I sent my parents on a tour with them around the West Coast and I felt terrible about it afterwards. The entire thing feels slightly scammy. I paid a lot of money already, but at every point, they had«options» that seemed overpriced and at times were simply mandatory with extra charge. When my 60+ yo parents were not interested in going to Universal Studios for an extra fee, they told us we had to pay more money for a city tour — isn’t that what I already paid for in the original fee? A tour of places they go? The guide then told my parents that he could just leave them somewhere in the middle of LA and they could find their way back. WTH? At this point, I couldn’t even yell at them as I was terrified of them abandoning my non-English speaking parents in the middle of LA. Also, the bus was broken so the start was delayed for a few hours, then it broke down in the middle of the highway and the guests were left without food, water, or AC for hours. Nice going, guys. I feel like a terrible daughter for putting my parents through this. Never again. And FYI, the schedule is pretty grueling — my parents said they had to get up by 5am on few of the days. This may not be for those imagining a comfortable tour. Also the locations in SF, San Jose, and Santa Clara are the one and same company.
