We wanted to soju and decided to try a new place especially since the name of the place matched up with my nickname. The ladies claimed we had to order a dish/plate to accompany our soju order. Is It just me or do they put that requirement on everyone? I don’t recall VIP doing that. They were nice servers, just didn’t like that main fact I mentioned above. Their restaurant almost looks like a bar within itself, so why can’t we just order soju? We could have sat at the bar if they told us we had to in order to just get soju. The free snack chips were good. Kitchen pancake was the spiciest I’ve ever had. Had to invite another friend over to take a crack at it since the three of us couldn’t handle the heat. We were lounging enjoying our soju, but to be honest, the kimchee pancake did take an awful long time I come to notice

I like the place… felt like a good hangout spot. The outdoor patio is cool. But if you do not like cigarette smoke, stay away because just about everyone smokes out there. Food is not bad and price is so so. Some may say typical Korean drinking place but I can’t remember another in Santa Clara to make this place typical. I’ll go back.

Your typical Korean bar. I usually come here just for a chill night with friends. I like their large selection of flavored soju. I always sit outside. I like that they have a patio so we can smoke outside. I’ve only ordered/had their wings. They’re okay, nothing special. I like their complementary chips. Overall, I’ll definitely keep coming back. It’s the perfect place to just relax and chill.

Not sure why I keep coming back to this place. Maybe cause not many places are usually open very late around the area. And every once in a while you get some extreme kgirl hotties in there. They have a good selection of food/anju. Can have a decent meal if you have a late night craving. Korean pop playing on multiple TVs around the place. One thing, gotta check your bill and your change. Not sure if it’s just one server that does it or what. But have noticed overcharging on the bill, they corrected it after I spoke up. Another time they brought me back change short almost 20 bucks. This time around had to ask twice. The first time the guy came back with some coins, I yelled at him that I had said the first time that i needed a 20 back and he obliged this time. Hoping for some overly drunk patrons I guess.

Service was okay but they overcharged us by $ 31 + tips = about 50 or more. Total bill was 115. And they charged us $ 146. And this isn’t the first time they overcharged us like that. This is very disturbing and untrustworthy. Not only that, their food is not tasty at all, basic foods such as bu-dae jji ggae. Very disappointing and I am not coming back here again unless I want to get ripped off. Hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Great afterwork place to chill, always good to go after dinner time where its not too crowded. enjoyed the music there, they always play the newest kpop music. Love their fried food very much, best match with yogurt soju. Enjoyed both inside, or outside at the patio. Price wise i think it’s average, or a little above average, but i wouldn’t complain since there are not many choices in santa clara.

Everything was very good! THIS place has one of the best Korean fried chickens. VERY good service and love the jook-bal which is Korean styled pork feet!

The ever pressing issue for the youth community of Santa Clara: «It’s like 1AM, what’s even open right now?» The answer is: like nothing. LOL Like most Korean lounges, drinks and food are overpriced but you are paying for a place open later that’s casual on those days where you feel like going out but you don’t want to venture out clubbing. It’s obviously not a place I have the urge to go to but they have standard Korean«cocktails» and their fried chicken is really good!

We came here at 6pm on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. Minus 2 stars right off the bat for not carrying any wine by the glass. You had to purchase a bottle. I’m the only one in our group that drinks wine, so it didn’t make sense to go that route. We ordered some appetizers and snacks. Food was good for drinking food as everything was spicy or salty. Decent place to grab drinks and soju shots.

Yes this place is pricey, but no have I ever been jipped… yet! Hahaha! Just kidding! Just kidding! I love you Jujubee! From your delicious, refreshing OB to your cute, lit up outdoor patio. Regardless of all the Korean pubbies I’ve been to in the area, you definitely hold a special place in my heart! Haha! Or maybe it’s just your delicious octopus udon noodles that stole my heart away. Oh man. Soo good! The craving for this dish never ends. Always down for it any night! And the seafood pancake here is my favorite of all time. I have never had such flavor packed seafood pancake before. You’re awesome Jujubee!!!

Back in the day, during my first golden year of being 21, my friends would bring me here for drinks, great service, and later, race over to the karaōke place across the parking lot. Five years later, not much has changed. The service is excellent and accommodating. We showed up for a friend’s reunion and estimated we needed 15 seats without reservation. Instantly, they pulled up a bunch of mismatched tables and chairs and there was our dinner. The mixed soju drinks are dangerous. They taste really weak until you realize it’s too late!

