt for the super secret restaurant on the top floor of Nordstrom: The Nordstrom Café Bistro. But hey! If ever the Nordstrom Bistro gets packed, and I can’t get a table, I’d be glad to head over to Bibi Joy. I give Bibi Joy a solid 3 out of 5.

I was shopping at Westfield and came here for lunch. Apparently they had just opened and I was in the mood for some Korean. I had the chicken combo that came with a generous portion of chicken over rice and glass noodles. The chicken was ok, had alot of sauce or something on it and the glass noodles were very bland. The dish was around $ 7 and you get alot of food but I didn’t really enjoy the flavors too much. It filled my stomach but I don’t think I’d return.

Of course you’re not going to get authentic Korean food at a mall fast food joint but I ordered the veggie bibimbop with spicy pork and thought it was alright. The pork wasn’t THAT spicy and the veggies underneath were seasoned pretty well. They piled on the veggies and for some that might not be as appetizing as a plate full of meat but I thought the meat to veggie ratio was just right. The white rice was… well…white rice and beyond that I can’t say much else.

This place was bad. My dad had the chicken combo and it was very bland a undercooked. I had the rib special and the ribs were so salty I had to drink 3 cups of water to wash it down. The noodles were terrible and the rice was average. So overall this was a bad meal. We didn’t expect much from a mall/fast-food restaurant but we expected something. Would not come here service is mediocre rather go to panda express next door.

I stopped by here to grab some lunch while I was at the mall with the bf. I usually eat at Sarku, but I noticed this new Korean place and decided to give it a try. I ordered the spicy pork combo and the bf had the short ribs combo. You have the option of getting white rice or mixed rice. We both went for the mixed rice. I honestly don’t know what kind of rice it is, but I just felt like it was healthier than white rice. The combos also come with a side of jap chae. The jap chae was lacking in flavor. My spicy pork was pre-cooked, but the bf’s short ribs were made to order. We had to wait a few minutes for the short ribs to cook on the grill, but I think it’s worth waiting those few minutes because then you know the meat will been hot a juicy, instead of being dried up from sitting in a warming dish. Even though my spicy pork was pre-cooked, I still thought it was pretty good. Honestly, the food was better than I expected, but obviously nowhere near the standards of my favorite Korean restaurants. However, I think people need to stop expecting so much from a mall food court joint! If you are looking for good authentic Korean food then go to a real restaurant!

It was night of December 23rd, one of the busiest shopping days of the year. I was looking for dinner and saw this new Korean food stand, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered their bibimbop with spicy pork. Just the presentation itself looked bad. Also, there was a lot of fatty pieces amongst the pork. Most likely I won’t order from here again.

New Korean joint at Valley Fair’s Food Court. Like the basic menu choices of Korean beef, other white meat and Kalibi(ribs). Flavors are Americanized bland so be sure to put lots of their spicy sauce to spice it up. K boys at counter are curteous and efficient.
