Linda and her team do SUCH a nice job… top notch! I’ve never trusted my art work with anybody else. When I moved out of the Bay Area short-term, I still brought her things to frame. She does anti-glare so and UV protection so that light/sun won’t damage the art. I love the choices she has and her expert eye is really good for making recommendations and improving upon my ideas. Note she can ship for you if that is more convenient. Also, her studio is a nice little getaway from the hectic world out there; I go in and am transformed in a Zen-like way.

Scroll down for key points Jennifer called me last week and asked if I would like her to deliver my framed artwork, since I am disabled and have trouble getting around. I was so impressed, I hadn’t even asked! She brought it by, and it was amazingly beautiful! The frame and mat came out better than I could have possibly imagined. It was the perfect set up for my self-prorate, bringing out all of the emotion, and complimenting the colors of the piece. One corner of my artwork wasn’t laying exactly the way I wanted it to(The picture had been damaged by being left in storage for 10 years, NOT damaged at the shop). I commented on it and Jennifer said it was no problem and she would take it back to the shop and fix it. She transported my artwork back to the shop, fixed the art, found a tiny speck on the glass, fixed it again, and brought it back to my apartment today… perfect! It looks so amazing and so much better than I had even hoped. When she arrived with my artwork she brought in a bag of tools and picture hanging supplies and offered to hang the picture for us! There isn’t a lot of room in our apartment, so Jennifer actually took off her shoes and stood on our bed to hang the art exactly where we wanted it. She measured the wall about half a dozen times to make sure she wouldn’t make any extra holes, and that it was perfectly placed the first time. When she was done, she checked the balance and it was perfectly centered! Not one centimeter of adjustment needed. When I originally brought in my artwork it was warped and dirty and damaged. Jennifer really took her time with it. She cleaned all of the dust and dirt off of it gently without causing any damage, and got it to lay as flat as was possible, without damaging or straining the materials. After she fixed the corner, it really looked as good as I think it could possibly ever be. I never thought my art could look this good displayed, and my fiancé‘ and I now proudly have it hanging in our bedroom. I smile every time I see the hanging over our bed, and am so thankful for all of the hard work Jennifer put into framing and preserving my piece. Key Points: *Beautiful professional workmanship *Careful cleaning and handling delicate original artwork *Delivery *Professional hanging *Warm and understanding attitude *Only down side was the one corner was not perfect the first time, but it was a difficult piece to frame(3D piece, warped and damaged by storage) and Jennifer made it right by fixing it and having a great attitude about it.

I have brought two limited edition giclee on canvas prints to Linda for framing in the past. Linda was helpful and creative in choosing the perfect frame for each work. It took some time to get the framing completed — especially when I picked the special order wood — but I was not in a hurry, she set expectations appropriately, and I know she can work with customers on a schedule. Thanks to Linda, I have beautifully framed art for less than I would expect to pay at the framer connected to the gallery I bought the art at.

Framing is an art rarely appreciated out in the wild. Yes, we love our food in the bay. We’ll review every aspect of the ambiance, the servers, their clothing. We review the look and smell and even the parking. We love our food that much, but when it comes to smaller shops and outfits, we are a little blind. Four Winds is one of those hidden gems that you used to hear about only after living in a town for a few years. Oh, you need frames? You should talk to Linda. Why? Because Four Winds is a gem, hidden in the massive sprawl of the slowly growing South Bay megacity. The cliché is that the difference here is love — but the difference here, is love. Linda loves; she loves her frames, she loves taking care of you, and she loves her art. Yes, you will pay slightly more than other frame shops, but she cares about her results. She will take all the time needed, not only to finish the work but most importantly, to work with you to help you make the right choices. She is skilled and cares, and that makes the difference. Set aside a little time and make the drive to Four Winds. I promise you, the result is worth the effort.

Linda is terrific. I’ve been hit with some sticker shock on framing projects in the past, so I entered this neighborhood business with a smidge of trepidation. I had a slightly damaged piece of artwork to be reframed and I thought I knew the most cost-effective way to go about it. Linda came up with a creative option I hadn’t considered that was also fairly economical, and I love the results. This small shop has a good selection of mats and frames, exceptionally friendly service and I feel their pricing was competitive for the quality of work — I wouldn’t hesitate to bring another framing job here.

i just picked up three pieces i had framed and i am thrilled! they look even better than i could have possibly imagined. linda is fantastic! she has a wide variety of frames and mats, and seems to know every frame and mat she has available. she worked with me to show me several options for each piece and helped me craft a unique look for each one, considering the style, size, and texture. please remember that quality custom framing is not cheap. but, you get what you pay for. i took in three prints that are nice, but just that, prints. i walked out with three pieces of art that i am proud to display in my home. i am definitely going back the next time i need to have something framed since this is an independent business, linda honestly wants you to be satisfied with your purchase. she even added additional hooks to one of my pieces on the spot today in case i changed my mind about how i want to hang it. plus she is friendly and does a top-notch job! parking is in the back,(turn on to newhall). the shop is closed sunday and monday and open the rest of the week until 5 pm. but if you need to pick something up, you can call and arrange a time outside of business hours.
