I’m on something of a quest to find the best ramen around here, and this was close to home — so I had to try it. I had the kimchi ramen and he had the udon. We shared a Takayaki appetizer(I hope that’s spelled right.) The ramen broth was great — I loved the addition of kimchi. The noodles, unfortunately, were sub-par, especially in comparison to Misoya, which I had visited not too long ago. They were very thin, almost like phở noodles. The udon was plain and simple– nothing to write home about. I will say, though, that the fried shrimp and veggies were delicious. And the appetizer was a bit too… saucy. Not the best, but also not the worst I’ve had.

Sloooowwwww… Waited 30mins to get a bowl of noodles. It wasn’t even busy. Marginal food. Totally not worth it No apology no service. Won’t be coming back

This is my go-to place for ramen on a late night. I work in the area and sometimes I work passed the time thAt a majority of ramen places in the area close. So I’m very thrilled to have found this place! It’s located right off el camino next to a hotel, so you’ll have to watch for the sign! Their udon comes out in a stone pot and is DELICIOUS, the broth isn’t too bland not too salty. The ramen is great here! Noodles are cooked perfectly and the broth is fantastic! My only«eh» moment here is the egg. Sometimes it’s cooked perfectly soft, and gooey when cracked in my broth… Other times… It’s harder than expected. Overall, this is my place to go when I’m in the area or in craving for some ramen late night!

I really didn’t like the ramen they had. Their menu is very short only about 4 ramens and 4 udon noodle soups. We ordered spicy miso and one of the regular ramens and they were both really boring and all I could taste was garlic instead of broth. I also payed extra for my ramen to be spicy and it didn’t taste spicy at all. The fries that was our appetizer tasted over fried and really hard. I came a couple months ago and tried their udon which was also disappointing… if you’re Asian and you know noodles then this isn’t a good place to go to lol. There’s lack of flavor in all their food. I give two stars only because the service was great but I didn’t enjoy my two visits here sorry lol

We got here around 10 pm and there were plenty of open tables. It looks like they are doing construction on the opposite end of the restaurant. I have been here about four other times coming from Santa Cruz so I really like how it is open so late but this time wasn’t as great as it usually is. We got our food about 10ish minutes after ordering which we thought was pretty quick. I ordered the Kotteri Miso with extra ramen. The portion was a good size, I didn’t finish my meal so I think I would have been fine without ordering the extra ramen. The overall meal was satisfying.

Went around 10PM and was immediately seated. There were not many people, but that may be because it was a Tuesday. The server seemed friendly and took our order quickly. Our food arrived fairly quickly, about 10 minutes after ordering. I got the Large Spicy Kotteri Miso ramen with extra egg. I usually like extra noodles in my ramen, but I feel like I would’ve been fine with a regular size. The broth wasn’t as spicy as I would’ve liked, but it was still a satisfying meal. Overall was a pretty pleasant dining experience.

Not like Kahoo Ramen on Saratoga at all, actually. The menu is quite different. The noodles were nice and chewy, but the broth was lacking in flavor. Definitely not bad, but just didn’t quite deliver at the same level as Kahoo Ramen. Lots of parking and no wait here though.

I have been here at least 5 times so far. This place is very convenient for me due to the pricing, and hours. Sometimes I like to have a quick cheap bowl of ramen and since I work late hours I am happy that this is one of the few restaurants that can help me out! When I tried their spicy kotteri miso I was hooked, I took my sister here after work and it hit the spot. The broth was just right, not too salty. Kahoo is currently doing some reinventions or construction with their restaurant I believe, and there was also only 1 server. This does effect the experience, but I was just there to eat and get out so I wasn’t bothered. I ordered extra noodles with mine, and was able to finish it in one sitting. We also ordered some green tea ice cream in the end which completed the meal. I visited again with my boyfriend and a friend, ordered the same thing and extra noodles and a tempura roll which is only $ 2.00 if you order ramen! The tempura roll was good, but this time my ramen was not up to par. I feel like the ramen here is inconsistent however I was pleasantly surprised to have a runny yolk this time vs a hard boiled as they tend to do. This isn’t the best ramen place out there, clearly but I think it is one of the cheapest. Hopefully they revise some things and work on some improvements. I plan on coming back every once in awhile.