Let’s start off with the fact this place is extremely overpriced. An example would be 15 dollar shots of some Hennessey which you can get a bottle for way cheaper than the amount of money you would spend getting shots at this place. We ordered 1 glass of beer 1 meal and a plate of fried chicken came out to be 50 bucks. We ordered the house special B and was presented with a less than edible looking plate. The hamburger steak was dry with some bottled barbecue sauce on top. It came with a pathetic amount of French fries two tempura shrimp and a kebab. Tempura was more tempura than shrimp. The kebab was put onto two smaller sticks and was pretty overcooked. The amount of food definitely not worth 25 dollars. We also ordered the spicy spicy friend chicken which was 17 dollars(2 more than the regular spicy chicken, like what?). This was better than the house special, but just barely. It was not spicy at all and I’m just a bit above jalapeños on my heat tolerance; it also had a very strange aftertaste. I will say they gave us a decent amount of chicken which is something when compared to the super over priced house special. It was below medicore food at prices way too high. Service was not great and this was the first and will be the last time we go here.

Whoa now, it’s been awhile since I came across a place so deserving of a one star review. However, this isn’t an attempt to thumbs down a restaurant but more of a service to warn future diners/guests to this establishment. The experience my friends and I had here at JuJu Bee last night was horrible, from lies to trying to take advantage us by tacking on items we didn’t order and numerous charges + voids on our cards all scream bad business and ethics. My friends and I(party of 6) came here after visiting Stix down the street, but wanted a smaller place to hang out at and that carried hard liquor. We order two shots of Hennessy and a bottle of Mango Soju as starters. We then ordered 5 more shots and the largest bottle of Hite. For food, Ddeokbokki with Ramen, Kalbi, Fried Chicken and Cheese Tonkatsu. Let’s just say the food is meh. When we ordered the largest bottle, «pitcher», of Hite we asked why the bottle was so small(small, glass bottle) the lady told us «Korea doesn’t have any more big size for beer, but later on maybe». Which made us question her because we ordered a large bottle of beer at Stix and it was okay. She then offers us Fat Tire that comes in a pitcher and we agree and say sure can we trade the small, untouched bottle for the pitcher. She then tells us, that we can’t because we opened the bottle of beer already … she’s the one who brought it to the table uncapped. So we settle for the small bottle of beer to share. After finishing up our alcohol and food, we get the bill. $ 249 for 6 people … sound pretty excessive. We double check to see what we order versus the bill. They added an extra entrée and over charged us for the shots and beer. We call the lady over and ask why we were over charged. First being, a mistake on adding an extra plate of food which they removed. Second, we ordered shots of Hennessy clearly stated on the menu for $ 12 a shot, but we were charged $ 15. She claims we got the«more expensive» Hennessy, which is a lie because she brought the bottle to our table to pour our shots and they it was just regular Hennessy. The beer was over charged because of her claims they didn’t have a large size, so we were charged that price for a smaller bottle. She goes back and removes the extra meal and changes the shot prices to what it’s supposed to be. We get the bill back, finally. Four of us pay in cash, the remaining two paid in card. Cash first then split the rest on the two cards, easy right? We get the cards back and one friend was charged $ 45 and the other $ 90 … What? They somehow tacked on an extra charge of $ 6 and that’s not even split cleaning in half. We tell them to void it cause they over charged us $ 6 and it wasn’t split correctly. They void it again and come back with a charge receipt for $ 60, $ 60 and $ 4.50. Yes, they charged three times for two people. Also, they include gratuity so it’s necessary and doesn’t reflect their service which I’m pretty sure is against the law as auto-gratuity has been removed. Hello IRS, if you’re reading this– where’s the enforcement? Definitely not worth the money we paid for subpar food and the service given in attempt to take advantage of diners and the tacked on automatic gratuity. They picked the wrong people to take advantage of as we work in food service, banks and loss prevention at a corporate company. Overly long review, but a fair warning. We will definitely not be coming back to support this bad business. It isn’t the money that primarily angers us, but the people here who believe they can take advantage of patrons that is disrespectful beyond belief. And yes, if you are a non-Korean, this place will discriminate the hell out of you as Kenny P. has said. It’s very apparent.

I came here with Angeline H. after a rainy night at Vip Oriental. It was one of the bars opened late on El Camino. I want to say that we came around 1230am or 1am(??) but my memory was swarming with the soju shots we took prior. Originally we just wanted to drink, but the servers kept coming over to ask if we were ready to order. Eventually, we told them we didn’t want to order anything but they said we HAVE to order food as well. What? Apparently it’s written on the back of the menu… We took a look at the menu and everything is ridiculously expensive! They’re probably making a 70% profit for what they’re charging. For a mediocre place, they are seriously trying to pick our pockets. After much contemplation, we ordered some spicy pork($ 15). The food came out fairly quickly and it was good, but pretty salty. I don’t think I’d come back here after realizing that I MUST(underline three times) order food in order to have a drink.
