Absolute worst customer service! They deceitfully led me to believe they were my company’s current service provider, and forcefully took over our account. Now they’re are insisting upon a cancellation of services for $ 1800(we were connected with them for all of two days) Also we have since filed complaints to the BBB, so have many other companies nationwide. Scammers claiming to be AT&T, just go ahead and hangup on them. BEWARE!!!

Considering Birch Communications? Run, Run without looking back. Read the reviews and be warned! Their contract’s small print automatically renews automatically without notice! To cancel the contract, after the initial term, you need to start four months before the renewal date. Customer Service by voice is 0 out of 10, voice calls automatically go on hold for ever! Our email service went down on Dec. 24, 2015 and came up on the 25th. Email Management: 0 out of 10 1. Once an account is created it can not be removed! 2 Moving Accounts to a new provider is a disaster, Birch claims it takes 5 – 7 days to close an account? No emails can be sent or received. Will update the actual transfer time. We singed a contract with Cbeyond in 2011 which was a major mistake going with an unknown company and our failure to read the small print. Birch purchased Cbeyond and provides the same poor service. Run, Run!

Stay as far away as possible. Dishonest as can be. Terminated as per their protocol and now they chose to increase an early termination fee I shouldn’t have to begin with. They will lie on the phone, make mistake after mistake. If I ran my business this way I’d be bankrupt. If you are crazy enough to go with them, get employee name and number during every call.

Careful, people! After I experienced the disconnection for the whole day, they’ve reached me the Next day and said«we are going to send out an a technician, and if we don’t find anything wrong, we will charge you» I was so surprised by how they are taking their responsibilities! I’m now searching for the new service from the different company now.

This company bought out CBeyond. When it happened, I thought thank God, maybe now I’ll get some service. Unfortunately for me(and anyone else using this company) that was not the case. The service is bad. The customer support is worse. They don’t return phone calls. Their tech support is incompetent. The ONLY logical explanation I can come up with is that they are in this to MAXIMIZE profit by MINIMIZING service. When I’d finally had enough I cancelled. Now they’re trying to nail me for a $ 3,000 cancellation fee! DONOT do business with this company. I guarantee(GUARANTEE) you will be sorry. You’ve been warned…

I want to warn people about this dishonest company. When you google«Birch communications review», you will find many bad reviews. And with my experience, 1 star is perfectly appropriate. To terminate your account with this company is very very very difficult. First, they don’t tell you how to terminate your account. When you call in the customer support, each representative tells you different things. In my case, after transferred 5 different departments, one lady said they accept only fax termination request. So, I sent our termination request by fax, in May 2015. I also e-mailed them just in case they ignore the fax. In June, our new phone provider tried to port the phone numbers out from Birch. However, Birch Communications declined the port-out requests with many ridiculous reasons such as «our address is not correct», «Their request from had an error.» etc, etc. When I called in to fix the address, the first customer support said she had no access to do it, then next customer support said it showed the correct address, etc. It was a nightmare.
At the end, the new company managed to port out the numbers successfully within June. Yey, we are all done??? No, not that easy. They withdrew a full amount charge from our bank in July. When I called in again today, a customer service lady said«there are remaining connections in the accounts, and It will take 30 days to remove them.» although I have a written 30 days notice in May! What is more disturbing is that Birch Connect portal site does not allow you to change your own payment method or payment amount. You cannot stop your own payment! We are about to visit our business lawyer and stop payment from the bank.
