Do not let this guy near your mouth. He and his partner did a bunch of dandy work in my mouth between 1992 and 1997, and I’ve been paying dearly to have it all redone since then. They did six crowns, all but one of which had gaps between the top of the crown and the gum line, and I didn’t know any better at the time that isn’t how they’re supposed to be done. He assured me they were fine when another dentist in Palo Alto looked at them and said they were junk. He replaced two that his partner did, one of which had bacteria growing in a pocket between the tooth and gum which caused the floss to stink. But he didn’t do much better job the second time, and one of those two fell off a few years ago, with a tobacco-​juice colored decay on the tooth below. Luckily my current dentist was able to clean it up and install a new crown. My current dentist also just replaced two other crowns that Dr. Dollar did, both of which had decay in the underlying tooth. Not only was Dr. Dollar incompetent, but he also let newly minted dentists out of school work on my teeth, which in retrospect I shouldn’t have tolerated. Furthermore, when it came to extracting my wisdom teeth, he referred me to some clown who it turned out had a habit of leaving pieces of the teeth behind. Luckily one such piece he left in me was caught on my next set of X-​Rays. Said surgeon did the same thing to one of my co-​workers and another co-worker’s wife.

Both my wife and I have been going to Dr. Dollar for nearly 25 years. Great staff, both the dentists and the office staff are extremely pleasant and very timely. All the work we’ve had done was done right the first time with minimal discomfort. Very happy with the practice.

I have been a patient of Jeff Dollar’s since 1993. At the time of becoming his patient, I was in my mid-30’s and had no need for any restorations, just regular cleanings and maintenance.
In later years, I have needed a few crowns along the way. I’m satisfied the treatment was appropriate, & I am pleased with the work. I have only encountered good experiences with Dr. Dollar and his staff.

WARNING: My husband and I have been haunted by Dr. Dollar’s work for the past 23 years. And my husband’s current dentist has had several of Dr. Dollar’s old patients go in to her for problems he created. Back in 1990, I went to Dr. Dollar for a routine cleaning. I was 27 yrs old and had had perfect teeth my whole life, no cavities. Well, he said I had a cavity and drilled out almost half my tooth! I was horrified to discover this. It caused me so much pain for months that I went to get a root canal, but the surgeon said the pain would eventually go away on its own hopefully, which it did. The filling fell out soon after, and he put it back in and it fell out again soon after that. I finally switched to a good dentist and that filling has stayed in for 2 decades now. Also, my husband has had 4 molars, also drilled and filled by Dr. Dollar, that kept falling out, and needed crowns and root canals. Like me, his teeth had been perfect, no cavities before Dr. Dollar. His new dentist said she has had several patients that need crowns/​root canals after their fillings fell out, fills put in by Dr. Dollar. His name is very suitable! BTW, I am a very honest person and Dr. Dollar has been a real nightmare for me. If I can save one person from the agony I’ve been through, it’s worth writing this review.