Ramen noodles looked like done using commercial dried noondles. Hard boiled eggs were cold. Soup was bland and lifeless, way to oily. Service was sub-par. Doesn’t look like a branch of the excellent Kahoo Ramen on Moorepark.

The Pumpkin roll was acceptable but I wouldn’t order it again. The rice tasted more like regular rice than high quality sushi rice. The pumpkin was good but the sauce was a bit overpowering. It was both sweet and savory. The shrimp tempura udon was pretty good for udon. The best part was the tempura which came out hot and crispy. We opted to eat it by dipping in tempura sauce instead of eating it in the soup(sogs it up). The udon broth had a nice dashi flavor. Udon noodles were soft in a good way. Kahoo deluxe: broth was garlicky but had less of the pork flavor. It was definitely not a plain broth but it is slightly too garlicky for my taste. The noodles were very thin and not very flavorful. All the toppings were cool so even after submerging in the broth, they were just barely warm. The clams were good and not gritty at all. The Cha Sui was pretty good. This is the only ramen place so am aware of that is open late. They open till 1AM Tuesday — Saturday. I consider this the Denny’s of ramen. Not the best but it is good enough when you need some late night food.

A huge meh. The noodle was basically instant noodle. Eggs were precooked cold eggs thrown into the soup… And the place smelled terrible(probably cuz the age of the building). If I’m hungry for ramen in middle of the night with nowhere to go, I might come here again… Actually make that a no, I think I’ll grab some in and out instead.

So we found why some night we come the food is much better than other nights. The chef actually changes at 10 pm and this chef is a lot better than the one in his previous shift. This explained why when we come before 10 pm the boiled egg is always overcooked and the chicken in our udon lacks taste. After 10 pm everything comes out perfect. Conclusion: we only come for late night now! The service is still awesome since it’s the same guy.

The ramen here is just all right for me. I had spicy miso, but it wasn’t that spicy. The egg was very hard boiled — I like it soft boiled in my ramen. Also, I’m a big corn person, but kahoo doesn’t have corn as an additional topping :/ The plus is that it’s open late! Until 1AM! And it wasn’t packed when I came in. Parking wasn’t really that big of an issue either. Come if you’re having a late night ramen craving!

I came here around 12:15 am on a Saturday night with a group of 8 and it was pretty much empty. I split the kahoo deluxe ramen. We initially tried to order extra noodles, but the ramen already comes with extra noodles. It took a few back and forths to realize that we definitely didn’t want to double the amount of extra noodles.(that would have been too much food) The orders came in about 20 minutes. The noodles are extremely thin and not very flavorful, but the broth is great. It was just the right size for a midnight snack.

Standard ramen fare — can’t complain, especially because they have awesome late night hours. Husband liked the kottori ramen(I found it a bit too salty and sour) while I enjoyed my shoyu ramen. Decent bar and table seating. Takes card. Decent parking.

So when this first opened a couple of years ago, this place was just ok. Slow, but pleasant service and decent food not at all comparable to the OG location off of Moorpark. Each time I come, it’s still more worth it to drive a bit farther for a different location. But! Tonight was the first time I was here since it’s changed to Kahoo Noodle and I must say they have upped their game. Broth is more flavorful, noodles were chewy, egg was seasoned and softboiled. We also ordered Karaage Don, fried chicken over rice, and that was crispy tender thigh nuggets over seasoned rice. I would order the chicken off to the side next time so the steam from the rice doesn’t take away the crisp of the chicken. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, about a 3.5 stars for food, 4.5 for service and 5 for new late hours. I’m happy with the changes :) still not as good as OG store or some of the nearby spots, but definitely back in the game as a contender.

Santouka has been my main Ramen joint for some time now but I’m happy to say that Kahoo has just made my «Go-To» List. If I could award a 4.5 I would but a couple of faux pas kept it from getting that 5 Star review. I had the Kotteri Spicy Miso that was outta-sight… I had originally ordered the non-spicy option but they mistakenly gave me the spicy but it was ok since it tasted so darn good. I didn’t want to stop and have my feeding frenzy interrupted so I just kept on slurping away at the garlic-spicey goodness. Also ordered the Yaki Nigiri or Rice ball with Cod roe… Lordy, Lordy that was awesome… I swear, I could probably eat about 5 of those crunchy-salty-fishy-toasty lil gems… I would’ve taken a pic but I polished mine off before I thought of even doing so… I was soooo in a rhythm!!! I saw an order of their chicken Karaage come out to a neighboring table and I can tell you I’m already planning my next visit to try a few other tasty morsels from the menu. Pricing is very affordable in comparison to portion size but the best part is they’re open till 1am!!! You better believe I’ll be making some midnight runs to get me some Kahoo. They only had one girl on the floor so she was quite busy but she tried her best. Ambiance is… well… Not what you’d expect of a Ramen joint but at least it wasn’t dirty. Kinda dark and I don’t think the patio area would be a nice place to eat as it sits along El Camino Real. But like I said, Kahoo is now on my list so I will definitely be going back and highly recommend it to all Ramen fans out there. You’ll definitely Yahoo for Kahoo!!!(Sorry, I just HAD to say it)

This place is decent. No wait durning lunch hour and conveniently placed across the street from Paris Baguette. Had their Ramen Special which consisted of the shoyu ramen and some roll. I wasn’t impressed with the ramen and it tasted as if it was sitting on the counter for a while because it wasn’t hot like freshly made soup. The broth lacked flavor and was over made up with a lot of green onions. The toppings lacked, but maybe that’s my fault for expecting it to be like Orenchi or Kotetsu. The meat was dry and the egg wasn’t a soft boil. My sister had their tempura udon and she looked like she enjoyed it. If they offered yakitori then maybe I’d be back for more… Did witness a homeless man come in and start to eat the display once your walk into the resturant, that was really random!

The rating scale was right, «MEH» was exactly how I felt after eating that bowl of ramen. My boyfriend and I are avid ramen eaters and we love Kahoo Ramen off Saratoga and Moorpark. My sister, boyf, and I went looking for ramen and this Kahoo had no wait at all at 12pm. Which was a little strange to me since all other ramen places usually have a line out the door around this time. Kahoo is very spacious compared to Moorpark’s and parking is a breeze. The inside décor is nice and clean looking. It was raining pretty hard outside and that usually calls for a nice thick bowl of ramen! The menu only had about 4 kinds of ramen bowls available, but had an extensive appetizer menu. I got the spicy kotteri miso, my boyfriend had the regular kotteri miso, and my sister had this clam ramen. My kotteri miso was slightly on the sweeter side and not as thick as I would like it. The cha shu had good flavor but the meat was too lean for my liking. There should be a balance of meat and fat and it had no fat at all. But, the eggs inside the ramens were perfectly soft boiled! The spicy ramen was only about a level above the regular ramen, so I had to ask for more chili powder to put inside. My sister’s ramen did not work for me. The clams were chewy and the broth was definitely not hot. It tasted like just clams and water. No thanks! I probably won’t be coming back here. I’ll make the trek to Saratoga to stand in line for the other Kahoo.

Defying the odds is one of the things I like doing; especially if I had to travel 35 miles down to Santa Clara to fulfill the challenging task. This corner Ramen place is located on Santa Clara side of El Camino Real and located across the street from the popular Lawrence Food Plaza. Despite reading many negative reviews from other Unilocalers, I wanted to see for myself. «Wish me the best!» For dinner, I ordered the Kahoo deluxe Ramen soup. For $ 12.50, the soup has Cha shu pork, a hard boiled brown egg, ramen noodle, bamboo shoot and vegetables in a thick broth. With all the aforementioned filling in this soup, this is a very hearty bowl of soup. Many of you know I am not a Ramen-expert by any stretch of any imagination, but the broth was«way» too salty for me. Ramen: For an extra $ 2.00, I also ordered a side of Cha Shu Sushi. The sushi had a nice presentation. But the pork filling had a gray appearance. Sushi: As I was suffering and inducing the pain from my meal, I asked myself, «Why did I come here?» Normally I am very generous with my ratings on my reviews. For me, two-star is as bad as it gets. Unilocalers are right. This place is not good!
